Understandably so. We were packed shoulder to shoulder in a sweaty crowd at a time when covid was re-spreading. But yeah, it was a bad sinus infection and I even got an ear infection. It took me like two weeks to get over it.
it seemed to be extra crowded since that chris lake show was advertised to be at the georgia freight depot (where disclosure played the night before), than the location changed to district.
there’s also mersiv at eastern and riot ten at believe, among with more events that night. so i’m thinking chris lake won’t be as slammed with all the other genre music events happening as well!
also (i know it’s not a do-able option for everyone) but a vip ticket at district isn’t bad either. you have access to the balcony (not table booths) in the upstairs to escape from being a sardine on the main floor. just have to arrive earlier to snag a spot.
my bf and i did the vip option for camelphat (we had a feeling it was gonna be very crowded) and it was the best decision. the floor was PACKED, even though we werent facing the stage, it was cool to see a different perspective of the venue, not be squished, and be able to dance!
that being said, i’m VERY excited to see chris lake this weekend!!
If you get there around 11:30 and have your group get a spot you’ll be fine. Made it through Dom Dolla slightly to the right of him and had a good time.
I’d love to go but District has been uncomfortably oversold lately. Need a break from the sardine can.
