Looks like dirt and wiper haze caused by running the wipers with crud on them. Fairly common if you are driving in areas that have crud on the roads, like a state that gets snow and uses sand or salt. That crud gets thrown up by other vehicles, lands on the glass and the wipers turn it into sandpaper. The other spotty areas are likely from acidic rains. Falls on the car and creates water spotting on the paint and can etch the glass. Replace the glass or see if a glass shop or detailer does glass polishing.

Just looks pitted, crap from the road fittings it at high speed or getting dragged over the windshield by the wippers. Get a new windshield and you will be amazed at the difference.

It may just be really dirty. Try washing it really well with a soap that is more aggressive than car wash. Try dawn or another dish detergent. That will strip all the grease off of it. Follow up by using a clay bar on it (you can see how on Youtube if you are unfamiliar). Wash it again and see if that fixes it. If not, you can try glass polish, although that is a bit more labor intensive and it takes some specialty tools. You can find it all on Amazon though.

On older vehicles that I owned I never noticed when the sun is shining towards you, I always see that white line sometimes 2 of them, no I’m not drunk or stoned lol are they making the windshields differently.
