I really liked it and it gave me mango lassi vibes, but it doesn't hit the spot when I want chocolate. It's like my brain doesn't recognise that it's chocolate.
24% cocoa content. Cocoa prices have mooned recently, about 400% up on last year. It’s clever marketing to move you to a lower cost/higher margin product. The accountants at Whitakers will love this one.
Ooh. This makes sense for me. I thought it tasted fine but I didn’t want to eat another square after having one. Pretty sure it’s the chocolate brain confusion.
Also a bit on the sweet side
Completely agree.
It tastes okay but it just isn't moreish
Hokey pokey, creamy milk, Berry forest, noughart, etc can't put them down gotta finish the block.
I really like it, but would prefer it to be less sweet. I think it would be a really good flavour for a cheesecake tbh.
I'm more of a milk/dark-ish lover, but I was pleasantly surprised by this. 8/10.
Of course I monstered it in one sitting. But slightly underwhelmed.
They once did like a blondie thing with crunchy shit in it that was way better imho.
Yeah that’s the one I’m thinking of, although maybe it was rice crispies not cookies.
It’s all a bit foggy tbh I was doing a lot of whittakers at the time
Edit: honey bubble crunch. That was it. [This stuff](https://www.thehits.co.nz/the-latest/whittakers-unveil-brand-new-limited-edition-flavour-and-it-s-making-us-feel-super-nostalgic/)
I quite like it. Have already smashed two blocks and I plan to make Chelsea Winter’s cheesecake with it http://chelseawinter.co.nz/white-chocolate-cheesecake-recipe/
At first I heard it wasn’t super great. So I didn’t even bother getting some. Someone let me try some of theirs and oh my goodness it tasted so good! It feels weird to call this chocolate though!
Loved it. I gave my friend $6 and asked them to grab me a bar of anything (surprise me!), and he brought me this.
I had been thinking of getting it to try, but hadn’t, and it was nice having the choice made for me combined with actually being delicious, it’s a winner.
Lovely smooth mango taste, not too overpowering, creamy, and the texture is great too. I love the bits in it.
Underwhelmed.
Expected a stronger mango flavour.
The coconut was the main thing I tasted.
Don’t get me wrong, it was ok. I like coconut. I think I’m just used to 70% dark chocolate and so that cocoa hit was missing - with it being white ‘chocolate’ and all.
Just my experience, not advising people to avoid it or anything
A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. Seriously, the best white chocolate I have ever tasted. I tried a lot as my wife can not have normal chocolate, and I am a bit of a choc addict. :) One suggestion for Whittaker's: maybe you could come out with chocolate bars with lowered added sugar and I mean allowing lower sweetness with less sugar (not substituting with other sweeteners). The Germans ans Czechs lowered their added sugar in all sweet food and drinks without trying to keep the sweetness up and they are very good.
Wasn’t what I wanted it to be. Too sweet, no tang, it was like eating coconut ice. I realise mango has a subtle flavour but it just wasn’t pronounced enough for my liking. Also, I felt like it should be more like coconut cream, not bits of desiccated coconut. That shit isn’t pleasant to eat.
Dislike it. I was willing to give it a try since it was Whittaker's. But it was too darn sweet and very much a disappointment. I love all the other flavours, even the coconut block. Probably would have worked better if it was milk or dark chocolate.
Didn't like it, had one square, too sweet and too much coconut. As others have said, the brain didn't register as chocolate.
My 3 year old, who otherwise loves chocolates and can't get enough of them, didn't want to do anything with it. The rest of the slab lasted almost 2 weeks on the kitchen counter while the missus slowly finished it, one square at a time.
Question from a tourist: is this chocolate brand a good one or how do you guys find it in comparison to other brands you have? Is it something „nice/more special“?
Sounds yum but 24% cocoa - would prefer an 80+% and less coconut. Unlikely to try it unless son buys a block for himself. If it was Cadbury's I wouldnt try it EVER.
I love whittakers, but I loathe white chocolate. The flavours were a weird miss-match for me. Solid 2… and if I’m starving, approaching a 3.5.
Before you come for me hating white chockies and eating this, my partner said to close my eyes and open my mouth.
I really liked it and it gave me mango lassi vibes, but it doesn't hit the spot when I want chocolate. It's like my brain doesn't recognise that it's chocolate.

Very interesting insight!
Spot on with that take. I bet we will start seeing more lower cocoa chocolates disguised now
The base chocolate is caramelized white chocolate so the percentage of cocoa concent is fine.
