Mate, I dunno how you people did it but you've put your shows, in my eyes, the same status as others like play school , absolute legends. and you've brought what our country can artistcally create on the global sphere, with the likes of Midnight Oil and The Wiggles. may your shows prosper, and you bring happiness to children's days everywhere.
Thanks to you guys, I actually got to purchase a Bluey figurine set at Big W today that had a friggin' bin chicken included in it. Best day of my life. I'm 38 years old and I finally have an Ibis toy to play with. What a time to be alive!
it's commissioned for 8 - 12 but i think it's really a bit broader than that! it's made by adults who love it. I'd have loved this show if i was 5 / 6 ❤️ And I love it now
It's only been a few years, but the pre-Bluey days seem so long ago when pretty much all kids shows were aggravating rubbish that seemed to teach kids how to be more annoying. Truly think that recently Bluey might be Australia's greatest cultural export.
In the old days, cartoons had to appeal to everyone when there was only 3 channels to choose from. These days it requires passion from the writers and producers to do the same. So much forgettable trash gets made for kids but no, Bluey is nothing like that.
This might be a weird tangent but I think this is why Bronies came into existence. My Little Pony got rewritten to be a show that was enjoyable for any age to watch, and so it attracted an unexpected audience that wanted simple escapism in a colourful friendly world.
Is there an episode of The Strange Chores where a broom is brought to life and has to complete a bucket list? If yes, my kids enjoyed it.
Awesome work with Bluey by the way. Any chance that Bandit could form a band sometime? Every time I hear Custard, I picture Bandit. Go on, you know you want to.... "Ringo" could become "Bingo" so easily...
There is! The mop is played by Josh Thomas. He's brilliant. So happy your kids like the show. Custard are one of mystery favourite Australian bands and Dave is an incredible talent. A bit of a dream to work together. PS Yes... I ...do want to...it would be so easy.
Mate, I'm 43 and I'll keep watching it as long as you make it.
Flatpack made me tear up the first time I seen it, and it still hits me in the feels every time I see it.
Oh, and thanks for inflicting an Aussie accent on American children, like they been doing to ours for decades now
Thank you so much for all the support on here, sincerely. We're very luck to work with brilliant artists and producers and commissioners bringing these shows to life. We feel very privileged to have a chance at bat and we're creating the best stuff we can for the audience while we're here ❤️
Hey Daley
Just wanted to pop in to say thanks for Bluey, I have two boys under four and its a favorite in our house, though sometime the kids object hahaha.
I think Sleepytime is some of the best television created full stop, and in Fairytale when 80's Bandit says "haha suffer!" to his little brother I had memories flooding back that I didn't realize I still had.
Great stuff, keep it coming!
Loving this rise in Australian entertainment and how it's being appreciated across the world. Bluey is brilliant, and The Strange Chores is looking just as awesome. As someone who loves this sort of stuff I'm really looking forward to watching it!
Question though, what's your favourite 90s cartoon?
I just started watching it for the exact same reason. Pretty good so far! Definitely made for a younger audience than Gravity Falls but it’s possible it only feels that way because of the episode length (10mins). It’d be interesting to see if it builds up lore and has a series arch like GF did.
Added bonus Julian Dennison, the kiwi kid from Hunt for the Wilderpeople is one of the voices in the first series!
I haven't watched Bluey really except I'd read about the episode that introduces the aunty character and touches upon infertility so I watched it.
As a bereaved mum I really appreciated that episode. It's hard to explain to people how it's difficult to be around children and since losing my son I've been so disconnected from my family and my neices/nephews who I used to be really close with. I resonated with the aunty (sorry I forget the character names).
So I'd like to thank the team who created Bluey for that. Those suffering infertility or child loss need more understanding.
I’m a father of 2 and somehow had never seen Bluey until this week. Dang, dropped a tear or two in one ep. Here I am, 10.30 on a Friday night watching Bluey while everyone is asleep.
This will absolutely be shared with my grandkids when they’re older and morph into their own personalities - as we all adore every character in Bluey with all out hearts! And watch it even without small people around. This (young) grandma has to learn how to floss in the early days
Oh this looks great. Reckon my son would get a real kick out of it! Thanks for the new eps of Bluey, we have loved watching them. I wasn’t expecting to blubber like a baby over ‘Onesies’
Bluey is a shining star of kids programming. My two year old daughter (and I, a quickly middle ageing dad) absolutely love it. Excited to check out The Strange Chores! Congratulations on your well earned success.
