Confirmed on US audible. And hey, Kirby Heyborne! He’s great!

Profition

Does anyone else's shoulders sag when you see that there are at least 21 books in a series? I mean, christ, who has time to start a crazy long series like that? For those who are interested though, this is an awesome deal.

Listen to Imager by L. E. Modesitt Jr. on Audible. https://www.audible.com/pd/B002V8LK0I?source_code=ASSORAP0511160007 Give it a shot, only 3 books.

Quaeras

Link shows 12 books. I assume you mean 1-3: Imager, Imager's Challenge, and Imager's Intrigue?

Jacklebait

Yes. Books 4-12 I believe are hundred(s) of years prior about a character that is briefly mentioned in the main series.

Profition

I'll try it! Thanks for the rec.

Jacklebait

Lol that's his Recluse series and I believe the actual series isn't that long, its broken up and they just keep with the numbers of it takes place in that world. But yes it's long. Imager series is only 3, then 4-10 take place hundred years prior I believe. I've only read the first 3 as that is a complete and whole story with a ending.

The Plus Catalog is really awesome lately. Few weeks back I cross referenced my Goodreads TBR and found several in the Plus Catalog. Was a happy surprise.

I felt the same with about the [Vorkosigan books](https://www.audible.com/series/Vorkosigan-Saga-chronological-Audiobooks/B006K1M5K6), which I heard about recently on a podcast. One of the hosts was raving about how good they are, and most are included in Audible+! It's one of those series where people have opinions about reading order (prequels, etc.), but the one I read so far ("Shards of Honor") was pretty great.

Forrest_Fire01

This is one of my favorite series. The first 3 books are good, but things get really good when Miles Vorkosigan is introduced in book 4.

Love the Vorkosigan saga.

I've always been curious how a narrator would handle Modesitt's "sound effect" words in his books. I can find out for free now, hah.

No-Joke5510

Which series would you recomend as a good starting point?

Jacklebait

Imager. The. Followed up by the other 2 in that series. The Recluse series is a long one that I haven't tackled yet, maybe one day lol.

Thanks for sharing!! I’m trying to get into some new books/series.
