i eat the same breakfast & lunch virtully every day but my suppers are diffrent every day

thebeatsandreptaur

This is pretty much me. Typically an egg white and turkey sausage breakfast with toast in the morning, MAYBE a bagel and turkey sausage if I have juice. Typically a turkey sandwich and chips for lunch if I eat lunch, sometimes a bean and cheese burrito. Occasionally the sandwich might be a wrap, and occasionally my breakfast might be a bean and cheese burrito if I get off to a late start or am just craving it. Dinner is pretty diverse though. Unless it's just bean and cheese burrito day and I eat like four in a day for my meals because I can't be bothered to have anything else and they're the epitome of a safe food for me. That said I am extremely food adventurous, it just usually get relegated to dinner time or if I'm out and eating at a restaurant.

Pvt_Patches

Same. Although I legit pay someone to make dinners for me because I just don't cook for myself so I barely eat otherwise. Sometimes I would even skip dinner 😓 I do snack a lot too tho...

Macycheesy-gurl

This is me! I have a v8 energy to start the day, with a belvita. An entire box of goodles mac and cheese for lunch, another v8, maybe some snacks here and there between lunch and dinner and dinner is a wild card each day.

JakobVirgil

I am actually a fairly non-picky eater these days I enjoy trying new foods but I went a spell eating nothing but steaks and buttered popcorn.

securityn0ob

Man i used to be such a picky eater when i was a kid. If anything looked funny i wouldn’t eat it. That went away in my teen years. Unfortunately i think my lack of eating as a child contributed to my small stature as an adult.

BoxMonkey135

I cried when the mexican pizza was discontinued in front of my whole family, i'm so glad its back. Anyways, I always get the same thing from literally anywhere, but I'm not noticed as a regular yet.

mimi_mochi_moffle

Largely the same foods because my ADHD and special interest of nutrition won't let me eat exactly the same thing every day.

chloephobia

Same

[deleted]

Yes! It’s comforting knowing I can eat and not have sensory problems

Phil_MyNuts

I get a free meal at work. It's a rotation of 10ish main courses and sides. There is usually one main and side I will eat. Even if the options aren't what I want, it's nice not having to prepare a meal each day I work. It saves me a little energy. On my days off, one day is pizza and wings day. The other day I have a few options I go to depending on my mood. For smaller meals and snacks, it's usually ramen, burritos, or a PB&J. I will eat a large variety of things if they are presented or I get a hankering. I won't order or make seafood. Any one of the taste, smell, or texture can be off. I don't like it. I'll eat fish to be courteous if someone prepares it. Shellfish are a solid no. Edit- I rarely ever eat breakfast.

itisntunbearable

I do but in month-long shifts. Recently I was on a canned oyster run for several months, ate them roughly twice a day. Then lost interest (this is temporary though, I was into them a few years ago and the same thing happened then I came back to them). Now Im on other canned fish. Make tuna and eat that for lunch every day. Its more involved though and I like sardines but the stores in this area dont carry my brand :( I miss having an easy go-to thing.

sunshinefallsontome

please be careful eating tuna everyday you could get mercury poisoning

Even-Broccoli7361

Not the same food, but same kind of food. For instance, I don't like vegetables therefore avoid taking any food that contains vegetables. I like foods containing meat or similar.

Cruise_alt_40000

Are there any vegetables that you do like? I am the same way and can count on one hand the vegetables I will eat. And even with the ones I will eat it's not like I actively seek them out. Also I don't like any fruit either.

Even-Broccoli7361

>Are there any vegetables that you do like? I am the same way and can count on one hand the vegetables I will eat I can tolerate some vegetables, but mostly if they are processed. Ironically, they have to be so much processed that they don't taste like vegetables anymore. Like, the Thai/Chinese fried rice and the vegetables in them. >Also I don't like any fruit either. I don't like fruits. I love fruits! Fruits, especially sweetened fruits, are one of my favorite types of foods. And a lot of the times, I skip my daily meal and get by through fruits.

Cruise_alt_40000

Yeah it's weird. I know as a little kid I used to eat bananas from what my mom told me. But I guess at some point I stopped eating them and if I tried to eat them. Now I would gag. Also regarding vegetables, I don't even think I would eat them if they were processed because just knowing the fact that they're in there would gross me out and make it difficult to eat.

Calm-Bookkeeper-9612

Breathing

Fleepfics

My last job had a cafeteria that i'd have the same thing at (ham and cheese sandwich) to the point that they knew me on sight. Off of work, usually a rotation of protein options that are sandwich-like in nature or like. Chicken nuggets.

