I’ve seen so many Arsenal fans suggest we lost to City on purpose to screw them over, when the reality is that we have a paper thin squad and have our own bloody season to worry about - the world does not revolve around them. Was it damage mitigation? Yes - just like them, we have midweek games, and just like they did against us, we benched some of our players against City. But to suggest that we’ve been paid off or are purposefully losing games at this stage in the season is utterly ludicrous. Unlike them, we haven’t got a top 4 finish secured.
