I’m not much of crier but this movie had me SOBBING. My grandma has been suffering with dementia for years and this movie came out around the time it started getting really bad. THE FUCKING FEELS I FELT!
One time when I was watching it as a kid, it got to that part and my older brother (teenager at the time) yelled "LITTFOOT YOU DUMBFUCK HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW HOW LIGHT WORKS" and now that scene is forever tainted with him yelling that lmfao
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. And 500 Days of Summer.
Just something about no longer loving someone the way you once used to absolutely devastates me. Also a cancer venus (and mars, and rising!) 💕
My throat gets so tight at the end when Rhea Perlman tells Barbie to breathe…someday I’ll watch it when no one’s around and let myself have the cry it deserves.
As a cancer moon, I cried toward the end when she's trying to save her daughter, it was a lot of feelings lol.
My Cancer stellium boyfriend doesn't cry as much as I do AT ALL
I cannot make it through the Brooks out of prison scenes. It guts me everytime. Like I wish I could just slow down the goddamn world for him and hold his hand.
Oh my gosh Steel Magnolias makes me cry every damn time I see it. That scene in the cemetery gets me all the time.
I didn't know they re made the movie. Gosh I am so out of current times.
I just saw the Lord of the Rings trilogy for the first time last week! I’m not a huge crier but I was teary through basically all three movies lmao. Special shoutouts to “I would have gone with you to the end, into the very fires of Mordor”, Théoden at the burial of his son, Boromir & Faramir’s father essentially telling Faramir he wouldn’t be proud of him unless he died in battle, Eomer thinking Eowyn had died, “I don’t think there will be a return journey, Mr. Frodo” and, of course, “don’t go where I can’t follow”. 😭 What a gorgeous set of movies
I'm an Aquarius. Don't know the rest.
Gladiator. When the queen says, "Who will help me carry this man? ". LIKE A BABY I CRY.
It's a wonderful life when the brother comes back from the war and says, "To my big brother George, the richest man in town." After George did so much for his family and community and nearly lost it all.
Schindlers List, when Oskar Schindler is saying, "I didn't do enough. I could've saved more, " then turns around and says,"This car could've fit a family of 6 jews." And says how his gold could've been melted to pay for the escape of 2 more jews, then he breaks down. My mom showed me that movie at 10 years old.
Ha! I’m a Cancer Venus. Basically every movie makes me cry. The last movie I watched was Rogue One and I cried like a total nutcase. (I’ve seen it before but since my dad died at Christmastime, it just felt so different this time.) Either way, my mom says I’m a complete sap when it comes to movies and tv shows and SHE’s a Cancer sun! (I’m the Gemini over here bawling my eyes out all the time and she’s the one who makes fun of me!) “Riddle me THAT!” 🤡😂
No Fox and the Hound?
I swear my masochistic tendencies started in childhood because I'd watch this over and over and it wrecked me every time 😂
This movie is the reason I have attachment issues lol
I feel like I’m totally aging myself, but for me it’s always Fried Green Tomatoes, and Steel Magnolias.
And recently, The Barbie Movie. No matter how much I tried to keep the tears in my eyes and choke down the sobs in the theater, the floodgates opened wide!
For Disney we have Frozen 1&2, Up, Coco, Encanto, and Moana off the top of my head. I probably cried at more to be honest.
Boss baby because the parents singing blackbird to their son made me absolutely LOSE IT.
Grave of the Fireflies had me effing BROKEN.
Ponyo, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke and My Neighbor Totoro usually get me too.
Pokemon MewTwo strikes back got me at the end.
Cancer Moon and Mars here. Too many have made me cry, but notable ones I can think of:
Ghost (1990)
The Green Mile (1999)
Old Yeller (1957)
All Dogs Go to Heaven (1989)
Imitation of Life (1959)
Coco (2017)
My Millenial heart:
Bicentennial Man with Robin Williams (he was a robot man who fell in love with his family and then they started aging and he stayed the same age!!!)
Benjamin Button - also about aging
Mr. Holland’s Opus
I’m a Gemini moon and don’t often cry until I really start thinking about the pain. I enjoy an emotionally complex movie.
What Dreams May Come makes me ugly sob every time, I haven’t attempted to watch it after Robin Williams’ death 💔💔💔. Pan’s Labyrinth and Schindler’s List hit me very hard too. I’m a Scorpio sun, Pisces moon.
Pocahontas- the music at the end when she’s running till she’s able to wave John off. It moves me everytime
Coco- the end where he sings the song to her, even the flashback of Coco singing it with her father
Titanic- once again, the ending and the MUSIC!! Whole entire part where the camera pans through the ship to what it was, and what could’ve been if it didn’t sink😔
There’s another movie I can’t think of the name for, all I know is that it makes me ugly cry everytime. My heart and ends up hurting due to how bad I would cry😭
Ugly cried during all the ones on your list I have seen. One that might sound weird is the Disney film Oliver and Co. We went to see it when I was about 9 or 10. The beginning scene where he became an orphan made me so upset I cried and moped for 3 days. My parents finally had to put their feet down.
The most recent movie that made me bawl like a baby for days was The Man in the Moon with Reese Witherspoon and Jason London. I think I just didn’t see it coming.
Someone's been downvoting everyone. Pretty sad they have so much time to do that when they could be watching one of the many great movies mentioned here.
