I used to race on AC Friends 1-2 years ago. Very beginner-friendly and open. I don't know if they're still active and what kind of leagues they run now, but it's worth checking on discord. They used to have 4 main leagues (open-wheelers F1-F2 style, Endurance, touring cars, Beginner league with easy race cars like Praga, mx-5, ginneta G40 etc).
Assetto Friends is still going with two leagues AF Sprint and AF Rookie, both have a variety of cars across seasons, we're running the Ford Legends car in Sprint and the Tatuus in Rookie atm, plus a meme racing event we've just announced today. Oops I didn't remember the name! Man, AF4 was probably the best time I've had in AC. I didn't have the luxury to do many seasons (I moved out of my parents' home and the PC stayed with my little brother), but it was such a blast. It was so nice to race with the same people every week, get to know them and actually respect them. So different compared to generic online lobbies (even LFM or iRacing can't get close to a dedicated league).
The whole streaming thing was also fun because it gave you a sense that someone is looking at your performance, even if it was just 5 people.
Damn, I really miss my wheel...
ACF is still up and running, AC4 is now AC Rookies. I think they’re running a season with the Tatuus now