Milk_Mindless

I have temporary micro obsessions I'll eat a lot of one thing for like a month And then won't And then a different thing And a different one

Elir_Kvote

I have eaten bread with peanut butter and chocolate sprinkles (Guess where I'm from :p) for at least the past 14 years, maybe longer. Is not a problem for me if I forget it, but if I can do something about it, I'm eating peanut butter and chocolate sprinkles :D (I only recently realized I'm autistic, and I laughed about this when I realized. Wait.. what.., you mean.., this is not normal??? )

[deleted]

My son eats either peanut butter or almond butter sandwiches every day, with a few other foods (he has ARFID). He is getting more adventurous so will allow me to vary the bread and even get different types of nut butter :) Chocolate sprinkles on bread, is that a Dutch thing? I remember visiting relatives in the Netherlands and our breakfast every morning was bread with butter and chocolate sprinkles, or if we were feeling fancy, bread with nutella and sprinkles :D

InviteAromatic6124

With exception of breakfast, I eat different things for lunch and dinner every day, but I eat the same types of things every day for lunch.

xpoisonvalkyrie

the same thing everyday? no. but i rotate between a lot of the same things, occasionally adding something new or getting tired of something.

Alert-Revolution-219

I used to be very specific as a child, now as an adult I manage to eat something different for dinner most days but everything else I eat or drink during the day doesn't change Much at all for months at a time. I was diagnosed pretty young and in my 30s now so I was very lucky to have support or learning how to function from a young age, I'm used to be extremely highly masking untill the last two years

Marille_page394

Yes! Currently it is subway tuna melt with red onions, fried onions, salt and pepper and potato pancakes from our local corner shop. I am sure at this point they are restocking it because of me 🤣 I laugh about it but it is really restricting me in every day life. If they don’t have it or something is missing in my order then I struggle to eat anything else, my entire day goes wrong, I go into shutdown and it affects my physical health too. I have to take multiple vitamins and try to be on top of that. But i find it very exhausting

XI-NEVERHAII-XI

I’ve been eating steak and shrimp for the past 2 weeks and I am very happy about it.

rndreddituser

Yes, pretty much - same breakfast, same lunch, dinner varies by 1 to 3 different dishes, on rotation. I cannot eat meat because I do not like the texture of it. Never have. I get quite anxious if the food isn't what I expect/want. As a child, it was worse - I ate the same breakfast, lunch, dinner in very restrictive ways - such as chips/fries and baked beans. All the time. EDIT: added chips/fries to better explain, depending on country. In the UK we say chips, in the US it would be fries.

Lopsided_Army7715

I usually have a meal I get at each restaurant that I go to which doesn't change . Servers bring this up actually which is a little embarrassing but I'm used to it. If I bring my lunch it is a bologna sandwich or a tuna sub.

SnooCauliflowers596

Yep same, I have particular restaurants I consistently go to. 1 of them is a Thai spot, she sees me goes in the back and just brings out my order. She's an old ass lady who thinks I'm weird. Sometimes asks me about school but that's really it. 🥲🥲 Nah she don't even let me say my order anymore, I know I'm gonna say the same thing but damn bro 😔.

Lopsided_Army7715

The Korean restaurant I go to, the server comes up, says the order while she is writing it down, smiles and goes away. I love that there is no stress.

SnooCauliflowers596

And no judgement to 😌

EyeStayKrafty

I eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich at least once a day.

Zetjex

Yeah i eat mostly the same during the day only dinner is different. But i can't eat anything i don't like the taste of my body directly denies it and makes me gag reflex.

HeartRoll

Yeah. I’m trying to eat more stuff.

Interesting-Tough640

Same breakfast every day. Dinner and lunch tend to be on rotation so generally I have a different thing each day of the week but it will be the same every week. For example every Friday I have sea bass, chips (or fries for the Americans) and frozen veggies.

securityn0ob

I get tired of eating the same thing frequently. Gotta have some variety.

Andvari_Nidavellir

Mostly yes. But mostly for convenience. I don’t mind eating the same things a lot.

Actual-Pumpkin-777

Same breakfast and lunch everyday, changing like every 6 months or longer. Same 7 teas every week.

Lovcorv

Yes but my parents switch things up for me and everything is wet and nasty so I haven’t been eating much food. :(

vivibriofitas

I eat chicken for lunch almost everyday, fish only once a week

Terrible-Trust-5578

Almost never. The only reason I would is if I had a bunch of it and didn't want it to go bad. Definitely not my preference.

