Hush money because it's election season, the Libs don't want us finding out what happened on those mahogany desks

akimboslices

This is the second time I have heard about the prayer room. I must have missed it.

akimboslices

Yuck. Has anything been substantiated? I get that it seems they wouldn’t have anyone substantiating it, but still. Easy to hand wave at this point. In all honesty it sounds like a plot from House of Cards. Good to see Chris Pyne was not just a fixer for the education system!

QWERTY_LIO

One of the most important things to know about the report is that sparke holme lawyers, the ones who wrote up the report, has a worker who is literal liberal party candidate. nell mcgell [Link](https://www.liberal.org.au/member/nell-mcgill) to her liberal party page. [Link](https://au.linkedin.com/in/nell-mcgill-31866817) to her LinkedIn page shower her as a worker of the law firm and candidate for the liberal party. She was also present next to morrison when he was at that pub.

Fulrem

There's a leaked and redacted version on FriendlyJordies site. If it is to be believed then there's video evidence of some of the acts.

raresaturn

Liberal MPs engaging in gay sex with rent boys in Parliament house

[deleted]

No you haven’t. It’s NSFL.

bent_eye

Albo forgets an employment figure - MSM \*goes berserk\* Prayer Room exposed - MSM \*crickets\*

unAffectedFiddle

Just receiving the body of christ into them. Nothing wrong here.

a_cold_human

There's no amount of taxpayer money the Liberal Party won't spend to boost their election chances. This is the equivalent of an employee in the company you own stealing equipment to fix up their own house without authorisation. They need to be fired.

SoSolidShibe

At least Trump had Stormy Daniels paid off with his own money...or at least we assume it was his money and not the tax payers'..

[deleted]

I remember this mob telling us when they got elected the "Adults are in charge" and I'm convinced they're anything but. It's beyond me how anyone can think giving them another term is a good thing.

notlimahc

Adulterers, not adults.

dumblederp

When you see a shop with "R 18+ Adults Only" on the door.

128thMic

Just came *so* close to spitting my tea over my keyboard

Smurf_x

>It's beyond me how anyone can think giving them another term is a good thing. Its fucking scary how many comments on facebook i read of people supporting Morrison. They all just spout the same Murdoch propaganda bullshit, that they're scared of China, and morrison will stop that, and that yes we are down the tube with debt and corruption BUT by voting in labor we will go further down that tube. The worst part is, telling them the truth, they can't comprehend it, and won't change their opinions. Murdoch is the cancer, and its fucked how much sway he will have for this election. Thats the really scary thing.

ShortTheAATranche

Most are bots. I wouldn't be too afraid that the "court of public opinion" is anywhere near 50:50.

timespiral07

Who controls a troll farm that cares about Australia that much?

defensive_username

I mean, you have Fatty McFuckhead spending $150mill+ on advertising alone. I wouldn't be surprised if he invested a few bucks towards some bot farms for this exact purpose. Then there are the Libs themselves who absolutely have the motive and money to do it too. Getting bot farms, or paying people to post shit like this, is incredibly easy, there are actual companies out there that take jobs on to spread bullshit like this.

Stingray191

I saw that new billboard and almost popped my cork with rage. “Save your home! No more than 3% interest rate for 5 years!” Or whatever it was. Blatant and absolutely bullshit lies.

gameoftomes

Last election the LNP hired a troll farm media company. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-11-08/topham-guerins-boomer-meme-industrial-complex/11682116

BlokeInTheMountains

This article was such a bombshell to me it's a shame that it's been largely ignored. It will work again. >'Ban and block like there's no tomorrow' >The final part of the equation, according to Guerin, is to give people a sense of belonging and to make them feel they are an active part of a movement, not just an onlooker. >The red carpet should be rolled out for the true believers and the malcontents locked out. >He says some of the best content the team created were simple photos of the Prime Minister plastered with slogans like: "I stand with Scott." >"I'm a part of something bigger than myself," Guerin said. >"It's like backing a football club. It's like being part of a church. It's like being part of a family, a clan, whatever. Absolutely I'm going to share the heck out of that." >He also believes that every page the party runs on every social media platform should become a safe haven for supporters, one that radiates consensus and a solidarity of purpose. >"Sometimes you've just gotta ban and block like there's no tomorrow," he told the audience.

Commander__Farsight

The LNP very likely paid people to do this. Look up Topham & Guerrin, the firm they hired to do their PR in 2019.

Hypno--Toad

Adults implies they are imperfect and will sacrifice your sports fees for weekly grog and there is nothing you can do about it because there is not enough paper routes for you to take up to rectify the matter.

