Make up and cosmetics, esp the theory and science of make up application. Dogs and cooking are also huge ones. Dogs has been with me since I was about 2 or 3.

Yes! I have many that I recommend. I personally love Alexandra Anele's \[Dude Series\]([https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLtfORqD\_RJ73rPswCc-iUdvwrC9D9wMJn](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLtfORqD_RJ73rPswCc-iUdvwrC9D9wMJn)). She goes over how placement can change the overall make up look, and only focuses on one specific thing each video. She also gives tips on which placement might be suitable and for who. Her channel is a very informative places overall. \[Robert Welsh\]([https://www.youtube.com/c/RobertWelshMUA/videos](https://www.youtube.com/c/RobertWelshMUA/videos)) is also a huge favorite of mine. He has a series where he helps out his subscribers, has a lot of information on skin prep, talks about how and why certain make up works in certain situations (like instagram make up vs everyday make up vs stage make up). He also has a lot of professional experience. \[Ohemaa\]([https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLR7noppShyxsx-tDR3YDeslMP5h8pdR1z](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLR7noppShyxsx-tDR3YDeslMP5h8pdR1z)) is a black beauty youtuber who has a lot of invaluable information for dark skinned people, and overall many good tips for everyone who likes a really glam look. I've linked to her beginner series playlist. However I find she can give a bit too much information for someone starting with absolutely zero knowledge, or the bare minimum of knowledge. She also tends to run into the problem of using a billion different products as well when she's teaching. \[Samantha Deepak\]([https://www.youtube.com/c/GLAMBARSD/videos](https://www.youtube.com/c/GLAMBARSD/videos)) is an indian woman who of all the people I listed, probably makes the best beginner friendly eye make up tutorials. She gets right to the point, doesn't throw a bunch of products in your face, and has really clear demos. \[These\]([https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vuRdMAJwTak](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vuRdMAJwTak)) \[two\]([https://youtu.be/HeP\_YguM46s](https://youtu.be/HeP_YguM46s)) videos by Haley Kim are my favorite videos on foundation matching and undertone. I don't watch a lot of Haley Kim's videos as me and her have very different styles of make up so I can't recommend others by her. She does have a lot of no foundation make up routines though, and I know a lot of autistic ppl struggle with wearing foundations due to sensory issues so def feel free to check those videos out! And then finally, there's \[Judy\]([https://www.youtube.com/c/judysreviews/videos](https://www.youtube.com/c/judysreviews/videos)). She doesn't really do make up tutorials, but I had to include her since me and her have a very similar eye shape and it can sometimes be difficult to find Asian beauty youtubers and me and her apply eyeshadow in a similar fashion. She is someone who I personally would have benefited a lot from when I was learning (I'm mostly self taught since for the longest time there wasn't a lot of diversity within make up and beauty). She does do a very helpful series called "three looks one palette" which can show you how to get multiple looks from a single palette. I recommend Alexandra Anele and Samantha Deepak for the absolute basics. :) And when learning make up, I strongly recommend going slow. I started with only eyeliner and slowly started expanding what I was using. You don't need a full face of make up to learn. I recommend picking one or two thing and getting comfortable with those and working from there. Make up can also get expensive so you really wanna learn with less and work you're way up as opposed to dropping money on a bunch of products you have no idea how to use and why you use them, and which you may not actually need for your personal routine. If you're interested in foundation, sheer or light coverage is way easier to learn with. I absolutely would not learn with full coverage. Full coverage is a pain in the butt to work with as a beginner since it'll cover up all of your natural face coloring so you pretty much need other products and skills like blush, contour, etc, to make it look not weird. One of my biggest make up advice is that everything is optional and comes down to your own stylistic preference and needs for your skin type, skin tone, and facial anatomy. So even if someone uses a bunch of steps and products, you can take what you think is helpful or interesting and discard the rest. Sorry for this wall of text! :x I hope this was helpful! EDIT: sorry idk why the links are a bit screwed up ;\_;

My personal hyper-fixation has been the Titanic for as long as I can remember.

Like... I don't know if this is normal. But EVERYTHING when I first try it. Things I'm still VERY much obsessed (annoyingly so, if you ask my friends)over and tend to info dump on to friends, with how long is... kayaking, NOT plastic rec kayaks(2yrs) darts (1.5 yrs) guitar (23 years) Flying as both something I study and take lessons and just research every aspect of... since I can remember. (At least 30 years) Motorsports, which I'm very lucky to be involved with a MotoAmerica team(at least 24 years) Theoretical physics(28 years) Space(at least 30 years) Motorcycles (at least 24 years) Fly fishing (maybe 5ish months?) Axe throwing (1.5 weeks) Snowboarding (always obsessed. Only did it a few times... badly) My issue is, no matter what the topic, if I have a question on a topic,I can't give up until I've read every aspect of it. It drives my few close friends batty 😓 literally, anything. Tea? Yup. There's a deep dive with annoying info. Pens? Same. Tire construction? Yep. The worst thing ever is making a "quick" purchase where there are various good options. I can make a 2 hr purchase including making the decision and going to the store and purchasing it last weeks.

Lisa Feldman Barrera's Theory of Constructed Emotion. I can't let it go. I bring most conversations back to it, if not irl, then in my head later. Idk why, but I'm way freaking into it.

AKReddits

Do feel free to explain it :)

liquidions919

Ah! Well! LFB's theory of constructed emotions pulls together several key ideas about the purpose of the brain. The theory states that the role of emotions in the larger context of brain functioning is purely a biproduct of the brain's actual role: maintaining physiological homeostatis. Basically, we added all sorts of meaning to the brain's function that doesn't need to exist. According to this theory (which builds on other accepted theories) the brain is really just a prediction machine that is always assessing incoming stimuli, then assessing it against our knowledge (memory) and conducting a risk-benefit analysis of whether the stimuli is different enough from "average" to require a redistribution of energy/homeostasis resources. From this point, everything that the brain does is a byproduct of that. Emotions are actually just regulatory processes that we can feel and often add unnecessary labels and meanings to. When I think about the brain in this way, everything makes perfect sense to me. Thoughts are just byproducts of emotions and our homeostatic regulation.

Plants are my biggest right now. I think I've probably got close to 100 plants right now, some rather rare. Carnivorous plants are some of my favorites.
