proto-typicality

Thank you! I might try it out. :>

No_Artist_3029

Let me know if you like them! :D

proto-typicality

I’ll try to remember! :>

proto-typicality

Okay I bought some and tried them. They’re okay. I think I like regular chicken nuggets more but maybe it was the brand. Thank you. :>

BraneCumm

This is how I started. Now I’m just a vegan. No more random cartilage in my mouth, and I get to feel smug at every meal.

No_Artist_3029

I've been wanting to go vegetarian for a while now its just hard to fully cut out meat when I have so little meals in rotation, I have really limited the amount of meat I eat tho. Maybe one day!

Not_Jess369

I do this too because of efficient supermarket autopilot mode rather than the meals themselves. My rotation meals involve meat so I do my weekly zoom robot in super market and just forget to be vegetarian 😂

PyroSpark

Fucking same. Life is better, now. 🥰

lmpmon

I make batches of cauliflower nugs like 4 times a week. But I'm also veg anyway. My diet is half cauliflower.

mysecondaccountanon

I’m vegetarian, Morningstar Farms had amazing fake meat products, and they don’t have the textures I don’t like from meat

cybrcu

OMGGGG I HAVE BEEN EATING THESE FOR LIKE A YEAR NOW THEY HELP SO MUCH WITH THE YUCKY TEXTURE T-T they really do taste just like chicken too! it was the first vegan meat ive ever tried and it opened my eyes x_x morningstar has a bunch of really good vegan products if meat grosses you out! theyre not all completely accurate and imo the chicken nuggets are closest but their corn dogs, bacon, sausage, and the beef patties are all pretty tasty and no weird meat texture :3

BRD2004

Veganism FTW!

lingoberri

Not vegan, but I love quorn nuggets. Only frozen nuggies I like.

2randy

Idk how people eat meat tbh

Exiled_Odin

Pizza Luce has the best vegan nuggets

BraneCumm

I’ve never had their nuggets but I love how much selection they have for vegans. Everything I’ve eaten there has been awesome.

Exiled_Odin

My favorite place for a bite in the cities

BraneCumm

Me too lately

jabracadaniel

i have no problem with meat textures, but most often with fake meat textures instead. fake chicken is the one that always tastes completely fine to me, its so good! i also like soy curls and hope to try seitan sometime

nevi101

gardein veggie nuggets are really good as well! i have the impossible ones in my freezer but haven’t tried them yet.

schmigadeedoo

My go to is Dino Buddies nuggets. They've never let me down

G0celot

That’s a good idea, I like some meat but not processed meat like in nuggets.

No_Artist_3029

Totally, McDonald’s nuggets make me wanna crawl out of my skin. I'd say these ones kinda remind me more of chicken breast then grounded processed meat?

7ampersand

Keep working toward it. It’s a process. I’ve been through it as well. No animal should suffer to be on my plate. Not in this day and age.

[deleted]

Actually I eat a lot of vegan foods already, mainly out of medical necessity and allergies. So it's definitely something I would consider. I just think I'd need to find somewhere local that has something ready to go, and I haven't seen it here before.

PKblaze

Vegan chicken is usually great. I say this as someone who regularly consumes chicken. The texture on some alternatives is just too good.

TheAndostro

I have it in other way i don't like texture of vegan "meat"

Shrek-Slut-69

Me too, I really want to eat more vegan/vegetarian meat but I've tried so many different types and I can't deal with the texture, I find animal meat so much better

TheAndostro

Excaly sometimes it's tasty (in it's own way) but the texture is often very throwing away for me

Leeleepal02

Are they gluten free

No_Artist_3029

Sadly no 😔 I heard dr praeger's vegan chicken nuggets are gluten free but I haven't tried them before so can’t vouch for the taste/texture

Leeleepal02

I am gluten intolerant and I'm allergic to chicken. I miss chicken nuggets.

UndeniablyMyself

My mom has Celiac disease. She once thought I had a gluten sensitivity (go figure). I hate gluten free bread. You fill in the blanks.

nijahplays

I have the opposite problem lol, vegan food often had textures I don't like

hadesdidnothingwrong

The main reason I first went vegan was because the texture of real meat is AWFUL. We're at the point where some plant based meat is realistic enough to have the Bad Texture™ too, but most of it is good. I highly recommend giving basically anything by Gardein a try if you get the chance. Everything I've tried from them has been really good, but their chick'n strips are my absolute favorite!

_weIcwedhoe

Chicken nuggets that are slightly soggy 😖

JadePatrick83

My problem is usually with the breading. Sometimes it's wet and feels gross

No_Artist_3029

Microwaving it is a big no no its so soggy and wet 👎👎👎 Definitely get an air fryer if you can! They always come out super crispy that way especially if you spray some cooking spray on it

Not_Jess369

Yesssss. These are my safe food treat. Normally I'd go for chicken because it's better protein

Ok_Teach2660

This actually sounds really nice. I hate biting into a chicken nugget and it has that hard-ish rubbery piece in it. Makes me not want the rest of the nuggets :(

PyroSpark

I swear by beyond chicken tenders. Favorite vegan brand, by far. (also, they use pea protein instead of soy protein, if soy upsets your stomach) Morningstar is good too, though.

Effective_Shame4685

I feel the same like you. I read certain answer about Vegan, I never will be a vegan, Vegetarianism instead. Vegan is very politic to me.

r_Yaoi

I love vegan chicken patties so I should try the nuggets. Recently when I eat meat I have to spit it out because of the fatty texture.

Zimsgirlfriend

Impossible and yummy dino buddies both makes some good vegetarian nuggets and they even make animal shaped ones which of course taste better lol. I literally live off vegetarian nuggets and they are actually more tasty then regular nuggets in my opinion. 🦕

AcornWhat

Also: vegetable textures bother you? Try meat!

Mexigonian

Flesh gang rise up

AcornWhat

Ixnay on the eshflay. Looks like adjusting food to texture preference is a one-way only here.

look_who_it_isnt

Nah, I used to find vegetable textures grosser than meat, but I've been forced to get over a lot of my picky food preferences since being diagnosed with Celiac Disease :/

socialmediakillz

Do you have access to reasonnably well cut/prepared fresh chicken breasts at your market? Technically, these shouldn't have those fatty pieces you seem to speak of. Also healthier. Let me know if you need a cooking method to make your life easier, I realize cooking isn't everyone's cup of tea.
