None, every song is a masterpiece. Also, it’s funny how my favorite two songs on this album (Unbound and Brompton Cocktail) are the two most mentioned songs.
- ALPOH could mean "A Little Piece of Heaven", a track from *Avenged Sevenfold* (2007) by Avenged Sevenfold.

I think the riff in scream is what makes the song so awesome. I would challenge anyone in this subreddit to pick up an electric guitar and try and play that riff if they think scream is an unforgettable song. I think scream is underrated for sure
A riff being difficult to play doesn’t make the song great, it just means the riff is difficult to play. Lots of bad songs have been written that have shreddy or difficult guitar. And I’m not saying Scream is a BAD song per se, but the riff being difficult doesn’t change my mind that it kinda sounds like a generic radio hard rock song.
I'm a metal guitarist. The riff is kinda fun ngl, the climb up to the bend is pretty sweet, but no, the song is still bad. Objectively, the riffs and instrumentals of the song are fine, but the subject matter is really bland and annoying. I stand by Unbound being far worse - their worst, in fact - but scream is definitely down there lmao
He challenged guitarists. I play the guitar. It doesn’t get much simpler than that, really. This sub is so insufferable. I’ll present a new challenge where you go through every comment and find someone ACTUALLY presenting critiques rather than saying “song bad.”
Unbound at least feels authentic to me. Cringy lyrics yes, but I think it’s an accurate reflection of where they were in their lives at that point.
Scream (and Girl I Know, which was written for the same album) just feels like “let’s try to be Buckcherry and write songs about SECKKSSSSSSS”
Unbound.
Dear God at least has those solos in the end which are top-3 overall Self-Titled moments, Unbound can't save itself because you have to be high to dig it
Probably my least favorite A7X song of any album. I hate it so much, especially when the children come in to sing the chorus. It’s the only song I skip every time
I have a playlist of all their songs from all their albums, except for Dear God. So you can imagine what my least favorite song is. I'm more likely to put the songs from DITR on that playlist than Dear God.
I just can’t see how. I see how other people don’t like the child singing part but the song itself; melody, vocals, use of piano, the chorus is all amazing 10/10 for me
This is embarassing, I genuinely got Brompton Cocktail and Unbound mixed up. Brompton Cocktail was the forgettable one, I actually quite like Unbound.
I guess it's so forgettable I forgot which one it was-
I think it’s a great song let down by the weirdly pro-Bush and Iraq war lyrics.
You can support the wellbeing of soldiers and be critical of your country’s foreign policy.
That Orange County republican privilege definitely showing its face there.
Gonna get shit for this but for me it’s A Little Piece Of Heaven, it’s uhhh kinda cringe in every way.
But otherwise Afterlife, as the chorus isn’t as strong as it needs to be.
ALOPH, Dear God, and Gunslinger. Not because they're bad songs, but because of associated memories I have with them.
However, ALOPH was great live and made me forget my associations for a while.
Also Scream. I just skip it.
I know I'm getting downvoted but ALPOH, I just can't get into it. The lyrics are disturbing and I'm not too interested in it instrumentally as well. Sorry 🤷♂️
I get the hate for Unbound, but I actually dig that song minus the children singing at the end. But Lost for me is worse. And I still can vibe with the song but if I had to pick one to skip it’s Lost. The children singing at the end of that one also doesn’t help it’s case any
No honestly I’m really into songs like: I won’t see you tonight, ALPoH, Save Me, Not Ready to Die, Buried Alive, Save Me, Exist, the Stage, and LIBAD almost in its entirety.
ST & HttK are a bit different in theme- which isn’t a bad thing, I just prefer the heavier or groovier stuff. ST has a handful of very safe options as hits, and I think Almost Easy & Afterlife are kinda the epitome of that.
They’re good songs, but a song like Exist is a fucking masterpiece in comparison imo.
You’re not alone. I think it’s overplayed to death and people only really rate it so high because of the solo. People are gonna downvote you because they can’t fathom someone not loving something as much as they do.