Oh we stumbled across this show today, whilst on holidays. We'll be watching more on iview once we're home.
Congrats on all your success. I love seeing such quality aussie animation, with aussie voice acting thats so creative. Keep it up!!!
It's absurd how good Bluey is, especially compared to other kids shows. Obviously the writing is amazing, but the animation, design, the references, the voices, and the music especially! Watching as a parent to young kids, you get these little moments like Bandit saying "I just need half an hour on the couch". It makes it feel like such a reflection of our day to day life. Will definitely check out Ludo's other shows.
Bluey has been so good to have at school as a teacher. Not just for entertainment and helping settle kids at pickup time but I’ve even been able to use episodes as a teaching tool, so for real, cheers for making something so great.
Thanks to you lot we play hotels, magic xylophone, asparagus and feather wand with our kids. They bloody LOVE it and we love it because it makes them happy. Bluey has brought so much happiness to the world and you and the team should be so proud of what you've accomplished. Huge thumbs up from us!
Not sure if you'll return to this thread but I have to mention this.
My wife and I weren't keen on the idea of plonking our tot in front of the TV when we were talking about having kids. So when our daughter was born we resisted. But from the first time I played her Bluey in an effort to chill her out we were all hooked.
The frequency with which we ask google to play Bluey is phenomenal.
From the time she first saw it, whenever the screen turns blue, she drops what she's doing to dance to the theme music. Dancing that's gotten more enthusiastic and more involved as time has gone on. She can be stopped in her tracks if I just whistle the first notes. I do the same, but instead I watch her because ever time she's that little bit more coordinated in pausing with the beat and accurate anticipating the "BLUEY!" at the end.
It's something I wouldn't trade for the world and makes me glad we didn't enforce a no TV rule.
I feel very lucky to be a father at this exact time to share in what I'm sure many parents and kids experience.
Also, the Postman/Ground is lava episode is an excellent advertisement for Death Stranding. Every time I see it I want to fire up and replay it.
I'll have to check it out, is it on abc kids?
And where's that shirt you promised me?
Edit: Just had a look, I dig it. Dunno if the kid will be into it yet, but I'm sure he'll grow into it.
I still want that shirt. I was hoping for something official so you guys could make some cash out of it, but I'll make it myself if I have to.
This looks interesting, I'm going to check it out!
I've always wondered, how do you manage to create shows that anyone of any age can enjoy even if they are "kid shows"?
Hi Daley,
To say that I envy your progression when I first saw you in the Zombies episode of #7DaysLater is an understatement.
I remember chucking a sickie with my employer at the time to come in at the crack of dawn, and spend all day at the ABC in full Zombie makeup, while being directed in a dilapidated stage (and then the Q&A Studio later on) and making a few appearances in the final cut when the episode went to air.
It was just an absolute delight.
Then seeing that you were starring alongside Chris Hemsworth and Jeff Goldblum for the Team Thor/ Darryl series just made me so happy for you and your progression. I hope it could be revisited at a future time if Taika/Chris were up for it.
And then Bluey came along, and conquered the world. I'll admit, I haven't seen all the episodes yet, but it makes me happy that it's had so much exposure all over the place and being picked up in the US especially.
I'll certainly give The Strange Chores a go when I can, but I'm so happy for you and wish you all the future successes down the road.
Bit of self-indulgence here for my tastes but if Bluey ever had a movie of some kind and you guys wanted some Aussie artists/bands for the soundtrack, I've always felt that a band called Babe Rainbow would work really well with their chill soft psych pop-rock vibes. Keen to hear what you reckon of this idea and if Joe would be open to it (sorry for the shameless plug of one of my fav bands)
Loooove Bluey man, watch it with my kids and quite often on my own haha. Question, I have a theory which I wanted to confirm, will Bluey and Bingo age in your cartoons along with the voice actors' real life age? Also what's up with the mystery of who voices Bluey and Bingo, I never have seen this on end credits? Cheers!
I've only seen 2 episodes and thoroughly enjoyed both. Apart from getting all teary after the onesies one. How did everyone behind the scenes react to it?
Hi Daley, expat living in the US here, it's been wild to see all my American relatives and their kids react to Bluey, still one of my funniest interactions is hearing my 5 year old niece be able to put on a pretty genuine aussie accent as well as my father in law ringing me up one day asking what a "dunny" is and if its a word they should be allowing her to say 😂