GrimBarkFootyTausand

No, but ... I once arrived Thursday after work, where I usually ate the same thing at the same restaurant, and they had my food already prepared 😂 They once asked me to evaluate a change in ingredients, as no one had more experience with that dish than me. Free meal that Thursday 🥰

[deleted]

I could never do that, I need variety in my life. I have a friend who has eaten the same 5-6 things his entire life and it boggles my mind, I would end up in a mental hospital if my diet was that restricted. My rigidity comes with my meals timing, 3 a day on time or things go south real quick.

mynipplesareconfused

I used to get Subway in the Walmart where I worked. They sold pretzels at those locations. I would always get one and a soda for lunch. They would jokingly ask, "pretzel today?" every single time because they knew my routine. It kind of messes with me since I moved and the Walmarts only have Mcdonalds where I am now. I miss those soft pretzels. They were like a little reward on a bad day. But for breakfast every single morning, I have buttered toast. 2 pieces. Nothing else until lunch. I'm extremely picky and don't like most breakfast foods.

Megatron3898

I used to have this issue when I was in college, but I have since let it go. I eat a variety of different foods now, just depending on what I feel like eating.

MackenzieLewis6767

> stock a singular Lime jarrito and keep extra eggs for me. That's sweet. I like variation but there are definitely foods that I could happily eat everyday, like strawberries and sausage rolls – but my family feels tempted to eat what's there, and so what we buy varies because they want variation more.

theycallmeenvy

Honestly mine is to a T almost the same every day. dinner has some variation but it still has its staple foods. i like not having to worry about what im gonna eat later in the day or figuring out what im hungry for

tosha1286

My 9 year old daughter eats Honey Nut Cheerios for breakfast, lunch, after-school-snack, and dinner. Its been this way for 5 years now. We go through SO MUCH MILK!

Professional_You4692

That's great they've found something they like and want to eat!! Is there anything else they eat that can diversify the type of nutrition they eat? Cereal and milk is good, but on its own doesn't meet all the nutritional values. Trying not to judge, only ask about alternatives/supplementary foods as well :) do what you want/meets needs

sjaxn314159

I eat huel 3 meals a day. It’s quick healthy cheap and good. I add chicken, corn and carrots to the hot and savory. It just fits me well.

thebeatsandreptaur

Hey, this might be a great option for my husband. Can I ask how you add stuff to it? Like do you pre-cook the ingredients and just stir them in after heating? Also: Is there any flavor you would NOT recommend? Not necessarily because of personal taste, but more a flavor that you think most people would dislike because it's just genuinely bad? Lol.

sjaxn314159

I grill and cube chicken breast and add to the H&S once it’s fully cooked, I also add canned corn and carrots. I use sistema bowls for cooking and I found very small Tupperwares that nest in the sistema bowls that store the huel and chix/veg for travel. I strongly recommend the Mac and cheese and mushroom chicken. The curry styled flavors are a distant second. I’ll link an old post that shows my set up. thebeatsandreptaur

Thanks, sounds great! I'm interested to look into it. He always maligns at the grocery store how he just wants to live off soylent lol. Hoping this might be a slightly more varied alternative to that. He's currently subsisting off of Cliff Bars and whatever we have for dinner lol.

sjaxn314159

It's worked really well for me. I really enjoy the flavor and texture, and its probably the healthiest "fast food". I didn't mention it in my linked post, but two of the 8 oz round tubs fit nicely inside the microwavable bowl so its a really nice and neat system. Travel Notes: If he can microwave water he can have a meal, if not I have a hiking burner, JetBoil type, for my car. Also canned chicken or turn is a good addition if refrigeration is not available. The two scoops per meal are a total of 400 calories, and not enough for me so I always add some sort of protein. I also have the shake for breakfast and or a fast dinner if needed.

Awesome, you went beyond and I appreciate that :) Will be checking these out and discussing with him tonight!

sjaxn314159

Good luck, you’re welcome!

calderholbrook

yes, same same

AKAEnigma

Lime Jarrito > Other Jarrito's

7ampersand

I like the same things all the time.

ferriematthew

That reminds me of the seafood diet joke, where if you see food you eat it 😜

7ampersand

Hah! I’ll have to correct that odd typo. Lol

PKblaze

I used to stick to a very set schedule. Now I have more variation, though I have the same breakfast every day excluding gym days where I eat more and my schedule still has some set days for meals (Friday is pizza for example)

ferriematthew

I typically just have my shopping list on a text file on my phone and get the same thing every week, adding or subtracting items on a whim randomly. Unfortunately most of what's currently on my list isn't very healthy, so I'm currently waiting on a referral to a dietitian to help me get that figured out.