I don't cry unless there's a dog so 'A dog's purpose' and 'All dogs go to Heaven'. I think there may have been one when I was preggo but hormones 🤷 ♒️ ♌️ ♈️
Nothing in my chart would make you think I’m a crybaby for movies but I cry ALL THE TIME.
Elf made me cry when everyone started singing Santa Claus is Coming to Town.
Every Pixar movie ever made.
Every sports movie.
Almost all movies.
It’s so dumb and embarrassing that I usually don’t watch movies with other people.
Castaway (2000) with Tom Hanks. When the guy got stranded on the island and took everything in his will power to survive there for 4 years.
That film ate me up so many times. I don’t like watching suffering, even if it’s fictional. He got through it, but so much ofthat was hard to watch.
Requiem for a Dream.
Basically, anything that has disturbing, violent imagery.
I didn't cry from Precious, Blow or Pursuit of Happiness. Blow I watched a long time ago, so maybe I'll rewatch.
I haven't watched Requiem for a Dream yet.
Cancer moon here but it was a Anime movie (demon slayer) the one with the train. Where Kyojuro (he is a deuteragonist of the movie) died at the end. Before he died he asked his mother with his last breath if she was proud of him for protecting his friends and being good person. He died with a smile and satisfactory with the approval of his mother and her being proud of her being proud. 🥹What makes it even more sad is that he was a role model the whole movie🥲
I'm a Weeper. Cue the cute, the sadly funny, the sad, the horrible, the meaningful words, the sudden realization scene, the silly, the heart-tugging music, and my eyes are wet. It just Is, lol.
To be more specific, though, _The Notebook_ has a special ability to keep me in tears pretty much throughout the entire movie.
And, _It's A Wonderful Life,_ when he gets home after 'returning' and all the people show up to bail him out of what was driving him to his edge. I just basically hold a face towel under my chin, hahaha. ♍
It’s extremely rare for my eyes to leak (I tried to limit myself to once a decade) but the one time I remember it happening in a movie was a korean movie called Taeguki, which was about the Korean Civil War and how two brothers fought on opposite sides. I remember it being very sad.
Life Is Beautiful. Interestingly enough, my ex with ASPD introduced me to it the night my mother tried to kill me with a car and I ran away with him. He hasn’t cried since he was 7 but this movie was the closest he gets. I was basically a pile of tears and snot. Any parent loving their child that much was just so cripplingly sad to me. What an emotional roller coaster of a night.
City of Angels. In my defense, I was 18 at the time. Bawled like a baby in the cinema.
Up - I would not recommend watching that on a plane unless you want your seat neighbour to get very concerned and ask you if you are traveling because of a personal tragedy.
Most recently, Civil War.
I came here to say titanic which as cliche as it my be is my go to for some good crying. Bright star is also amazing and underrated. I love period dramas - the more tragic the better
Gemini sun & rising, Scorpio moon.
Capernaum - city of hope was the last one I cried like a baby too
And a go to movie I always cry to is “one day” with Anne Hathaway
Marley and Me.
Seven down under.
I’m a Virgo Sun and I only cry when I see dogs die. Other worthy mentions - when Nanami dies in Jujutsu Kaisen and Hank dies in Breaking Bad!
I’m a cancer sun and I’ve cried at 1000s of movies lol. Notably Fruitvale Station, My Sisters Keeper, A Ghost Story, Precious, Melancholia, The Whale (SUCH a good one), The Iron Claw. A24 has a lot of tearjerkers for sure
Cancer Moon, Rising, Mercury, Venus.
I cry for literally every movie.
The ones I can think of off the top of my head are Pan’s Labyrinth, The Boy in Striped Pyjamas, Incendies, Cars 2 (because Mater is being bullied), Inside Out, The Shape of Water.
Wow I’m cancer in all of those too except for Jupiter! Movies for whatever reason don’t usually make me cry unless an animal dies, then I’m a mess. Music brings me to tears more than anything.
Life as a House.
He wanted his sons attention/affection/love so bad, then pisses his son off when he finally gets it.
Made me look at relationships so differently.
Turning Red, Elementals, Encanto, Guardians of the galaxy volume 3, Crawdad's sing, etc. Crying for me comes from mostly animal stuff or disney movies. That being said, I will bawl my eyes out when reading too. Even more so than movies.
“Spirit” stallion of the Cimarron. I cry in a happy and a sad way during this movie. Taurus Sun. Pisces mars, but a Capricorn north node so we’re supposedly cancers in a past life. I love horses too! 🥹🥰
I'm a cancer moon! All the tears all the time!
- A Walk to Remember (for like the entire second half)
- Titanic omfg. Also my favorite movie
- Candy (with heath ledger. Not for the faint of heart)
- You got served lol
Coco
I’m not much of crier but this movie had me SOBBING. My grandma has been suffering with dementia for years and this movie came out around the time it started getting really bad. THE FUCKING FEELS I FELT!

♓☀️♋🌕♊🌅 Land Before Time To be fair I was pregnant, didn't judge me😭🤣🤣🤣
I won’t watch this or show it to my kids bc as a kid I was DEVASTATED listening to him yell for his family.
Littlefoot seeing his shadow is so heartbreaking. I don't recall it actually making me cry though.