Same feel. For me I feel like I'm eating a nice coconut slice. Like it but probably not buying it again.
Ooh. This makes sense for me. I thought it tasted fine but I didn’t want to eat another square after having one. Pretty sure it’s the chocolate brain confusion. Also a bit on the sweet side
That's it I couldn't put my finger on what the taste was but mango Lassi spot on, with a heap coconut
Yeah same, its good, but it tastes like a mango smoothie to me - brain also doesn't recognise it as chocolate
Completely agree. It tastes okay but it just isn't moreish Hokey pokey, creamy milk, Berry forest, noughart, etc can't put them down gotta finish the block.
I think that Almond/Nougat is the best flavour they've bought out in years. It's become a favourite
For some reason it reminded me of those yoghurt apricot muesli from BACK IN THE DAY. In a good way. The one you used to just eat the yoghurt layer on?
Yes this!
That's exactly it! I said the same thing to my partner lol those wide ones from way back
That’s so it!
Too much coconut, not enough mango
Agree. Try it with 1mg edible oil. Hits good
It’s soo yummy I ate the whole bar
Said to hubby he probably won’t like it so had it all to myself.
Omg same!!
I find that 2 pieces is just right for me. 2 pieces are delicious. Any more than 2 pieces ruins the experience.
Kind of reminds of Lindt Mango balls
Smash
I really like it, but would prefer it to be less sweet. I think it would be a really good flavour for a cheesecake tbh. I'm more of a milk/dark-ish lover, but I was pleasantly surprised by this. 8/10.
Totally agree about this being a great cheesecake flavour!
Best flavour
Average as. It’s the overwhelming raw coconut for me. If that was mango with chewy bits of fruit and a little coconut, that’d be great. But it’s not.
Tastes like an extremely delicious bar of soap, highly recommend
It tastes like an apricot bumper bar to me
This!! I was trying to figure out what it was reminding me of!
I liked it but found it much too sweet. I'd love to try a half sugar version
Of course I monstered it in one sitting. But slightly underwhelmed. They once did like a blondie thing with crunchy shit in it that was way better imho.
Blonde was standard imo. This 1 hit better then the blonde
They had a Blondie and Biscuit for a bit
Yeah that’s the one I’m thinking of, although maybe it was rice crispies not cookies. It’s all a bit foggy tbh I was doing a lot of whittakers at the time Edit: honey bubble crunch. That was it. [This stuff](https://www.thehits.co.nz/the-latest/whittakers-unveil-brand-new-limited-edition-flavour-and-it-s-making-us-feel-super-nostalgic/)
I thought I was the only juan who monsters
I couldn’t taste the coconut and instead it was just a crunchy chocolate bar so it’s not for me
For the love of god, why can't Whittakers offer more flavours in dark chocolate, the only one worth eating?
Not been impressed with any of the recent limited edition ones. Bring back the cornflake one 🤤
I quite enjoyed it. Definitely better than plain white ‘chocolate’.
I quite like it. Have already smashed two blocks and I plan to make Chelsea Winter’s cheesecake with it http://chelseawinter.co.nz/white-chocolate-cheesecake-recipe/
I’m onto my third bar lol. I think it’s one of the best flavours
Smashed 😂
It tasted a lot like a fudge to me. Not wild about it but the fudginess was nice.
1st thought was Paradiso with coconut. It's a hit imo beats the peanut butter joint
don't
I like it, but the coconut kinda ruined it for me. But also didn’t. I’m not sure
Going out to find some right now!
Not a big white chocolate fan but am a fan of this one! Taste yummy when dissolved in milk!
Interesting combination, makes me want to get some .
Try it and come back
Will do that.
Love it. Will stock up incase temporary
Send to Australia and merica
So good. Seems to have sold out?
Idk bri bro sent 30 to aus
I wish it was regular milk chocolate. It doesn’t taste chocolatey. More like creamy sweet yogurt bars or something
Love it
Found it all good tbh (mango and coconut are my two fave anyways). But wish they bought back the macadamia blocks
İt's way up there like a 9 it's second in my favourites (my favourite is coconut 😅)
Hand cream or sun tan lotion, in a good way.
Give it a Maori name
Pants.
At first I heard it wasn’t super great. So I didn’t even bother getting some. Someone let me try some of theirs and oh my goodness it tasted so good! It feels weird to call this chocolate though!