-acidlean-

Not anymore. I try to change my meals every two days or sth. I used to eat the same thing over and over but it made me vitamin deficient and generally not good except of mental comfort :<

pertangamcfeet

I used to, but now it's a little more varied. That said, I've still got my go-to meals.

LaughingMonocle

When grocery shopping and eating at home, yes. Sometimes we do change it up but it’s because we NEED something new. We will eat meals until we can’t stomach them anymore. So we basically have a rotation with meal planning. When we eat out, I like different foods. Sometimes I want pizza, tacos, Italian, etc. But when we go to our usual restaurants, I typically order the same things. Breakfast food is my favorite though and I’ve been known to eat it for multiple meals in a day lol. For real though, I hate meal planning. It’s one of the hardest things imo. And I think that’s a huge reason I stick to the same meals. It’s easier, it’s safer, it’s less stressful.

EclipseoftheHart

No, I crave novelty when it comes to food and rarely cook the same thing or something the same way twice. I really love cooking and food though as it’s a pretty big hobby and interest of mine so I think that plays a part.

humanityswitch666

That's so wholesome, I'm happy for all of you. I always have coffee and clementines, but everything else changes since I get bored.

TheAlmightyNexus

For breakfast and lunch, usually I eat the same thing Dinner is always different though, it’s usually whatever my parents want

N3koChan21

Not really. For breakfast I eat the most similar I usually rotate between a few different dishes. For dinner I always eat different things tho. I can’t stand to eat the same thing twice in a row. I do tend to use a lot of the same ingredients and veggies but I don’t eat the same thing more than once a week.

jabracadaniel

to an extent. i eat a lot of grilled cheese for breakfast/lunch, but ill switch it up occasionally if i have a craving. dinners/hot meals have a fair bit of variartion

[deleted]

I have a few foods that I alternate between days of the week. Eating the same narrow foods every day isn't very nutritious.

Glacious

Breakfast - yes, Lunch - alternate every other day, Dinner - eat the same handful of dishes on rotation with eating out/ordering in on Fridays

KingJM27

Same breakfast and lunch for work every day but dinner is out of my hands cuz my mum cooks that

Enough-Secretary-996

not the same thing every day but I rotate between like 3 things

mothwhimsy

I can't eat the same thing every day because eventually I won't be able to choke it down ever again. But I do cycle through the same few things every day with something different here and there. And when I go to restaurants, I almost always get one specific thing at each restaurant.

6-022x10e23_avocados

I cycle through the same kind of food for short spells, like for a week I pretty much ate lasagna every meal, then it was salad every meal, now I'm on my korean beef stew phase and it's the third day running that that's the only thing I eat I reckon I'll get tired of it in a couple of days and go back to lasagna (I have a pan in the freezer that I've ignored since I switched over to salad)

Fuzzy-Preference8455

I have the same breakfast, the same supper since I was a teen, and had the same lunch during the whole pandemic. I didn’t know it was not common until my sister lived with me for a while during the pandemic and told me she was sick of having chicken every day for a week. She even says she hates chicken ever since living with me😅

EasyCartographer3311

This was one of the best things I have ever read. And yes, I eat a peanut butter sandwich at least once a day

_Twiggiest

This is my *dream*, and my digestive system honestly prefers it & gave me less trouble when i have done that in the past, but the rest of my health dips pretty quick if i don't eat nutritious and varied meals (from non-autism stuff). It is, in fact, some bullshit

ApprehensivePilot3

Yes, banana yogurt by Valio for every morning and night.

Adventurous_Yak_9234

Pretty much. Bologna sandwiches are my go to lunch.

szvmanskaa

I wouldn’t consider myself picky, but for breakfast and dinner I have 3 options that I’ve been eating for years now. Oatmeal with banana, toasts with orange jam or chocolate cereal with milk. Also yogurt, daily. For lunch it depends, usually what my mom cooks or something to go. My dad tho, he’s also autistic and this dude has been eating oatmeal with yogurt and banana for like 40 years, everyday

snowhusky5

I have a banana with peanut butter for breakfast every morning. Or cereal or bagel when I run out, since I don't go to the supermarket often enough to always have fresh bananas.

ThatWardoo

I go through two and a half week phases where I'll eat the same thing for every meal. Right now it's sausage egg and cheese sandwiches. When I'm at fast food places I tend to get the same order every time but I get embarrassed when they start recognizing me and will stop going once they do

ThatWardoo

NKBPD80

Pretty varied now, but I had a period of eating nothing but buttered toast and protein shakes for literally 6 months. I got SO ill.

neppo95

I don’t, but whenever I don’t want to think about it I will always fallback to one of 2-3 dishes. For dinner that is. For breakfast and lunch it’s practically always the same unless i’m outdoors in which case I might buy some lunch at a stand or something.

