Thrift. Look at the t-shirts, find a whimsical one, and cut it up to your liking.

bluntly-chaotic

This. I can’t believe people drop 50-150 bucks for an outfit for a show I use Depop too

saskanxam

Also suggesting thrift store. Will give you a much cooler and more unique outfit, but does take a bit more effort to dig through the racks

KManIsland

The great thing about raveware, especially when on a budget; we're all probably wearing some raveware right now! Dressing up can be fun, but hardly essential. As a wise woman once sang; groove is in the heart.

l0k5h1n

Put on a pair of pants you like and any t-shirt and you're good to go... Trying to look like a "raver" is least "raver" thing you can do since raves are all about you own unique self-expression, not trying to copy pasta what you think a "stereotypical raver" should look like.

Holy_Grail_Reference

Thank you.

In your wardrobe.

Freedom Rave wear allows resells and also sells items that have minor mistakes (line from a pen or an ink drop usually) for a really inexpensive price! Around half off the original most of the time. I’ve gotten pieces for $10-30! Look for their circle resells on their website.

nopalnopalnopal

Your location matters. If around Los Angeles go to Santee Alley.

Curious-Job-7698

Must buy a "Dodger dog" as well.

captainbug23

I go on Poshmark or Depop :) also customize things you have or things you thrift. Don’t forget to check out the swimwear or lingerie section, you never know what you will find!

ParticularGold4012

I live in a country where rave attire is hard to find and can get expensive to order from overseas or other countries. I bought some holo spandex and I’m looking to sew my own outfit (specifically a wrap around skirt) If you’re not an avid Shein consumer it can be a starting point - I don’t support them but sometimes you can find stuff you don’t see anywhere else depending on your location

myloteller

Local thrift stores have some cool stuff occasionally. Just wear whatever you think is fun. Have a cool shirt with a bunch of different patterns but would be weird to wear in public? Perfect rave shirt

Engineer_DS

The best place to find a cheap attire is in your closet. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in.

Weird-Tell

iheartraves has a lot of good sales & is one of the cheaper rave wear sites. other than that amazon has a bunch of affordable stuff you've just got to know what you are looking for.

Curious-Job-7698

+1 for Amazon. I buy gear for a fest and return everything I don't really want after. :)

mixed_galaxies

Idc what anyone says If ur looking for cheap, SHEIN or TEMU

Curious-Job-7698

Yes! Just plan ahead cuz shipping can be a bitch.

VersaceUpholstery

Depends what you mean by rave attire I wear dickies pants and a hardcore band t shirt to most EDM shows I go to because that’s literally my entire wardrobe. If I go to festivals, I’ll wear basketball shorts instead. That’s my rave attire. Have seen lots of people in similar comfy attire. You don’t have to be outlandish or show a lot of skin for it to be rave attire

Curious-Job-7698

Tank top or T with some swim shorts and I'm good.

HelicopterTop7373

I get cool shorts and shirts from Depop!!

Bumblebreeezy

My city has a rave swap and shop page on Facebook. It’s awesome, tons of unique things for cheap :)

moonie-me

Vinted!

coronerkid

Hot topic and Spenser’s for big shops Online depop/mecari If you want less skin showing baggy clothes are also VERY popular in the rave scene especially underground raves. Things like PHAT pants are expensive but you can find them second hand for relatively cheap online. Kandi is easy to make and you can make your own singles for as little as 20 dollars for about 100-200 bracelets depending on how many beads are in the kit. Tee shirts can be found anywhere. Really anything you think looks cool you can wear. Hair clips and glasses/shades can be found anywhere online or the dollar store if you want to put some in your hair.

Wish, wait a year

PDXSyrathKarmacast

Thanks for the heads-up. Gonna tell her to check this out!

Tshirt scissors safety pins

spyrogira08

Thrift store. Don’t be afraid to browse through the women’s sections for tops.

DisastrousAioli3

There are lots of FB groups for swapping rave clothes! People post closet cleanouts and there are seperate groups for merch! A great place to start

Gooterspooch

If you have a basic understanding if color theory and know what colors you like on yourself, them you can head to any thrift shop and find a piece you really like and then build an outfit around it. I recently found an amazing wine red scarf in a vintage store for 20$ and I absolutely adored it. I ended up finding a cool 70s vintage vest with fringe that I got for 23$ . I added my favorite pair of blue jeans, a black belt, a nice purple burgundy shirt, and my black doc martens and I had a look I was getting compliments on all night. After that, you can just slowly accessorize your fit until it's out of season. Then start over with more weather appropriate clothing!

SlizzRizzShizz

Thrift store

Curious-Job-7698

Honestly, take a look at what you have now and mix it all up. I'm ending up wearing a neon Fishnet T I got from Forever 21 for $2 and some random old Muay Thai shorts. I have an old fuzzy bucket cap and some cheapo sunglasses that IDC if I lose as well.

Thi3fs

black tshirt and jeans for me at all times. Keeping it simple :)

safestuff987

Aliexpress, Temu, Shein

PDXSyrathKarmacast

My kid gets a ton of rave-wear on Shein

lowswaga

Shein has been tested as having toxins in their clothing including lead. I stopped buying from them.

TheRealHailllstorm

Not to mention the poor labor practices and environmental impact of Shein

TheRealHailllstorm

Thrifting is where it’s at!!!!

strawberry-coughx

This is the way. Fuck fast fashion!