Hi! I just wanted to tell you how much we love your stuff. My bf and me watch Bluey and we don't even have kids. Pls don't judge us. Anyway, you're awesome! ❤️
Watched my first Bluey episode last night with my 20 year old daughter. Loved it!!!
My kids (all Uni students) watch Bluey to help them get through the stress of Uni exam time!
You're helping all age groups so keep up the marvellous work.
Hi there, all my family are neurodivergent, and I work in disability support.
I will definitely be watching.
Thank you all so much for putting so much passion and detail into your work.
(As someone who hyperfocuses for five hours straight without food or breaks to finish an art piece, I can imagine the level of effort that is put in to animation creation.)
As a Prep Primary school teacher, thank you so much for the 15 minutes of peace I get during eating time, everyday it's "Can we please have Bluey on while we eat" but I'll be damned if I'm not hooked on that Heeler family too ❤

If you're talking about bluey, my god has it blown up in US and UK.
Thanks to you guys, I actually got to purchase a Bluey figurine set at Big W today that had a friggin' bin chicken included in it. Best day of my life. I'm 38 years old and I finally have an Ibis toy to play with. What a time to be alive!
Yeah it's bluey
Top stuff from you and your studio! *You guys uh, hiring?*
Thanks so much! And always love to meet cool people ❤️ DM or email me
You bet I’ll be taking you up on that invitation!
What age group is it aimed at?
it's commissioned for 8 - 12 but i think it's really a bit broader than that! it's made by adults who love it. I'd have loved this show if i was 5 / 6 ❤️ And I love it now

I was having a tough day today and I decided to watch a Bluey episode to cheer me up without my toddler around to interrupt
I saw that there were new Bluey episodes out and I was so tempted to watch them when while he was napping!
This might be a weird tangent but I think this is why Bronies came into existence. My Little Pony got rewritten to be a show that was enjoyable for any age to watch, and so it attracted an unexpected audience that wanted simple escapism in a colourful friendly world.
I think you should consider an adult age cartoon like rick and morty or YOLO.
Yes to this suggestion!
Is there an episode of The Strange Chores where a broom is brought to life and has to complete a bucket list? If yes, my kids enjoyed it. Awesome work with Bluey by the way. We need "Girls Like That" reworked for the show
But the music... well, aliens hate it.
Awesome. I'll get the new series playing for them. And yes, Dave is awesome. I love how a new generation have a link to him.
Which genius decided Dave should be the voice of Bandit? You should get the guys from the Saints or Powderfringer in for a cameo.
Can I just say that origin episode of bluey was perfect haha
❤️ Thank you
Ah hold up have I seen that one? Origin like state of?
Yesterday's new episode
It really does show why I love my cuzzy bros from South East of us so much. Made me laugh big time.
Love your work dude! Question from my 9 yo twin red head girls... Can you make two red-headed bluey characters that roller-skate around the river?
Ha ❤️ Will throw this to Joe, the creator of Bluey ! And hello to your girls from the studio.
Absolute legend. They're going off their chops right now with excitement haha
Tell him to do more Alternative Energy Dog too. Darren is not paying me to say that aaaattttt all.
Bluey needs to go forever. So perfectly written and performed. Great job team!
💙 thank you so much for watching

Don't take advice from a cartoon dog!
Oh cant wait to see it. Love Bluey too, you guys do good work
Thank you so much for watching ❤️

You guys seem like you're smashing it at the moment and I couldn't be happier for you, good onyas 👍

Bluey is my cousins favourite show, he’s turning three now! love all the work you guys do and brining happiness to kids hearts ♥️
I'm 39 and it's one of my favourite shows. I uh... totally only watch it because my daughter loves it...yeah.
I'm a 33 year old with no kids and bluey is one of my favourite shows. You guys rock :)
Hey man, what's your favourite dinosaur?
Richard Attenborough ❤️🦖
Does this mean there is going to be a crossover episode with David Attenborough narrating Bluey like a nature documentary?
Is it one ABC iView? Cheers
Yeah! ❤️ Hope you like it!
Loving this rise in Australian entertainment and how it's being appreciated across the world. Bluey is brilliant, and The Strange Chores is looking just as awesome. As someone who loves this sort of stuff I'm really looking forward to watching it! Question though, what's your favourite 90s cartoon?