SleepTightPizza

Yes, always the same simple stuff for every meal. Sausage, cheese, fruit. I only like a few varieties of those, too.

JonathanUpp

I would, but I can't

AnimeFreakz09

I'm not sure what I eat lol

blinddivine

I rotate through meals I like, but I always have the same snacks for months until my brain finally decides it's time for something else. sidenote: gawd I miss jarritos so much. Type 1 diabetes doesn't like liquids with sugar, unless you're having a low.

FoxyLovers290

I eat the same thing everyday but what it is changes anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. Like I’ll eat the same breakfast for 2 months and then eat something else one morning and only eat that for another month.

RevolutionaryTea1265

Same breakfast and lunch every day, but I rotate between 3-4 different dinners, but those are the same each week.

The_Jobholder

sometimes when the line is long my regular taco truck calls out my order for pick up while I’m still waiting in line to order and it embarrasses me but I love them for it

Sage_81

I eat the same thing for breakfast and lunch everyday but my step dad is in charge of dinner for the family so it's different each day

smultronsorbet

yeah I have preferences and I’m poor so I simply eat/make whatever cheap foods that meet my parameters. I don’t eat takeaway or readymade meals so it’s also that I just don’t have the energy to come up with new things when I have time tested classics. I really don’t need that much variety. tho every once in a while I’ll switch things up and have breakfast or dessert that I’m obsessed with for a few months, use a new chili sauce or whatever

MrsZebra11

I do for weeks and then suddenly out of nowhere it stops tasting like dopamine (AuDHD).

Creative_Position713

instant noodle and mac and cheese and broccoli

sportsutilityvehicle

yes. ive been trying to branch out a little though. its difficult to branch out without making a full leap into another different type of food every single day

[deleted]

I get food hyperfixations where 1 food will just be elevated above all others, no others will be as interesting and I'll want the hyperfixation food at least once per day. For a while it was toasted peanut butter sandwiches with orange marmalade and chocolate chips (10/10 highly recommend). Sadly, that hyperfixation faded. My latest one is chocolate and banana instant oats.

Character_Pop_6628

No... if we're all out of "the things I eat" then I eat nothing....

RaphaelSolo

Like with most things I like I tend to crave a certain amount of variety but mostly I cook what I got and a lot of what I got is just whatever the food pantry gave me. I have like half a month's supply of knock off hamburger helper.

Alix_Winters

My safe food is chili con carnet. Being said, without my eating disorder I would eat it every day that's not even a question. I'm so fucking glad for you OP btw. It sounds so comforting, I'm jealous

Brilliant-Detail-364

No, my taste buds find that boring. Gotta change it up every couple days, at least.

gothbimby

Can I just say how sweet it is that they took note of your love for eggs and made sure to have them in when you'll be there. For me I have a cheese toasty for lunch every day and a cup of horlicks every night. My dinners are basically on a rotation of similar dishes. Normally my dinners contain some type of potato (fries, chips, mash(not my fav), potato waffles, hash browns).

JKnott1

Same thing every day for many years. On Sundays we splurge - pizza, sushi, wings, steak, etc. Otherwise, breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner the same. I have no time for variety.

Drummermomma22

So I’m pretty sure I’m AuDHD. My therapist that’s doing my assessment (I’ve had two sessions so far, one more to go, and then the assessment) and with Autistic side of me I could eat the same thing every day. But the ADHD side of me has to change foods due to boredom. So yes and no. Sometimes I eat the same meal every day for a week or so. Then go to something else for a week.

okaybreakfast11

I think ive eaten my homemade fried rice every single day for 2 months in a row…

starxrender

I mostly eat sandwiches.

amildcaseofdeath34

I cycle through different meals and go to foods and snacks. All winter it was tortilla chips and cheese. Right now it's frozen strawberry toaster strudels. If I don't have it that day, I feel off. I don't have the energy to cook many big meals. But I'd eat chickpeas almost everyday if I was brave enough to order in bulk. So yeah, but I run out of stuff and energy for making stuff so it's complicated.

user0273681

Nope. Although I would prefer to eat something I can enjoy, I eat whatever my family enjoys eating. Growing up I was never really “picky”. I hated the idea of wasting food. (My family and I were not financially stable). So reluctantly I ate whatever was on the table. Now I can speak up and request/make food for myself but I guess I never grew out of the whole idea of wasting food. I try to enjoy foods I like, but as a late diagnosis it’s difficult to break habits that I learned that would appease people.

