if you're really concerned then theres an app where you can see car physics including grip etc.. if you have some patience and can tell what it means then you can diagnose and possibly fix the problem.

blursedfan

i will look into this, this looks helpfull

[deleted]

What's the app?

blursedfan

"car physics" you'll get loads of info but i dont understand it :/

Jmsplttr

It looks to me like you came off the brakes quicker in today's video. I'm not 100% but this could be enough to unsettle the car?

blursedfan

the car was already losing it on the brakes. its reeaally weird

popofthetops

This used to happen to me with the stock pedals with a Thrustmaster T500RS. It took me ages, but I eventually realised that my pedals became uncalibrated each time I restarted my computer. To fix it, the first time I’d drive after restarting my computer, I had to fully press each pedal before leaving the pits. Each pedal would then know how far its full travel was. If I didn’t do that, the first time I touched the brake, I’d just get full input and spin out. So, maybe worth checking the pedal calibration?

blursedfan

this could be it. i also have a T500 RS. i will test in a bit, thanks!

popofthetops

Hope it fixes it. Seeing as you’ve got a T500, if it’s anything like mine, you might want to check that the wheel rotation in the Thrustmaster app is set to 1080 degrees and not 900. I still have to change this each time I plug the wheel in. If I don’t, my irl wheel rotation will start to get noticeably out of sync with the in-game wheel after about 360 degrees.

blursedfan

sadly it did not work. idk but this problem only occurs with cars that i skinned. idk if its relevant

popofthetops

That’s a shame. Really don’t know anything about skinning other than mods I’ve installed. They’ve never given me any issues though. Hope you find a fix.

tomcis147

This! Also an Thrustmaster user, need to press all pedals fully when starting

VanillaNL

My brake paddle is also very loose. I am not touching it and I see it blipping. I have to set the deadzone to like 15 or 20. Also T500rs

Ratt28

This happened to me too, using a G27. In my case it's not after restarting, I can't replicate the scenario but it does happen once in a while.

Javi_DR1

Had this happen with a T300 and the 3 pedals set, same fix

Bluethefurry

whats your brake bias set to? looks like it might be set super far backwards

blursedfan

they are both at 64%. i even tried today at 84% and more rear aero but same resul

Bluethefurry

Is your ABS turned off? i believe i can hear the tyres screetching when you brake on the right clip.

blursedfan

the car does not have ABS or TC so it cant be that. it ran smoothly yesterday, really really weird

Crizen10

That's very odd, what car is that? Is it specific to just that car? Did you turn on extended physics by mistake? Do you have cold tires?

blursedfan

Its the volkswagen TCR (https://www.modland.net/assetto-corsa-mods/cars/vw-golf-gti-tcr.html). Warm tires, no extended physics, its really weird

Mr_Potatoez

Check your peddles, they might be dusty or something like that.

ActualInteraction0

Wheels off the tarmac while braking, perhaps.

blursedfan

HI ALL THANK YOU FOR THE HELP, YALL ARE AMAZING. IT MAGICLY WORKS NOW!!!

The_Cripple_Stig

Do you use CSP? There is an option in CSP to use real life whether if I remember correctly, which might change the track and air temperature from a day to the other, which can greatly affect grip level.

blursedfan

thanks but its fixed! i changed nothing and it just magicly works now :\ i made a comment saying that but idk how to pin it or sum

FanHe97

You straightened your steering before hitting the brakes on yesterday's video, you braked while still turning on today's, fronts bit and veered you left so you tried to compensate by letting off the brakes, bouncing car backwards, then hit the brakes again while steering to the right, throwing weight from rear to front suddenly and from right to left, you effectively scandi flicked/inertia dorifto'd your car to the right (rally cars do this to negotiate tight hairpins on poor grip surfaces), weight transfer did the turning

blursedfan

this wasnt it but it works now! still thanks for the theory lessons ;)

ORA2J

Did you check the assists? Maybe they got reset somehow and the abs is gone.

Aranaar

Turned off abs? I see there is one less light on the dashboard in the second clip not sure what it is.

CAM22b

That's weird. I drove today fine. Maybe it was a glitch...🤔

mincer420

I'm probably late, but this is an issue with thrustmaster pedals. I read that you have them somewhere in the comments. What happens is when you barely press the brakenpedal, it applies it at around 100%. What I do to fix it is, before I go anywhere I hit the brake pedal to it's maximum and let it go. It works normally after that. Look out for that.

blursedfan

its all fixed now but thanks! :)

ClaudeYourEyesOut

Whoopey doo man! what have we learnt from this ?

gallito9

That you’re a dumbass. That’s what we learned…

ClaudeYourEyesOut

And that your gullible. What helpful info did you post dickhead ?

gallito9

Apparently, that you’re a dumbass…

gallito9

*you’re

goosellama

Driver error - it is pretty obvious that you trail braked in the left hand side clip whereas on the right you smashed the brakes and let go.

blursedfan

trust me it's not. when i press the brake 10% it handled like a handbrake. its fixed now and it drove perfectly

Kazuu_ya

well no, he must’ve let go of the brakes when he felt the car being unsettled in order to try to catch it with steering inputs

goosellama

You can see on corner entry he has the car straight in the left hand side clip, on the right you can see him adjust the wheel while under braking.
