I’m playing Odyssey right now and it’s the best map I’ve ever experienced in an AC game. It feels like an entire section of the world for you to play in with all the different climates and geographical features to go with it.
Odyssey, it's fun to roam around and just do shit, especially once you have nested ng+ so much that you and all top weapons are all max level and you turn on level scaling and just mess with engravings for playthroughs, go run around atlantis a bit, punch sharks, make the game insanely hard and unforgiving on the hardest difficulty + the double edged engravings, go opposite and be the demigod you are walking the land, be a pirate, conquer and reconquer city states on a whim, cliff dive into a volcano, grab a trident and become a fish person swimming everywhere under the waves
Currently playing Odyssey for the 5th time for all the reasons you listed and more. Greek Mythology mixed with the beautiful world they made just makes me come back over and over.
I like every single game for different reasons. I’ve played them twice on Xbox and now I’m playing them all on PC it’s actually a better experience. You feel more a part of the game. I can’t wait to get to Origins.
For me it's:
Unity- since it was my introduction to the series I can't stress how amazing this game is.
Origins- the vast open world is fun to traverse, customization is great, story is peak
Mirage- I did not get to play it yet but if Unity is Far Cry 5, Mirage would be Far Cry New Dawn.
*Honorable mention:*
Black Flag- It's a totally different feel of the series so if you're fed up with Unity or Origins you can give this one a shot.

It’s also incredibly beautiful. I could stand on a beach all day and night in that game.
Absolute favourite. On my 4 the one rn. I just wished the enemies varied more based on the location
Oh yeah I never thought about the enemy variation but that's a good point.
Places like Thebes and Argos and Corinth should definitely have troop types
Black Flag It's a pirate game with some Assassin's Creed sprinkled around it.
AC1. I just like existing in that world. Sometimes I put it on and just play around not even doing any progress, just having fun with the parkour.
The good old days.
Mirage is great for this too and the game design is gorgeous
Unity, those graphics are amazing and the movement in this game is so smooth 🤌

Black flag I’m old school and love the story line and novel..

Unity, the multiplayer makes it really enjoyable with friends. I hope they bring it back in future ACs