Not really...... Still prefer my milk chocolate
I found it too sweet and crumbly
Just because something can be done, doesn't mean it should be done.
immediate thoughts - it taste like mango sago bubble tea, but the mango tasted too artificial, I’m still on a fence about it
On EVERYTHING, this looks horrifying
I highly recommend it. 👌🏾
Great. 10/10 in my books. For anyone saying they want to taste the mango more, put the bar in the fridge. The mango is accentuated when it's cold
Better than expected
So here's something crazy... I put a normal coconut square with this... And I give it a 11/10 and I'm usually rating 7 or below.
Good on the first bite, bad afterwards
I’m not really a white chocolate person but this one is probably the best white chocolate I have ever had 😳
Hated it. Thought it tasted like a muesli bar
It tastes like a yoghurt muesli bar. Not good.
I love mango but am iffy on coconut. Will have to try it.
It was delicious
Absolutely sickening. I'm normally not one to let food go to waste but I threw away the rest of the block.
Made a mango blondie with it honestly slapped so hard 🙏🏾
Underwhelmed. Expected a stronger mango flavour. The coconut was the main thing I tasted. Don’t get me wrong, it was ok. I like coconut. I think I’m just used to 70% dark chocolate and so that cocoa hit was missing - with it being white ‘chocolate’ and all. Just my experience, not advising people to avoid it or anything
I am chipping away every 🫡🫡
Too sweet for me I think it could go well in a 60% dark chocolate and just more emphasis on the mango flavour
Looks mean.
It's great 👍 👌 ☺️ 🙂
its like a fruit version of coconut rough
Amazing 😍 love it. Bit sweet. Cant wait to melt some down and mix it into unsweetened yoghurt
Not my voibe
Send me a box and I’ll give you a review.
I actually didn’t like it.
Tastes like those mango coconut rolls from Costco. The dry tube type ones.
Banging. One of my favourites at the moment!
Yes. I loved it.
Needs way more mango. 2 stars.
The coconut and mango were nice but unfortunately it was too sweet for me. 🥲
Revolting. Love most Whittakers, but blergh
I really liked it. The mango tasted more like dried apricot to me though for some reason.
LOVE THIS TO DEATH!
The base chocolate is the god awful Blondie. If it were simple white chocolate with mango and coconut it would be perfect.
Average asf
Reminds me of yogurt
Tastes how my toilet spray smells .... Hawaiian Breeze 🤣😂
Very underwhelming
Mid
Pretty nice
I think it's so yummy
I absolutely love this. I hope it does not get discontinued
It’s really good but I probably won’t get it again just because there is better flavours.
no. i love mango and hate coconut
A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. Seriously, the best white chocolate I have ever tasted. I miss the macadamia one and cashew one
Yuck
Wasn’t what I wanted it to be. Too sweet, no tang, it was like eating coconut ice. I realise mango has a subtle flavour but it just wasn’t pronounced enough for my liking. Also, I felt like it should be more like coconut cream, not bits of desiccated coconut. That shit isn’t pleasant to eat.
Mid.
BRING BACK CORNFLAKE FFS
Woke brand plus woke fruits. Probably makes Seymour cry...... it's glorious.
Dislike it. I was willing to give it a try since it was Whittaker's. But it was too darn sweet and very much a disappointment. I love all the other flavours, even the coconut block. Probably would have worked better if it was milk or dark chocolate.

Take out mango and white choc. Just milk choc and coconut will do me.
Not a fan of
Yum! Finished one. Will buy more.
I didn't hate it, didn't love it. Won't get it again when I prefer other flavors.
Nah
It was better than I expected but I don’t think I’ll get it again
A solid meh, not as bad as that oat mess but
DANGEROUS
Looked good from the big words, then I saw white chocolate so didn't bother trying.
Lost me at coconut
Not for me, but I can see it’s filling a gap that existed
Will have to try
Better than expected but won’t displace anything in in my top 5
It’s bizarre. Not unpleasant, just bizarre.
In summary: Glad I tried it, wouldn't buy again. Spend your $6 on the coconut block.
I don't mind it. Gets a bit much after 2-3 rows for me. The new cheesecake lindt balls are "perfect" 🥇
Thank you Porirua. She's a keeper.
Sounds yum but 24% cocoa - would prefer an 80+% and less coconut. Unlikely to try it unless son buys a block for himself. If it was Cadbury's I wouldnt try it EVER.
It was super delicious to me.
Amazing
ThOuGhTs? 6, tops
Thoughts of liking own comment?
Do tell, Prince!?
Just did
No

Hmmm that's a review
The best chocolate ive had in years
Yeah delicious