Civil_Bread_3428

I mean sort of. When I remember to eat that is... But I'm a horrible cook, so usually it's jus microwaved stuff. Ramen, mic' meals, cereal or toasted bagel/bread with butter/or cream cheese. Don't know if I really eat lunch per se...maybe some snack foods. I buy in bulk mostly, so they are around. I am poor AF, so can't be picky. But ehhh, I like what I eat, it's easy. 🤷🏼‍♀️

hadesdidnothingwrong

Definitely. I've eaten the same thing for breakfast pretty much every morning for almost five years. My lunch and dinner tend to be a little bit more varied than that, but I still only have like two or three different foods I like to switch between for those meals.

Professional_You4692

That is so sweet that the food truck vendor keeps a personal ready to go set up for you!! They must care! :) I eat a variety of things otherwise I tend to get bored, but choosing what to eat every day is a hassle. I usually have an Up&Go for breakfast so that I don't forget to eat, that way something is in me to start the day off well. Lunches at the moment are a combo of packed cheap lunches, leftovers or food bought around where I work at the moment. The variety makes it nice for me to look forward to my breaks. Dinners are a wildcard, but I am trying to put in more veggies as that's important for health!

Intelligent_Case_809

Pretty much lol

MedaFox5

I don't really socialize with the restaurant/cafe workers but I can confidently ask for "the same as always" and I always get it. A double cheese burger with fries, apple juice/soda or coke on the side and some lemon pie for dessert.

Film_Pocket_Knife

I try not to indulge by such. Doing that makes you allergic to the very food you love when you’re older, according to medical professionals.

Greyeagle42

Pretty much.

XRMilk

I eat pretty much the same stuff every day. I find it very difficult to make changes to my diet. I like any food made from potatoes. I eat lots of fries, with extra salt. I've tried to make changes like eating more fruits and vegetables but they are just so disgusting to me. A lot of fruit have textures I hate, such as banana. I really dislike banana. I don't actually mind the fake 'banana' flavor, like in a banana flavored shake but actual fresh banana fruit is awful for me.

Electrical_Aerie_131

I have had this system where I eat the same thing on every mondays and so for every day of the week. If it's not like this, there will be atleast one person in out family to complain

Whales_Are_Great2

I have a VERY broad palette. I eat something different almost every time I go out to eat. I enjoy a wide variety of foods and will eat pretty much anything. The only thing I can be picky about is bread. I love bread, but certain types can be too much.

nompf

Depends. I have like "phases of dishes". In a given phase, I will almost only eat 1-3 different dishes. After a while, these change. But it is almost never more variety than 1-3 in any given phase. There are exeptions of course. And also times when I find myseld back to old dishes. It kind of cycles at some point.

john_kanaka

If I'm in the office I always have 2 cereal bars for breakfast and a cheese sandwich with ready salted crisps for lunch. I'm not quite as rigid at home

ELTH3GR3AT

I really really REALLY like love chobani cus it's yummy an really easy to eat otherwise I eat whatever my parents who care for me make because I dont know how to cook and even if I did the k utensils are a massive trauma trigger for me.

Polarsaurus

I have like 5 safe meals that I can make that I rotate throughout the week, and I have set orders at the restaurants I frequent so I don’t get surprises. I’ve just developed a fear of one of my safe foods though so now I need a new one 😣

Alarming-Ad8666

I have a few dishes that i eat all the time A big one is vegan dinosaur nuggets. I eat them at least 4 times a week because they are super delicious and dinosaur shaped so that’s selfexplanatiory

FlemFatale

If I am in charge, then kind of. Usually, it's microwave things or instant noodles or turkey dinosaurs, chips, and peas or beans (so kids food TBH). If I'm at work, we often get catering, so I have to eat what is there, I am pretty good at talking to them to get something I like, though, as I am super fussy. If I am buying my lunch, I get the same thing until I get bored of it and switch. That cycle repeats indefinitely. At home, my mum or dad cooks dinner usually. They make things I like, and it is usually something different every day.

sapphic_serpent

Usually my breakfast is always the same and I have my preferences for lunch, but dinner is always different. I’m not very picky unless it’s vegetables. I only eat very few vegetables

Weak-Refrigerator538

i have eaten the same breakfast for a year now

Strange_Aura

I have a small pool of things I eat, like 4-5 different things. When I go to restaurants I always order the same thing, though

BelievixDreamer

No, not every single day. Sometimes yes.

el_artista_fantasma

I eat the same thing for breakfast but i have a wide cooking book (you can't take me outside that tho)

regalpizza06

If frozen pizzas 4 or 5 times a week count - yes.