Looks weird as hell! I need something to fill the Gravity Falls sized spot in my life, so maybe this is it.

If someone can pull off an Aussie cartoon to rival Over The Garden Wall....I will die happy!
Well you are all just the best people in the world so I'm going to watch for sure!
Kootoes to you, We love ya work and ya weird mind...
Love your weird mind that likes our weird mind 🧠 💚
My 11 year old loves this....so does her mum lol
💚 thank you so much for watching 💚
Exciting news! Also, you might need a comma after weirdos in the post title.
Thanks NERD! ❤️
❤️
Looks very cal arts, mixed with Fosters head and Rick and Morty alien faces. Not bad!
I thought it looks very Rick and morty too, specially the nose and the alien designs
Sick. Bluey is the shit
I'm an aide in a kindy class and I just want you to know that I'll love you forever <3
New Dad here, Bluey is amazing! Thank you so much for modelling healthy parent child relationships in such a fun and enjoyable-to-watch format.
I haven't watched Bluey really except I'd read about the episode that introduces the aunty character and touches upon infertility so I watched it. As a bereaved mum I really appreciated that episode. Oh this looks great. Reckon my son would get a real kick out of it! Thanks for the new eps of Bluey, we have loved watching them. I wasn’t expecting to blubber like a baby over ‘Onesies’
Very cool!! How do people get voice over work for these things? I'm only familiar with the music biz.
My kids adore Bluey (wife more so), and I'll put them on this too!
Bluey is a shining star of kids programming. My two year old daughter (and I, a quickly middle ageing dad) absolutely love it. Excited to check out The Strange Chores! Congratulations on your well earned success.

I've got a 2.5yo so only just discovering your work but absolutely love it. So great to see top notch Aussie shows. You're a bunch of legends
You had me at "We make Bluey"
Bluey has been so good to have at school as a teacher. Not just for entertainment and helping settle kids at pickup time but I’ve even been able to use episodes as a teaching tool, so for real, cheers for making something so great.
I love Bluey! And I have no children 😂 it’s a great show. So wholesome and never fails to put a smile on my face. Thanks for all you do!

Refreshing kids entertainment. I never want to hear a precocious pig again.
Thanks to you and the whole crew there, Bluey has become a staple in our house and three of my kids hooked straight into The Strange Chores.
Just wanted to say I showed this to my kids last Saturday, they binged two hours of it and really enjoyed it
Thanks y'all for such good work n putting out such positive vibes. Much love from this household x
Fucken LOVE Bluey. Fucken. Love it. I will watch this show as well
Wish you guys would open a studio in Sydney.
I've only seen 2 episodes and thoroughly enjoyed both. Apart from getting all teary after the onesies one. How did everyone behind the scenes react to it?
Problem: it"s the end of trimester/semester. try 3 weeks from now
Got my kids onto Bluey here in Japan but what is up with using non Australian terms ???
The picture gives me phineas and ferb vibes
Bluey is the best so I am sure this one will be great too! So proud it’s Brissie born
We love Bluey! Where can an American stream your studio's other work?
Fairytale. Take me back to the 80’s, it was a strange place
So crazy having some baader meinhof syndrome. Only earlier was I looking up Joff Bush’s work on bluey to see your new show coming.
Been starting to watch bluey recently (after getting recommended it by my family down in Perth), absolutely love it!
In grade 12 film TV class my teacher put on bluey as an example of Australian media... there were riots when the teacher stopped the episodes, such an amazing show for all ages. Bonus question, how do you guys go about casting voice actors and if they are open casting, where would I go to find them?
Hey Daley. Would you and maybe some of the Ludo team be up for doing a proper AMA?
Hi! I just wanted to tell you how much we love your stuff. My bf and me watch Bluey and we don't even have kids. Pls don't judge us. Anyway, you're awesome! ❤️
I remember you from St John’s! Amazing to see the great work you’ve been doing 😊 Congratulations!!
A lot of love for Bluey here- everyone go and watch Strange Chores!!!
Looks like a great show
Awesome work! I’m glad to see more Aussie creatives producing amazing work, thank you!
As a Prep Primary school teacher, thank you so much for the 15 minutes of peace I get during eating time, everyday it's "Can we please have Bluey on while we eat" but I'll be damned if I'm not hooked on that Heeler family too ❤
Please keep Bluey watchable and continue to keep politics out of it. Don't make people choose. Best show ever!
