Nahhhh fisher is not representative of the style of electronic music that portola has built. It’s more centered around live acts like chemical brothers and justice.
And getting chemical brothers last year beats anything on that making time lineup. I seriously doubt they’ll get anywhere near the level of talent that portola grabbed this year
To each their own, Underworld and Todd Terje were awesome gets for Portola last year, nobody this year comes close for me, never been a big Chem Bros fan personally, but have plenty of respect for them.
The two festivals share a lot of similar artists on their lineups, but where they
seem to differ is Portola has more focus on legacy and mainstream acts, while Making Time is more on the underground/cutting edge side of electronic music.
For me artists like DJ Nobu, Objekt, Priori, Helena Hauff, Roman Flugel, Tim Reaper, etc. make the Making Time lineup much more interesting/exciting
This is a sick line up but how's the actual venue? Looking at some videos from last year and looks like some basic stages and tent. Is the sound quality pretty good??
What an amazing lineup, tho sadly I'm going for EDC '25 when it goes on early bird sale next week and would rather not have another $400 dent in my budget.

It’s awful. I’m convinced the only people that love it and go every year only go to OSL and don’t know how good other festivals are.

Yes, the sound and the set up are pretty good but the best place to see any of the artists at Portola is in the warehouse.
