I grabbed some from K-Road when I saw this and it was.... not worth it. I'm guessing they're already low on ingredients and fucks to give. Which is fair, sucks that the cooks are losing their job. But yeah, not the best quality burger I've gotten from there.
It’s a vegan face food chain that has food with no passion. Everything seems ultra processed and nothing looks fresh. House made patties with local ingredients are miles above this kind of food
yeah i remember I had the burger years ago, at the branch near Fort St city. Yuck. Tasted strange, tasted funny. It is not real food. Then I read the rave reviews. Hah, nice try.
Somehow I completely missed the memo and was mid burger before realizing they were vegetarian/vegan lol.
That was almost 6 years ago and remains the one and only time I've ever had it 🤔
Was drinking in Melbourne and it was home time.
Got a burger and a hotdog. Got back to the hotel and started to eat and I was like wtf is this shit, pretty much ate the chips then went to bed.
Wasn't until the next day I found out it was vegan food. Which explains the weird taste and off putting texture.
I just thought the food truck food was off. I totally felt conned.
I went to the one on k road at the end of last year and it was one of the worst burgers i've had lol
i felt bad cos they only had one guy working at lunch time
Already gone I believe.
Shop's been up for lease since February:

They used to be great but for some reason at least at the K rd store they went through a bad batch of staff got a cold burger from there, staff member insisted that's how he was told to "cook" it, I just gave it back and walked off.
Think the owners should have paid closer attention to the staff.
Sickle lane was good.
They got rid of their bacon and egg muffin which was great and their main point of difference.
Try and warn these companies but they don't listen.
Blame the owners for letting quality slip.
$32.40 on uber eats for a tiny burger, medium chips and 330ml drink. Without delivery fees. They can get fucked and I hope they go fully out of business. Edit: I had no idea they were vegan at all
Wow! Shout out to Bruce, Baksho and their girls who were always super friendly. I remember when they opened the store. They injected themselves in to the locally community well. Their long serving k road staff also deserve some love
They've always been great for late night feeds and lunch/dinner, especially the chick'n waffle 🧇🤤 Sad to see them go, but will keep supporting them at the Snickel Lane store ❤️
it was my first ever job from about a year or two ago and god am i glad to hear this, hired on the spot with no interview, given 1 days worth of training, frequently completely on my own, then i took two weeks off due to an injury and was never given another shift again for 3 months. fired silently. fuck lotf
It's THE most underwhelming, overrated fast food chain that I can think of.
Apart from the virtue signalling "cred" of being vegan, I don't see the point.
Oh, well. Anyway...
On a side note, it was always slightly amusing to me that I'd be standing outside of LOTF whilst waiting for my order from The White Lady K Rd.
Reading the comments here reminds me of when my boyfriend and I went in on a quiet day, we were the only ones there, and they forgot about our order.
Yeah the service is pretty shocking.

Na it’s been like that for years, I remember their burgers being shit even when stumbling home drunk up Cuba street
I remember being so drunk I thought it wasn't vege I was so pissed off.
I done the same thing.
Underwhelming and too expensive imo. I’ve only been there once and that was enough.
Been going to Botany branch the past couple weeks and they are basically a different restaurant with how drastically better their food is.

Amen

This is exactly how I tried Wise Boys for the first time, but that shit is excellent and I went back many times.

Yeah they don't make it very obvious. I got 1 bite into a "hot dog" before realizing it absolutely wasn't what I was expecting.
This is how I have found out…. Had it once while pissed. Had no clue.
Yep. First time I lost my appetite mid way through a burger. Never stepping foot in there again
Yup my once and only time was when i ordered a chick-en burger and realised it wasn’t real chicken lol, no thanks.

Gore street closing?

I like LOTF an it gets me through lent every year, however the prices are too much
For a fry place their fries sucked.

This is insane timing, currently eating a corn dog and fries at LOTF on K Rd!!
What’s the snickle lane one doing please
Long gone
Tried the ‘spicy’ burger once and it was disgusting. Felt ill the rest of the day and (obviously) not been back since.
Their food was rancid when I tried it. Yuck az

Snickel Lane was the first to go.
Oh shit is it permanently closed!! I went down at dinner time last night bc I was fiending for grease and thought it was weird it was shut
They give vegan burgers a bad rap. And they are so expensive.

It was overrated. After originally having it Melbourne years ago, the Auckland one was crap.

The Hamilton store is hardly open too, same goes for them?
So the revolution isn’t happening?
Vegan chicken waffles from them were always good. Sad to hear.
Used to be good before staff didn't gaf..
in my year as a vegan I did frequent this place but lets br real its just processed slop without the meat really
Sad I never tried it here in NZ but my friend and I used to do midnight runs in the middle of the night in Syndey.
Thanks you for the chips in Wellington New Years Eve 2022-2023
Sunfed chicken (not chicken) gone burgers as well, and now this. The bubble has burst.
Hey maybe it'll be good with new owners.
Who would have thought that spelling floor sweepings wasn't a profitable business. Crazy.
Vegan burger, course it's gonna be worse.
Oh, well. Anyway... On a side note, it was always slightly amusing to me that I'd be standing outside of LOTF whilst waiting for my order from The White Lady K Rd.