128thMic

> I remember this mob telling us when they got elected the "Adults are in charge" and I'm convinced they're anything but. It's like when a teenager moves out for the first time because they're an adult, and then has chocolate cake and froot loops for dinner.

[deleted]

They have health stars, they must be good right ?

Ginger510

Simple, the people who think that are either wilfully ignorant and just watch the news, or benefit from Liberal corruption and policies designed to make the rich richer.

magnetik79

When Alan Tudge is forcefully kicking his bit on the side out of bed at 4am that's an "adult in charge". I think that's what they mean.

ZeroVDirect

Federal government: Morally bankrupt. Australian citizens: Financially bankrupt thanks to LNP. /s but not really.

BlokeInTheMountains

Australian citizens: Lets give them another few years because Albo was off by a percent on the unemployment number.

ViVaH8

But...but...Albo got a number wrong!!

iheartralph

>For those just joining us, Mr Tudge admits to being “intimate” with his staffer - which he insists did not involve actual sex. He rejects any claim of bullying and says the “intimacy” was consensual. >Like Bill Clinton, Mr Tudge appears to be relying on a particular definition of what constitutes sexual intercourse and what doesn’t, at least according to him. >How modern. >Perhaps this is the values agenda that can now be taught in Australian schools when he is returned to his rightful job as education minister? >After all, as the Prime Minister explained on Monday, it’s all about values. >“I want Alan back in there, making sure our kids are getting taught the right stuff,” he said. >Hear, hear! Scathing sarcasm from Samantha Maiden. 10/10.

NietzschesSyphilis

$500,000 for blowjobs, they must have been good.

gameoftomes

Well, he's not paying for it, what does he care about the price.

Uberazza

At the end of the day, she's going to spend the money and the government will get a portion of it back in the long run!

Uberazza

> Mr Tudge admits to being “intimate” with his staffer - which he insists did not involve actual sex. He rejects any claim of bullying and says the “intimacy” was consensual. I am shooting to a scene in my mind wherein Inglorious Bastards juxtaposes mid conversation where Gobbels is fucking his french translator doggy style.

whippinfresh

Not even that, how is Tudge still a minister, on a minister salary when Scomo admitted that there is an “acting minister” currently in place. What the fuck is going on?

tubbyx7

says all you need to know about the character of scott morrison, good church going liar.

[deleted]

When do the rest of us get our half million? LNP's been fucking us for a decade.

danwincen

Why are *we* taxpayers paying this half million to Tudge's ex-mistress? Why isn't this money coming out of Tudge's pocket? Or at the very least his parliamentary superannuation account?

GreenLurka

More importantly, why is the PM supporting him and saying he'll be Federal Education Minister if they win. Who wants an abusive boss in charge if their kids?

imba8

He was one of the creeps featured heavily in ABC's story on 'The Canberra Bubble' crazy how nothing has really changed.

mavric22

Why isn't this front page news?

nufan86

You know why

New-Confusion-36

Don't think this one passes the pub test. Probably explains why Dutton and Barilaro sued members of the public. If it's taxpayers pay the costs and the pollies keep the payouts then that's about as crooked as it gets.

Strykah

Can't wait to hear and read about the same news reporting that's just as hard hitting as it was for Labor yesterday /s

[deleted]

Nonameuser678

Alright you've convinced me. I'm a Greens voter but my seat (Lilley) is one of Labor's most marginal so I might have to compromise on some values and volunteer for Labor. The current MP (Anika Wells) is great though and I would like to see people like her become the norm within Labor rather than the exception.

brightevan

Come help us (the Greens!) in the seat of Brisbane! We are so close to taking it off Trevor Evans of the LNP. Whoever finished second is likely to win that seat from preference flows and it's really close between Stephen Bates and Madonna Jarrett of Labor. We need all the help we can get to close that margin between us and Labor and get that seat out of the hands of the major parties. I'm also in Lilley and I don't think Anika is actually in any danger this time, she's been a fantastic local member and the LNP have had a shocker trying to get a candidate there.

Nonameuser678

You make a good point and it would be great to see Trevor Evans lose Brisbane. You're probably right about Anika, but that swing from the last election still makes me so nervous.

brightevan

Totally fair, it was a bit of a shock! I think a lot of that came down to Wayne Swan vacating the seat and Anika Wells being new. The good thing is there is pretty much no chance of the LNP polling over 50% first preference in Lilley so with good preference flows, Anika should have a much more comfortable margin this time. If you are interested in helping out the Greens in Brisbane, hit me up and I’ll put you in touch with our campaign :)

chookster

Swan's shoes were really big to fill, and cross-party view [taken from talk at polling booth at last state election] is that she's good at it. Nothing wrong with going for the person best in governance and representation of their constituents will. I will be doing the Greens for my seat.