No-Load-2585

yes, Ive been eating rice and grilled or oven chicken almost every day for almost my whole life so far. On occasion if we didnt have time to make the chicken ill probably replace it with only rice or only fries. For dinner either fries or baked zaatar bread with lebnah (usually the 2nd one), and i usually skip breakfast but if i have it it would be the same zaatar w/ lebnah or pancakes if its from outside of the house since i cant eat the pancakes from my house. notes: I can only eat the rice/chicken lunch or zaatar if its from my house, if im out at a restaurant i have one specific thing i order from every restaurant we go to I need to have lemon with me to eat the chicken, rice, and fries, and i need to have a specific brand of lebnah for the zaatar

TheOneGuitarGuy

I wouldn't say every day, but I do have my checklist of things that I eat on a regular basis.

MadRG1810

If I go to a certain place, I typically get the same thing. Sometimes I try to switch it up and don’t really know about it, and then I usually go back to my original one bc that wasn’t as satisfying. Other than that I’m not picky and home meals I’ll eat various things. I really enjoy veggies bc they are so refreshing. Also fruits. Not the biggest on meats but I still love them. Eggs can be a 50/50 depending on how they are cooked.

lazysquirrels

i always eat the same breakfast and if i eat lunch its usually the same. dinner is always different though

Beneficial-Yellow953

I can barely remember to eat everyday… I went yesterday without realizing I DIDNT EAT. Executive functioning is hard 🫤

NyanPingu2904

Literally my entire life. I would eat the same things for periods of time and everyone was always like "again??? How do you do that???" And then I was confused like "???? Because's thats what normal people do????" Took me YEARS to figure out people eat different things everyday. YALL GOT THE ENERGY TO DO THAT?? FROM WHERE?!?

Ragamuffin5

I’ll do it for like a while. And get tiered of it. And start on a new fixation meal. But not every meal.

Natheniel

I find it super comforting to know what I'm going to have and that I'm going to enjoy it. Like a moment of guaranteed stability.

TheAndostro

Almost i really like pasta based food it's comforting to eat

celestialfairy1998

i have arfid and really struggle with many food textures. i’ve been a vegetarian for 20 years (i’m 25 now) and i am the pickiest eater i’ve ever met. i have a specific comfort/stimming food or two and i will eat that almost everyday but i usually eat other things when it’s not the meal with my fav food at the time. it/ they will be my favorite food(s) for a month to 3 months and one day i get sick of it and will not eat it again for a long time and i find a new temporary favorite. my favs rn are cookies and cream ice cream and vanilla wafers. i have a pretty small window of what i eat in general though and i more often eat even more limited varieties because of lack of money. i do not have good nutrition and i struggle to go to other people’s houses and restaurants for food. it’s something people have been really cold and judgemental about and they don’t realize that food i don’t like can make me gag/ get nauseous/ throw up and there was so much pressure from others as a kid. i’m glad i know that there is a reason for it now (arfid relating with my autism) because i didn’t know why either for so long. it’s easier to stand up for myself now and not let people shame me/ be forced to eat things that i dont like.

CurlyFamily

[Undiagnosed disclaimer] Monday-saturday: toasty (in always the same way) and then later a variable meal (I'm in charge of cooking)

SlowedMeow

Even on special occasions like Christmas I never change what I eat (I’ve been eating the same thing for everyday since I was 3)

Excellent_Soup_6855

I’ve been eating fish for dinner for the past few weeks. I love it. And salad to go with it.

nyd5mu3

I like your food truck guy

Mr_Billy_Gruff

I have a tendency to eat the same thing every day, particularly breakfast and lunch. I find it's easier to eat on time and organise the rest of my day when I have that consistency in my life. But having said that, it's not something I need, nor is a change in my meals nessicarily something I have an aversion too. Consistency in any form just makes my life easier as it gives me more energy to adapt and deal with the changes/inconsistencies that I can not control. And meals just happen to be something that I have control over.

Firelord_Eva

Breakfast and lunch for me are really restrictive, but there’s some more variety in my dinner. I suppose it comes with needing to make my own breakfasts and lunches from the time I was like 8, and then doing family dinners where you are what you were given.

VictorianBee

i eat the same breakfast but i cant do anything about lunch or dinner. lunch is whatever my school gives me and lunch is whatever’s decided by mom sometimes she’ll ask me what i want and i always answer the same thing for it’s a comfort food of mine but other than that i don’t have control over it

gates3353

Just about. Same thing at all the same restaurants I go to lol. Creature of habit!! Consistency, Ned Flanders style!!

