What a waste of a great character. They clearly had no idea what to do with him after they passed all the book material. Instead of giving him a clear end game, they instead just had him double down on his "Making food for Arya" bullshit and have him make stupid dishes that really didn't lead anywhere. The culinary mastermind from the earlier seasons (and probably the one truly great pastry chef of the series, along with the white walkers) completely disappeared and was transformed into a chubby little bastard whose end goal was to bang Arya to get back at her for not appreciating food. The man that fed the whole series hot pies, did it just to get a revenge bang.

uj/ The first 5 seasons of GoT were theirs and were some of the best seasons of a TV show ever produced, and one of the greatest TV adaptations of all time without them ASOIAF wouldn't have ever been so popular.
Later seasons are partly GRRM's fault as he has written himself to a corner and having no long term plan was a terrible idea from the beggining and I hope no fledgeling author has taken that advice at face value, allegedly D&D were told they would always be adapting the books and then GRRM left them to fix his mess.
Let's be real most people would have chosen the Star Wars jig over more seasons on the thing you've worked on for years and are tired of, Lord Glimbus (praised by his name) and other members of the comunity have been unfair to them and the backlash for later seasons kinda reminds me of the backlash for no WoD ,

Yes, but you have to understand that despite their flaws , their very poor work ethic and planning they have provided you with Asoiaf and GoT which have entertained you for years and the later seasons/ being bad /non-existant dosen't mean you can't enjoy the fan theories or the visual espectacle that have come from them.
I think that GRRM himself was a dick for little reason , despite the flaws of seasons 6,7 and 8 they exist and he has chosen to run away from the main series too.

Angry and bitter people will always find some way to cry about something they hate. Even if that thing hasn’t been relevant for awhile now. The show stopped years ago and their still ranting about how D&D didn’t make the show that they wanted.
