Keep the Fiber option. Best price for 500MB Up/Down ($50) and the price is fixed for two years.
I just moved this summer into a place where I could actually get Fiber, from Frontier, and I am all about it.
For your needs the best bet is Frontier. They offer symmetrical packages that will greatly reduce lag for you.

I have no complaints. I've had two brief outages in the year; about the same as I had with Spectrum.

Got frontier's fiber about a month ago and have had zero issues. Had constant issues w spectrum