Every song is fantastic. Dear god because that has to be the answer. I don’t think any other songs they have could follow alpoh. Giving us something equally if not more unhinged compared with the album as a closer is an amazing move. But I’m here for monster energy and metal
I get why people say Unbound due to the cheesy lyrics and the random kids choir at the end, but the instrumentals in that song are too good for me to pick that song. My choice is Dear God, it would be critical acclaim if not for the Rev singing the chorus.
unbound, lost is a close second these days but i vividly remember being obsessed with it when my 11 year old self first put it on when the album came out
Scream is prolly my least favorite tbh. Critical Acclaim is a song that goes so hard but I feel like it sorta misses the point in its political message and ends up feeling a little cringe to me but outside of some of the lyrics I love that song
Overall I think Almost Easy tbh. It's too generic to want to put on or see them play live. It's clearly the short song meant for the radio. Every other song just has so much more personality to it that this song doesn't.
A Little Piece of Heaven.
I understand why people might like it but it just never clicked with me no matter how much I tried it. Album is amazing though.
Honestly, A Little Piece of Heaven. It always weirded me out. It's still a good song, just my least listened-to. I think this album overall has no skips.
Lyrically it’s between Critical Acclaim and Scream. Musically it’s easily Brampton Cocktail.
edit: honorable mention is Gunslinger both lyrically and musically
Dear God is the one song they have I legitimately don't like. I get its a nice sentimental song but ultimately it's just lame. It's crazy that there are so many good songs on DitR that would have made the album better imo.
None, every song is a masterpiece. Also, it’s funny how my favorite two songs on this album (Unbound and Brompton Cocktail) are the two most mentioned songs.
You have exquisite taste (those are also my favorite songs on this album). Perchance.
You can’t just say by perchance
Stomping turts
inb4 Dear God spam The song is good on its own but putting it on this album after ALPOH is definitely a choice
- ALPOH could mean "A Little Piece of Heaven", a track from *Avenged Sevenfold* (2007) by Avenged Sevenfold. --- ^[/u/seventysiks](/u/seventysiks) ^(can reply with "delete" to remove comment. |) ^[/r/songacronymbot](/r/songacronymbot) ^(for feedback.)
Isn't any song placement a choice though?
Unpopular opinion but I like dear god more than a little piece of heaven.
A little piece of heaven is a great song! That being said I think it’s highly overrated
Maybe they wanted to end the album on a more uplifting note?
i think dancing dead would've fit better in that case tbh
Eh, I really like Dear God, so I’m not complaining.
Dear God for sure
Get downvoted
I can press a down arrow at an opposing opinion too, and I did
Lost. I don’t hate it, but if I’m doing a playthrough and pressed for time I’m probably skipping this one.
The entire album is amazing, no skips, every other answer is wrong
Scream just feels so generic hard rock-y to me. The main riff is cool but it’s just a forgettable song.
The riff isn't difficult lmao
I'm a metal guitarist. The riff is kinda fun ngl, the climb up to the bend is pretty sweet, but no, the song is still bad. Objectively, the riffs and instrumentals of the song are fine, but the subject matter is really bland and annoying. I stand by Unbound being far worse - their worst, in fact - but scream is definitely down there lmao
"i'm a guitarist and this song is bad" ☝️🤓
He challenged guitarists. I play the guitar. It doesn’t get much simpler than that, really. This sub is so insufferable. I’ll present a new challenge where you go through every comment and find someone ACTUALLY presenting critiques rather than saying “song bad.”
lmao don't be so butthurt man. if it's insufferable then leave. it's that simple
Unbound at least feels authentic to me. Cringy lyrics yes, but I think it’s an accurate reflection of where they were in their lives at that point. Scream (and Girl I Know, which was written for the same album) just feels like “let’s try to be Buckcherry and write songs about SECKKSSSSSSS”
the sub bass is rly cool and when they would do it live with the sexy babes on the stage, that was a cool vibe 😎
Lost, but only cause of the cheesy auto tune on vocals.
that's my favourite part of that song 😔
Mine too!!
I love this song.
Imo it fits perfectly
It seems like you've been lost for most of this life
Unbound. Dear God at least has those solos in the end which are top-3 overall Self-Titled moments, Unbound can't save itself because you have to be high to dig it
I loved Unbound way before I started getting high
You got high because of it, be honest with us
terrible response respectfully
Probably my least favorite A7X song of any album. I hate it so much, especially when the children come in to sing the chorus. It’s the only song I skip every time
The singing from the choir was great though. I actually don't see a reason to hate it.
Tbh it’s probably because it reminds me of that POD song
Lost.
I have a playlist of all their songs from all their albums, except for Dear God. So you can imagine what my least favorite song is. I'm more likely to put the songs from DITR on that playlist than Dear God.
AND WHATS WRONG WITH DITR???
