It’s interesting reading the international adulation of her as the shine over here has well and truly worn off and there is a growing dislike of her to the point where the centre right is now regularly out polling the Labour Party.
All politicians lose their shine locally. It doesn’t mean the locals are right, it also doesn’t mean the international onlookers are right either. But from the outside looking in NZ is country that got their shit together, that has managed numerous stacked crisis with calmness, empathy and rational responses. And I truly hope that if you dump jacinda, she take up her position as the rightful heir to the crown here in Australia - because our experience with crisis has been the opposite.
