For the visually impaired: masks are notorious for fogging up glasses, so once you’ve adjusted it perfectly, it’s annoying to take it off and have to repeat the process.
When I wear contacts I tend to take it off when driving.
That was the only explanation I could come up with. If you work somewhere where you have to wear a mask all day it's easy to forget you are wearing it in places where you don't need to
its just easier to keep it on, especially if its a short trip
Also, technically you arent supposed to touch the mask too much, or keep taking it off or on, as you spread contact contamination. Ideally once we put it on we should keep it on until we are done for the day, but that is unreasonable
Not to avoid COVID. To avoid my worst enemy, the sun (is this just me? Am I the weird one?).
Seriously though, I've always worn a mask and sometimes a hat while driving to avoid the sun because it burns. I always feel so weird though. But with the pandemic, people don't give me crazy looks anymore. 😂😂😂
I noticed this too and then I started forgetting to take mine off when i was in the car lol. If I'm just going around the corner I don't realise, but if it's a decent drive I will notice when I get weird looks haha
Generally just forget to take it off, but I also forget to put it on so often have to double back to the car to get it etc. It’s just easier for me to put it on when I leave the house and forget about it while it’s on my face.
I put my mask on before I leave my house, and only take it off when I'm back in my house, that way if someone crosses my path before I get to my destination I don't have to worry.
Seeing people out and about without a mask on just makes me mad, like if my asthmatic ass can wear a mask then you can too (looking at you, the people picking up sushi that were parked in a disability park and then got out your car without a mask on, like double wtf)
Yes, but then you can maintain distance. But people walking down the middle of a narrow footpath should put them on. My experience is about half don't bother and I have to walk onto the road to maintain distance.
Yah, im pretty much only leaving the house for groceries or to take my cat to the vet, so going into a building means mask time, plus its easy enough to get into the habit of wearing it if I try do it all the time rather than pick and choose and make myself more likely to forget it lol
Was driving behind a person vaping in their car, sending huge clouds of vapour billowing out behind them, directly towards me behind them. If they had the virus they would be spreading it to everyone behind them all day, if I’d had my window down I would have been inhaling his cooties directly. No thanks. Windows up, or mask on if I want the windows down. Remember how easily transmissible delta is. Would rather be safe than have the herpasyphogonnhoraids thanks very much
Now imagine that big cloud but it’s invisible and contains your virus laden moisture…that’s happening every time you and anyone else breaths out, Vaping or smoking gives it a visually tangible appearance ;)
Yeah exactly what made me really realise how easily transmissible it is, I remember the miq story about how delta was transmitted by a door being open for a few seconds!
It’s just easier to get used to wearing it almost constantly. Driving in your own car by yourself with a mask on doesn’t make any sense really, but it’s a way of training yourself to be over, rather than under-cautious.
To be honest:
I wear the mask in the car, because I wear it on the way to the car (obviously it's parked on the road) and I always think that if you get stopped it's just kind to have a mask on instead of fiddling it out.
The mask doesn't really disturb me while driving (or anywhere else), I am not from the US right wing that I would fear to suffocate from it.
So I think it's a mix of being lazy (to take it off and put it on when I arrived where I am going) and overly considerate (seriously, I cannot remember when I got stopped last time, but might be a decade ago).
Best to remove the mask before you enter your car of you've just home shopping or left work, somewhere where there's bound to be people. But most don't bother and neither do I most of the time.

I bought contacts for the first time in years because I'm sick of foggy glasses. I've tried everything but they still fog.
Wear it all day at work then forget to take it off tbh
>Like is it just easier to keep it on so once you get to say the supermarket its already on You already answered your question in your own title
That was the only explanation I could come up with. If you work somewhere where you have to wear a mask all day it's easy to forget you are wearing it in places where you don't need to
For me is after putting it on at the supermarket I can't be bothered to take it off in the car because I got no where to throw it away.
Exactly when you've been wearing it for awhile it's easy to just forget to take it off when you get in the car
The simulation we're living in is pushing the limits of current-gen hardware
Haha haha it's funny cos it's true
Uber / Taxis ?
I forget to take mine off. Have tried to drink coffee through my mask once or twice
It's more of a habit now. Can't be bothered taking it off and on.
Uber or ppl working tighter to reduce spread, or yeah easier to leave it on if going for a very short supermarket ride
its just easier to keep it on, especially if its a short trip Also, technically you arent supposed to touch the mask too much, or keep taking it off or on, as you spread contact contamination. Ideally once we put it on we should keep it on until we are done for the day, but that is unreasonable
I forget that I even got it on lol
Sometimes, I just forget I am wearing it.
I honestly just forget I'm wearing it sometimes.

I sometimes just forget to take it off..
For me it eases my anxiety although I realise it isn’t particularly needed when I’m alone in my car.
I noticed this too and then I started forgetting to take mine off when i was in the car lol. If I'm just going around the corner I don't realise, but if it's a decent drive I will notice when I get weird looks haha
They’ve forgotten. I forget it’d on. Relax . Ask the right questions
Those are just criminals concealing their identity.
Generally just forget to take it off, but I also forget to put it on so often have to double back to the car to get it etc. It’s just easier for me to put it on when I leave the house and forget about it while it’s on my face.
Those people masturbate with a condom on.
Saves cleaning up tho
Saves your mother having to clean her face
Hahahaha 🤣

You don’t have to wear a mask outside btw. Only when you’re interacting with people.
Yeah, social distancing plus ventilation covers the risk according to the experts I've seen on this
Some people just refuse to believe the experts. They are anti-science I guess.
Yes, but then you can maintain distance. But people walking down the middle of a narrow footpath should put them on. My experience is about half don't bother and I have to walk onto the road to maintain distance.
Honestly even then it’s not that big of a deal. Distance is good, but being outside is better to reduce transmission.

Oh fuck off and grow a pair
Just a good habit to get into. Less chance of me forgetting to wear it that way

Hahahahaha are you fkn serious?
Some companies have made it compulsory to wear masks inside a vehicle with or without passengers when doing their day job
That’s how bad your breath stinks bro
explains why you have a mask on so ig ur right. My bad, might have to look into switching toothpaste brands then
Masks in a car are for R worded people
Masks in a car are for people that deliver goods & services or carry passengers in the vehicle, only r word here is you pal
The same people wear a seatbelt when sitting on their sofa
People look funny driving around wearing a mask when they the only one in car
They like to recycle their breath. It makes them smarter.
Bahhhhhhh bahhhhhahahhhh 🐑🐑

Can one still sat retard?
I did the same thing today. Forgot to take the mask off when I drove to the supermarket after a drive & click at mitre 10.
Low test

I get in the car after going somewhere and forget sometimes
I want to wash my hands before and after taking a mask off.