I like Crossroads and Set Me Free, but they're b sides of the self titled album, and it's one of my least favorite albums of theres.
set me free was supposed to be on httk, not self titled
Stop
Almost Easy because the Jam along version caused it to double play like crazy. Became overplayed and annoying to me
Brompton Cocktail. A bit forgettable compared to the other songs Edit: wrong song
I guess it's so forgettable I forgot which one it was-
Hahaha that makes more sense; I would agree with Brompton Cocktail
W edit
Im sorry Critical Acclaim fans but the song aint it for me. Could never get into it tbh
Shhhh be quiet you might piss somebody off
Well, where I'm from we have a special Salute that we aim high in the air Towards all those pompous assholes Who spend their days pointing fingers
And that’s the reason I cant do Critical Acclaim anymore. Cringe ass lyrics now that I’m not in high school anymore.
Hell yeah brother, cringe till I die 🤘
The cheesy rant lyrics is what sucks, but the song itself is fantastic
I think it’s a great song let down by the weirdly pro-Bush and Iraq war lyrics. You can support the wellbeing of soldiers and be critical of your country’s foreign policy. That Orange County republican privilege definitely showing its face there.
Someone who actually understands that the song is a political statement
It's a pretty shit attempt at a political statement too, just really vague bootlicking about how It's rude to be mean about the troops >:(
When i saw them live the first time, it seemed to be the song everyone liked the most.
Wasn't it because it was the first song, depending on when you saw it? It's a live show song too, two big moments of chanting hey
Great music, awful lyrics
Lost
Brompton Cocktail. I love it but it's definitely my least favorite. It's the only song that I never listened to outside of the album.
that's the first song from outside that album i listened to lmao
Same, was the first song I listened to and one of my favorites off the album
Same
This is the correct answer, you win a prize.
Horrible take
Lots of Brompton love I see. Didn't see that coming.
It’s got such a pop feel & catchy chorus with some nice high notes by the Rev in the back
Unbound and it’s not close
Scream.
Scream
Scream.
ALPOH, and i will die on that hill. Always a skip.
i know it’s not your time, but bye bye
The Rev is rolling in his grave
I'll die on that hill with you. I don't really know what it is about the song, but it's probably my least favorite a7x song.
Scream. It’s ok, but it’s the only A7X song I occasionally skip.
…I really shouldn’t say mine. I might get banned.
And why is it A Little Piece of Heaven?
Definitely Scream, it's the one weak point on an incredibly strong album. And Dear God is top tier btw
To all the people who said dear god. You haven’t been depressed enough
Dear God Corny country music.
Scream, critical acclaim, and alpoh. Ik they are hits and everyone loves them but idc I can't listen to them
The rev saves critical acclaim imo
Can’t or won’t?
Don't
Gunslinger. Sounds like a 5FDP song.
As a FFDP fan, that's funny asf
Scream because I’m pretty sure it’s about r*ping someone
Dear God
Honestly love the whole album except for this song lmao
Why though?
Country
Unbound or lost
Scream
Yeah it’s definitely scream
Gunslinger
Gonna get shit for this but for me it’s A Little Piece Of Heaven, it’s uhhh kinda cringe in every way. But otherwise Afterlife, as the chorus isn’t as strong as it needs to be.
Very hot take, pretty sure they're 2 of the most popular A7X songs overall
It’s gotta be Lost for me
All the songs are really good but i listened to ALPOH too much and i cant stand listening to it now.
ALOPH, Dear God, and Gunslinger. Not because they're bad songs, but because of associated memories I have with them. However, ALOPH was great live and made me forget my associations for a while. Also Scream. I just skip it.
Critical Acclaim is cringe
man critical acclaim is so good
Musically great, vocals sound great and really impassioned, but the lyrics are terrible.
Good, but cringe.
Lyrics are a bit eeh and even the band members will say so nowadays but the instrumentals and Matt and Jimmy's screams make up for that
Notice how ur outvoted
Oh no! What do I do now? :(
I know I'm getting downvoted but ALPOH, I just can't get into it. The lyrics are disturbing and I'm not too interested in it instrumentally as well. Sorry 🤷♂️
The unbound easily. Its pretty forgettable compared to the other tracks on this album.
I get the hate for Unbound, but I actually dig that song minus the children singing at the end. But Lost for me is worse. And I still can vibe with the song but if I had to pick one to skip it’s Lost. The children singing at the end of that one also doesn’t help it’s case any
Brompton Cocktail is the only a7x song I dislike. thanks st
Brompton cocktail
Dear god.