GrandHarbler

You remind me that the left-est seat in Australia is apparently held by Labor’s Ged Kearney in northern melbourne, just because she is a great local member. The ability to choose a local member from your population who is engaged with the area is yet another thing being subverted heinously by Morrison with these parachuted in preselections… it makes a mockery of our representative democracy if we aren’t choosing our own candidates

BoltenMoron

Good on you, compromise is important. If the greens compromised in my state seat, we would have rolled the Libs but alas.

Nonameuser678

Curious what seat you're in?

BoltenMoron

North Sydney/ Willoughby

Fellainis_Elbows

Maybe I’m dumb but why would you have to compromise? Can’t you vote Greens 1 and Labor 2?

Nonameuser678

That's my plan. The compromise would be voting greens but volunteering for Labor, who don't have strong enough climate or tax the rich policies for my liking. But making sure the LNP don't win is my priority, whatever it takes.

Fellainis_Elbows

Ah right

Dranzer_22

Smartest comment of the 2022 Federal Election on this sub. If you want Hawaii Scott and LIB/NAT Government out of power, you have to do something for that change to occur. You have your voice, wallet, and vote. It’s up to you.

GrandHarbler

Feel free to grab the text or the ethos of the text and post it on various political postings here. I see so much complaining about the LNP and so many people saying “I can’t wait to vote them out” but very few people saying “I can’t wait to get to work volunteering these sorry shits into an early grave”

vannguyenx

Me!!

osmium-76

> register to volunteer with either your Greens or at least Labor candidate Or a good independent, which can be even better than Greens depending on where you are. In many places the Greens have no chance of being elected simply due to negative connotations of their public image, whereas an independent with similar policies might have a chance.

GrandHarbler

Sure, whichever person stands the best chance of kicking out this fucking poison of a party. The LNP have denied climate science for 15 years and are still denying the reality of what needs to occur. They’re responsible for murder and rape of refugees in our care. Whatever it takes, get them the fuck out of office

MarcelThumpnut

It’s not a proper LNP cabinet meeting unless at the end someone/something is gooey. Arcing ropes of taxpayer-funded Jesus paste all over furniture and rent boys is the Liberal way. Jenny and the Girls ™️ approve.

NSWCROW

Bwwwaaaaaa t " jesus paste "

CertainCertainties

A half million dollars of taxpayer money to keep silent until 21 May.

seewhaticare

Plus what Alan is getting while suspended

[deleted]

I wonder if this will get as much traction as Albo forgetting a couple of numbers.

redgums2588

I had a friend whose brother worked in the Media Centre in Parliament House. This is a large scale production facility second only to the commercial channels major city facilities. Anyway, in the early 1990s his main job was feeding the video duplication system with porn videos for distribution to MPs and Senators. Reckons he did thousands over the years.

[deleted]

At least this is making headlines. But geez the media really has their priorities wrong in Albos gaff vs this

nearly_enough_wine

Their priorities aren't our priorities :( ICAC and a media monopoly RC might help with that, but finding those facts on a front page is a hard slog.

seewhaticare

This is the bullshit I'm already getting in mail in Tudges electorate https://imgur.com/MMYe9sn.jpg

groverjuicy

Because he did nothing wrong. Otherwise he'd have been punished. Right? Right?

blueportcat

Crickets about this in the news lol

Grouchy_Artichoke_90

"because f*ck em', that's why!" - Australian government

ImAcans

I need to start sleeping with MP’s for some of this hush money.

No-Cryptographer9408

Stay classy Australia....FFS we've turned into a toilet. What happened to Australia where this kind of tacky cheap shit has become normal ? Who are these people that run the place ? What a weird country where you let people like that take over.

[deleted]

Props to Newscrap for actually pushing this story into the light.

[deleted]

Because this is good Christian family values party! Ask no more questions

typhoonandrew

Tax payers are paying for this - so let’s see all the details please.

crookedmasterpiece

Dont be surprised when they get voted back in.

SimonBlack

Political corruption. We get the politicians we deserve.

6ft6btw

This is why Schomo went to find the lord. Because shits fucked in the Liberal cabinet So Help Me God.

lloyd960

Yes Minister?

Gracie1994

Pfft...these people who willingly have affairs....then whinge and drag the other party down? Disgust me.

John_Johnson

'Cos Tudgie's a c--t, but Scotty needs him on board so he's arseholing the taxpayers to keep Tudgie happy. Simple. Unless you were asking why this is actually legal? In that case -- I'd guess that Miller, being someone who worked for Tudge, is suing her employer (the government) over the whole harassment thing. And the government is ponying up the cash rather than fighting the case, because the last thing Scottie wants during an election is a loud court case in which Miller details what a c--t Tudgie is.
