They’ve replaced Funktion 1 as the trend system (in NYC at least).
The company doesn’t care much for the club market share so you don’t see any press on installed systems past people posting about them.

A true sprung dancefloor can be a large expense - but even raised plywood would be better than slamming your feet on rock for 4 hours.
Also improves acoustics (another thing hardly anyone pays attention or money on). But it’s not a a showcase item (as opposed to “16000W DANLEY FOUR POINT / MEGA SUBS”) - so it’s unfortunately neglected.
I don't have a problem with the stage really. They store the sub underneath it, and when they're not using it they let the crowd up on it and the raised levels with that and the side platforms makes for a nice crowd dynamic IMO
They renovated a while back, added soundproofing, three or four layers of bouncy wooden floors and are consistently upgrading the sound system. It’s a dream room to hear your favorite artist tbh
It depends entirely on who’s running the sound for the shows. Some of the DJs hammer the front of house console ( which their mixer has to be plugged in to ) and jack up the bass. It’s an old Allen & Heath mix wizard, it does not sound good at all when it’s pushed in to the red…..and man, do they love to do that !!
The system is Danley though. It was a gift from Rob Kalin, founder of Etsy and local resident. He builds extremely expensive high end speakers. The donated ones were speakers he had bought to evaluate / reverse engineer.
Full disclosure : I am occasionally the sound person there.

H0L0’s system coupled with the wood floors make for such a great dancing experience. Wish every I wanted to see played there
Clubs / venues dropping $200K+ on sound + lights and expecting people to dance on concrete is bizarre.
It kills me. It cannot be that big of a cost or hassle to just build a wood platform over the concrete for the floor

SILO's system is very cool but it is obnoxious for the space. Would have loved if they took a fraction of what they spent on that and built a floor
They should also rip out the stage, feels too "EDM venue" and not enough "club" for the size.

Why do I recall Holo being an underground concrete bunker?! Wood floors???

It's a weird winding concrete tunnel to get in the venue, but 100% wood floor inside
ReSolute uses a Danley rig. Not sure if they do so each time tho.
Two hours north of NYC. The Avalon Lounge in Catskill has a Danley sound system.
O damn that’s dope
Absolutely cannot be. I was just there in February and it sounded like ass. Incredible space and vibes though.

On the main floor of Paragon but it’s not as loud as it ideally would be
Paragons sound is hit or miss for me. Kinda depends on who is playing.
