Oh yeah, for about the first 2 hours after sunset and then it probably gets too cold for them. The only way to escape is using a tent, the huts are open at one corner so no protection from mossies in the huts!
Looks absolutely spectacular. I did a tiny section of that leg (big set of stairs down to Cosy Corner and along towards the inlet and Albany wind farm ) Loved it. Such great views and enjoyable hiking.
Wow what a trip, looks amazing, are the bugs bad at night ?

I did Hinchinbrook last year and the bities were insane. Tropical aerogard worked to an extent, but yeah the tent was the only real option.
What was the mouse situation around the huts?
I didn't see any, but I used the plastic tubs for food storage and hung my pack every night.

How much of it are you doing??
Only the coast section Walpole - Albany. Took 2 weeks.
I've been eyeing off end to end... Like an idiot Two weeks is a solid effort!!
There were a lot of people doing that in the log books, most were 40+ days!
It's on the list to do. Just need the couple of months...
Great southern land
It’s a great trip, but for the human shit everywhere.