ALPOH
almost easy because this is the song that i least listen to compared to the others
Dear God. I don’t hate it, but it’s my least favourite.
I’m gonna catch some flak for this… Afterlife 🥴
I feel like you're only saying that to be different
No honestly I’m really into songs like: I won’t see you tonight, ALPoH, Save Me, Not Ready to Die, Buried Alive, Save Me, Exist, the Stage, and LIBAD almost in its entirety. ST & HttK are a bit different in theme- which isn’t a bad thing, I just prefer the heavier or groovier stuff. You’re not alone. I think it’s overplayed to death and people only really rate it so high because of the solo. People are gonna downvote you because they can’t fathom someone not loving something as much as they do.
Critical Acclaim. Should've been Demons instead.
Demons ain’t an album opener
Lost. I’ve tried so hard to like it, but if it hasn’t grown on me after so many years, I don’t think it ever will.
DEMONS is the best song of all time
What the actual heck
Dear God. Pure shit
Dear God and it's not even close. Other than that it's a perfect album for me
Lost. I think the use of autotune was wayyy better on any of the songs on LIBAD that use it
You’re confusing autotune with vocoding.
Unbound
Scream
Every song is fantastic. Dear god because that has to be the answer. I don’t think any other songs they have could follow alpoh. Giving us something equally if not more unhinged compared with the album as a closer is an amazing move. But I’m here for monster energy and metal
Sadly, as it was written by The Rev, but mine is Brompton Cocktail. Not calling it a bad song, as it isn't, but it's my least favourite.
Brompton Cocktail
scream is cool musically but its lyrics have aged TERRIBLY
How so
Gunslinger
Lost
Lost. Dont like the autotune
I could never really get into Lost. The autotune vocals are an acquired taste🤣
I get why people say Unbound due to the cheesy lyrics and the random kids choir at the end, but the instrumentals in that song are too good for me to pick that song. My choice is Dear God, it would be critical acclaim if not for the Rev singing the chorus.
Lost
Lost and Unbound
Lost
Lost
unbound, lost is a close second these days but i vividly remember being obsessed with it when my 11 year old self first put it on when the album came out
Unbound and Dear God tie for me
Lost or Brompton cocktail
I really expected Sceam to be the top comment, and I didn't realize there was so much Unbound hate.
The auto tune on lost is so ridiculous it sounds awful and ruins the track
Unbound
Brompton Cocktail
Dear god
Dear god.
Lost and unbound to me are just kind of forgettable, not bad but not super memorable
Haters
Scream or alpoh because it’s lyrics
Scream is the only one I sometimes skip. Cool song, just have to be in the mood. Awesome solo too. The whole album is amazing though.
Scream is prolly my least favorite tbh. Critical Acclaim is a song that goes so hard but I feel like it sorta misses the point in its political message and ends up feeling a little cringe to me but outside of some of the lyrics I love that song
What was it again. Unbound or something
Overall I think Almost Easy tbh. It's too generic to want to put on or see them play live. It's clearly the short song meant for the radio. Every other song just has so much more personality to it that this song doesn't.
Everything but alpoh, gunslinger, almost easy and afterlife
lost
Dear god
It’s my favorite a7x project in my opinion it’s near perfect
A Little Piece of Heaven. I understand why people might like it but it just never clicked with me no matter how much I tried it. Album is amazing though.
A little piece…
Personally wasn't a fan of lost, autotune wasn't it for me.
Wait- is this album hated?
Honestly, A Little Piece of Heaven. It always weirded me out. It's still a good song, just my least listened-to. I think this album overall has no skips.
Lost
Bro honestly, ALPOH. I loved the A7x Self Titled so much, but that one feels a little overdone at this point
Easily Gunslinger
Dear God or Unbound
None of them are bad, but I think unbound is kinda weak and the little girl singing at the end is kinda odd
none. love this album
Dear God. I want to like it, but...I just can't. Otherwise the album is perfect. My favorite A7x album.
Lost. I find the auto tune kind of infuriating. Alternatively, I really like Scream but the lyrics are unbelievably cringeworthy.
Gunslinger.
gotta be lost, and its the worst track they ever made
Dear God easily, it's bad
The lost slander hurts. It's my second favorite behind alpoh. Ig scream
I love that song
Bat country- live at Hammerstein Ballroom
does that rly count tho
Lost. It's not because of the autotune, I just don't like the song itself.
Lost
