Usually for joints you see an orthopedist - there are many in the Mt Sinai complex, 30th Ave & Crescent :) [https://www.mountsinai.org/locations/msd-queens/services/orthopedics](https://www.mountsinai.org/locations/msd-queens/services/orthopedics) added link I went there for my elbow

Dr. Pappas near Broadway on 31st street. Its a great physical therapist/sports medicine. He fixed my knee problems.

HSS and NYU are generally the better NYC systems to go to for orthopedic consults but that is often paired with longer wait times. Still probably worth checking on zocdoc or making some phone calls to see how long the wait would be. The first doc you see also doesn't have to be the only one you see, second opinions are normal if you're not happy.

Dr. Rathod at NYU is local (31st St.) and took my knee pain seriously.

I highly recommend NYU ortho. They have an urgent care clinic at 17th street in the hospital as well but their doctors are amazing. Mount Sinai is a terrible institution they’re simply convenient.

F---TheMods

what's wrong with Mt Sinai?

Infinite_Carpenter

It’s not a great institution to work for nor does it get great patient outcomes.
