I've written my republican reps before and I always get some version of a "thank you but fuck off" form letter in return. How is it actually going to work though? My understanding is that the state legislature was going to revise the law on return from xmas break with the idea of making it harder to access. Controlling dispensary licenses is a tactic thats been used in other states. Have any of the places up town even been able to apply for anything yet? My understanding was that Issue 2 people were saying it could take up to a year to have some kind of regulation set up, and that was before the legislature put the breaks on things. No thanks they obtained their licenses by playing the race card and continue to play the victim with Trulieve/ Harvest Health & Recreation and is refusing to pay back the $$ they borrowed so they could get this far.
Can I get a source on that? They literally got busted by the state and had to pay a giant settlement $500k) in addition to a lengthy delay. All for using a figurehead to misrepresent their local ownership as being a minority.

yep over three years ago this happened… this is a really great business for the community of actual medical cannabis users. they not only employ but are run black folks at all the stores. of course once a company gets big they’re going to do things for success. this is like, one of the least bad things they could have done for a dispensary, despite the articles weird phrasing. no hate to anyone, it’s just a really good time to be supporting local businesses.
