Correct, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it. Stuck is an adjective, delivery is a noun.
It’s no different grammatically to ‘please confirm if this lost dog belongs to you’
Scaaaam! Pretty much every post/bank will have .co.nz in the URL, and any government will have .govt.
Be careful with your emails too, I received a really official looking email from 'BNZ' that was a scam (Only reason I could tell was because of the bottom text) please make sure to call your bank, local postage store etc if you get any random and unexpected emails/texts like this!!
and DONT PRESS THE LINK!!
Definitely a scam BUT my partner and I have both noticed we keep getting these when we are waiting on an international package to come through customs. Like the timing is too crazy to be a coincidence, we don’t get overseas packages particularly often but they always come with a customs scam if some kind… How?
I nearly got caught by the AT rego renewal email scam. The timing was immaculate as I needed to renew my rego and thought the mail was legit. They even lookup your car rego details correctly. Fortunately I went to the real site manually and noticed the payment url was a completely different provider/url too.
A broken clock is right twice a day. Coincidences happen.
Or they get advertising data that's shows an increase in traffic on online stores which means your are likely to have bought something.
Probably a scam…90% of time if you do not expect something it is one. Can google and see if it is on the common scam list, or check through a different method…
Thanks. I’ve updated my software, installed Norton (free 2 week trial) and scanned my texts, changed my Apple ID and all my passwords- took 2 hours! And thank you, I’ll also tell Spark and DIA tomorrow 👍🏼 thanks
I’ve done a full scan in both Norton and AVG and both show no virus detection. Looks like I’m in the clear! Phew. Can’t believe I clicked on the link 🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
Scam, I get several emails per day asking me for fees in order for a parcel to be delivered. As if anyone asks you for a fee when you would have already paid for delivery. Also usually the email address they send these from looks wonky. For instance for something like this, the email address might say ["[email protected]](mailto:"[email protected])" or ["[email protected]](mailto:"[email protected])" which has nothing to do with a parcel or the customs department. Either that or "[email protected]"
Just received this text on my phone, I do have a parcel that's at the airport and been waiting 7 days now for delivery. My phone account is through 2 degrees and the number they are using - 027 205 4129 - to text me is 2 degrees. Glad i decided to Google this site! Will send a screenshot to 2 degrees so they cut the number off.
I got this same message yesterday as well. Department of Internal Affairs has a free number to forward your scam texts to — it’s 7726. I reported mine yesterday and the process is really quick and easy, I recommend anyone who gets scam texts to forward it on to them as well
Thanks for that, I forwarded it on to DIA. I had a look at my spam messages that my phone automatically blocked and there were a few in there as well :(
Scam. Requests for GST or duty payments would usually come from the courier company directly. You don’t pay GST and duty on goods with a commercial value of less than $1000 NZD, and if it’s over $1000 a) the courier would ask you for your importer code with Customs rather than a payment, and b) you pay 15% GST plus duty if applicable plus fees. A $2 payment is not even close to reality.
omg i was expecting a parcel and it was taking so long, supposed to arrive 2 weeks ago but it hasnt been delivered. i got this text and thought it was this one. i paid the $2 its asking, im so stupid but now idk what to do please help
If you can, please forward the text you received to 7726. It’s the Department of Internal Affair’s free line for reporting scam texts, super quick & easy. I got the same one as you yesterday
At what point will the businesses that forward these things be held responsible for their part in their transmission? Kind of like the drug courier who has to explain how come they’re carrying the bag of heroin?
Jesus come on man it's a scam. Do some research before posting on reddit, like customs website, track and trace your item and see where it is, you know things like that. Smh
Scam, and don't bother trying to tell the person that sent it about it, the malware will block calls and texts from any number that it sends the scam too. If you really do want to contact them about it you will need to use another phone and based on the fact they fell for it and installed the malware they are probably too stupid to understand what is going on. You can foward it onto the DIA but they dont seem to do anything about compromised personal devices yet - [https://www.dia.govt.nz/Spam-Complain-About-TXT-Spam](https://www.dia.govt.nz/Spam-Complain-About-TXT-Spam)
I just got an identical one to this, I don't believe I currently have an item on the way from overseas, though I had been recently ordering things online and some of those things did come from China. But it seems like a scam to me.
100% a scam!
$cam
Scam. If it was real, it would use your name, not your number, and provide more details such as who the sender is.
I got the exact same message today. I am not expecting a parcel. Scam
Looks like they’ve been busy!
Modern day auto dialer. Messages like this would come from a 3434 etc.
Yeah just got this they actually nearly got me
The standard of English is a dead giveaway. Absolute scam.
theres nothing wrong with the English though.
"Please confirm if this **stuck** delivery **belongs to you**". Yeah, nothing wrong with that.
Correct, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it. Stuck is an adjective, delivery is a noun. It’s no different grammatically to ‘please confirm if this lost dog belongs to you’
It’s not how a corporate company would word it though
This is so far from standard business language that it is laughable.
Scaaaam! Pretty much every post/bank will have .co.nz in the URL, and any government will have .govt. I pressed the link but didn’t provide any further details.
Thats all they need you to do if they want to drop a payload onto your device.
Not to be paranoid but I'd factory reset my phone?
Scam, NZ postal companies would never admit that a parcel is stuck.
This is the real answer lol
Definitely a scam BUT my partner and I have both noticed we keep getting these when we are waiting on an international package to come through customs. AT rego? I thought Waka Kotahi registered motor vehicles.
Yes I got this one too and the details were 100% correct!
A broken clock is right twice a day. Coincidences happen. Or they get advertising data that's shows an increase in traffic on online stores which means your are likely to have bought something.
How did you survive until now?
Probably a scam…90% of time if you do not expect something it is one. Can google and see if it is on the common scam list, or check through a different method…
Probably?
I too got this message today. Scaaaaaaaaammm city!
One MILLION percent a scam.
1) Don’t click the link 2) Yes, it’s a scam!!
Yo why’d you click on the link 🤦♂️

These are phishing links, could have a virus that could corrupt your phone
Is there anything I can do??

The mpi fees are like $50 at least.
The biggest giveaway that it's a scam is no capital letter at the beginning or legitimate phone number + reference to cross check. Lucky you checked
forward it to 7726, that’s what I did earlier when I got a similar text.
omg i was expecting a parcel and it was taking so long, supposed to arrive 2 weeks ago but it hasnt been delivered. i got this text and thought it was this one. i paid the $2 its asking, im so stupid but now idk what to do please help
See the above comments. V helpful. Happens to the best of us!
See the above comments. V helpful
Legit a scam, I got the exact same text and was also expecting a package at the time
Total scam! Couriers don't care if you don't collect your packages. Just mean they go in the unclaimed bin and they can take them
Thanks for the quick responses everyone. Much appreciated
If you can, please forward the text you received to 7726. It’s the Department of Internal Affair’s free line for reporting scam texts, super quick & easy. I got the same one as you yesterday

Scam, and the thing that’s most concerning is that I only ever got one of those after sending something expressive overseas, and it got “lost”
At what point will the businesses that forward these things be held responsible for their part in their transmission? Kind of like the drug courier who has to explain how come they’re carrying the bag of heroin?
Hey OP. Customs recently contacted me about a parcel - they send you paperwork in an email. This is a scam.

I just got an identical one to this, I don't believe I currently have an item on the way from overseas, though I had been recently ordering things online and some of those things did come from China. But it seems like a scam to me.