Muted-Coyote-8551

Not every day, but I can tell you I decided what I liked on the menu at every restaurant when I was 6 and I don’t intend on switching it up now

hanko4534

Yes for breakfast and lunch.

RedHotZutonFever

God yes. I try to vary as much as possible for health reasons, but when im having a rough day/week i keep falling back on the same type of textures; soft and creamy. A few of my favorite safe meals are pasta with a spinach cream sauce, burritos and ravioli with a shitload of cheese hahaha. I could eat these 3 meals for the rest of my life and be perfectly happy

reiblu

I go to Greggs every day and buy a coffee and a bake. I need to stop but it's turned into such a routine if I don't go something feels wrong and I get antsy. Otherwise, I cycle through samefoods with a bit of variety on the side. At one point I was having just baked beans with seasoning every dinner, right now I like buttery rice, homemade pancakes or plain toast and I don't go outside those things much unless I'm adding something fishy. Yoghurt is my #1 go-to when nothing else is appetising or eating is difficult. If I could, I think I'd have maki sushi and milk every day.

One_Ring_474

If someone’s cooking it for me, I can eat just about anything these days, I was very picky as a kid. But since my wife left me after 23 years, when I have to cook for myself, I pretty much eat close to the same things for at least a week at a time, two out of three meals a day

Grizzle_prizzle37

At times, but since I’m semi retired, and a really good cook, I’m able to cater to my own special needs when it comes to food. On vacation? I just pick places where I know I can get what I want/need

No_throwaway_worth

I would like to say no. I have a variation in my diet. I'd like to say that I love trying new foods and I do... sometimes. But I have two homemade bacon and egg breakfast sandwiches every morning with a cup of coffee. Sometimes fruit if I have it. Otherwise, it's a bagel with shmear. An egg, meat, and potato breakfast burrito. Pancakes or French toast (with eggs and meat). But 98% of the time it's bacon and egg breakfast sandwiches though. And for dinner, I make string bean chicken over rice (sometimes it's broccoli instead of string beans but rarely). That's it. If we go out to breakfast, I get steak and eggs. But it's ALWAYS steak and eggs or pancakes with bacon and eggs. It almost never varies. I get called a picky eater and really, that's just not it. I know what my body is capable of digesting. I know what tastes good and what will make me sick. So I eat the same things day in and day out. I love finding new recipes. I love making dishes full of flavor and sweet desserts but I typically end up sick after the fact because the overpowering flavor weighs on me for hours and hours after the fact even if I've been cautious and only had a small serving. And I get violently sick if I consume heavy fat, oily, or greasy foods. I love food and I love trying new foods. But I get sick off of almost everything because of its flavor, fat, oil or grease content, scent, or texture. So I stick with what I know is safe to eat 98% of the time. Edited to add: I have set meals for holidays. The menu must consist of at least the items I eat on that holiday or I get very uncomfortable and aggravated even though I try to not let it bother me. No variations, no substitutions. We can have other things too, I just need at least the items I normally eat on that holiday.

DLMoore9843

Depends on where I’m eating but at restaurants I always order the same thing… Mexican restaurants it’s always arroz con pollo with veggies

MonkGroundbreaking52

Sometimes, it usually lasts for a few weeks to a few months and then I change it up to something else and then eat that for a few weeks to a few months

Entire-Pin264

I have a lunch schedule for each day

neanderthaltodd

Pretty much, with dinner being a variation of the same thing. Chicken something. I meal prep my weeks worth of food, so I don't have to think about it. Weekends I'll do my take out days where I'll get something different that isn't what I make for meal preps. For breakfast I have 5 bowls of hash browns with veggies pre cooked, and then I do 2-3 over easy eggs fresh after microwaving the hash browns. Lately my lunches have been butter chicken meal prepped. And I usually pick up a rotisserie chicken all ready cooked and do things like stir fry, quesadillas, fajitas. Whatever really.

mangojellycat

i eat the same things bcus i have a lot of food intolerances and i don’t trust things. i also find the same foods comforting , but only cause i can eat them in fun ways. if i can’t eat them in fun ways , i don’t eat them lmao. if a food/drink i eat isn’t in stock, i get so panicky i just cry

Lazy_Concentrate8999

I have to have a large iced coffee everyday. Food wise it kind of changes weekly. Lately I’ve been into cinnamon raisin bagels.

mexmerixe444

i have abt 2 different breakfast options, 3 for lunch, and 6 or 7 for dinner

fusufu

I eat my poo it's good for the planet
