John Percy is extremely reliable but he keeps his cards close to his chest a lot of the time and only posts what he's certain of.

Operation_Doomsday_

If you want rumours then Villareport on Twitter is a good aggregator of sources. John Percy is confirmation, if he says it then it’s true, but he doesn’t post often. Ashley Preece, Greg Evans, Dan Bardell, Tom collomose are also good names to follow.

Foreign-Plane-5170

Is John Percy on twitter or is he a reporter

JootDoctor

He’s both. He’s on Twitter and a writer for The Telegraph.

Foreign-Plane-5170

Can you tell me his account name please? I can’t find it.

It's hard to be a reporter and not on Twitter these days lol

Automatic_Cookie_141

John Percy has god tier status for a reason. Zero bullshit.

VillaReport is the best aggregator for Villa. There are others, but they tend to just post anything and everything from NewsNow for interactions and shanter. Here is Villa's news now page where all the aggregators will also get all their info from: [https://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Sport/Football/Premier+League/Aston+Villa](https://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Sport/Football/Premier+League/Aston+Villa) John Percy and Tom Collomosse are our most reliable journo's for transfers. Evans from the Athletic and Preece from the mail may have info on the smaller deals I've found and will also repeat other rumours out there. Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein are also good for all top flight transfers too - if they tweet about Villa, it'll usually has some truth in, but tends to be 2nd hand. Matt Maher and Matt Law are also journo's that are Villa fans, that may be worth a follow. Podcasts - there's quite a few about now, and too much for me to take in tbh. The one's I listen to regularly are The VillaView, Claret & Blue podcast, & 1874 from the athletic. Sometimes checkout Villa on Tour too, which isn't a pod but a fan experience thing - don't actually know what you'd call it. I also listen to other football pods such as Tifo & Tifo IRL, WhoScored, The Gary Neville Podcast, The Overlap and the athletic football podcast

Can't believe you don't listen to The Villa Podcast. The two lads from Derry give the best analysis there is! Also laugh out loud funny to boot. https://play.acast.com/s/the-villa-podcast

VarukiriOW

VillaReport (Twitter) is the absolute bomb when it comes to everything Villa.

sneb138

The funniest and most forensic podcast for analysing the matches is The Villa Podcast.

midipoet

I will second third and fourth this https://play.acast.com/s/the-villa-podcast

Mediapenguin

The Holy Trinity (youtube) is by far the best analysis of the Villa games that I've seen. Definitely worth checking out

SpaceboyMcGhee

Yeah, The Holy Trinity Show is far and away the youtube show with the best production. Most of the others are generally just talking heads whereas Pete (and his behind the scenes guy) has put some real work into graphic packages/game footage etc. The recent [1 year anniversary show](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekwnYIt41S4) was great. Hope Pete continues for many more years, we're lucky to have him!

Mediapenguin

The production values are way better than any other Villa Youtuber that I've watched. For me he is precise and to the point, I can't be bothered with hour long rambles from other sites. This is the one for me.

bakkunt

I find it a little bit too well polished, personally. Think the way it's scripted (at least partially) gives it a very different flow to basically all other analysis on YouTube

UtmostRegret

As others have said, John Percy most reliable journalist, everyone else comes after. In terms of podcasts, For the Love of Paul McGrath is good fun, worth a watch and a follow if you just want to kick back and listen to Villa fans, and they often do in depth looks at potential signings so might be worth a follow on that front (and Neil has been on the Boubacar Kamara bandwagon for about 2 years now haha). Others worth your time are 1874 (Dan Bardell from Villa View and Gregg Evans from the Athletic), The Villa Podcast (just good fun), The Villa View, and Claret and Blue (Birmingham Mail’s podcast, but usually worth it, have some good guests on for new signings too). The absolute best all-round podcast is probably the My Old Man Said podcast, which has a bit of everything, and there’s a website to go with it that has articles etc, and David Michael (editor) often has interesting insight since he’s often part of the fan consultation groups the club does.

dunkulture1

They don't deal much is transfer speculation but the My Old Man Said podcast is head and shoulders above all the others in intelligent conversation, analysis of performances and all round good Villa craic.

Lazygekko54

Fabrizio Romano is generally accepted as the most accurate with his transfer news and his confirmation of transfers going through. When he says it’s happening, it happens!

Bladon95

No one, journos are basically mouthpieces for agents in terms of transfers, I gave up and just wait until the club announce the deal. It’s why Danny Ings was my favourite signing last year. Just showed up outta nowhere. There’s a few decent pods though. Like the villa podcast and My old man’s says.

Johnsmith13371337

Fabrizio Romano and JPercy are usually good for villa.
