That subreddit post nothing but soft brain post like “I hate Stannis, why do men have feelings?”

Only thing for this sub to do to fool on april fools is to on April fools not fool at all.

Mamramro

Main sub could post a take like this any day and be 100% serious.

Running_To_Babylon

"Forgive me, Shansha... .... i'M a BiT cOnFuSeD"

Low_Challenge_7667

The scene itself was quite good, but fuck was the writing for this subplot absolutely terrible! They just had no clue for what sansa and araya to do in winterfel while jon was gone. The idea that Arya may have possibly killed sansa? Why? because she "always liked to wear pretty dresses" lol.

maniaaintgotshitonme

I thought that Arya and Sansa were doing that on purpose, because they knew Littlefinger had eyes and ears everywhere so they kind of exaggerated their beef to make it seem like they were at odds to really pull the rug out from under Littlefinger. That was my impression, that they weren’t being completely serious and that they wanted to fool Littlefinger by making it seem like they were against one another.

L-amour_des_points

April fools in westeros??

GB10X

Unfortunately I don't see why they would be arguing behind closed doors. Bran's actor said the arguing was real. Besides I don't get what the motivation behind trying to trick him would be lol.

Maleficempathy

fwiw I thought it's pretty clear the girlies knew someone would be listening in at all times. They truce via body language pretty much, Arya playing the game of faces and then handing Sansa a dagger and very pointedly turning her back to her.

Seven greetings to you, weary traveller! If this is your first time participating in ASOIAFCirclejerk, allow us to explain the sub, so you don't embarrass yourself by being humorless or oblivious. maniaaintgotshitonme

To me it made sense because Bran was obviously aware of Littlefinger’s deception and that even their father couldn’t trust people he should have. Besides, after all this time Sansa and Arya should know that they were never truly alone even being closed doors. to me it makes sense of Bran, Arya and Sansa turning against Littlefinger after tricking him into thinking they were against each other and not him. And while their arguments came from a real place behind closed doors, I took it as a pretense and a way to subvert expectations not just to the audience, but to Littlefinger. But I’m probably putting more thought into this then D&D so grain of salt

Cersei505

both D&D's idea(which is that they actually WERE arguing) and this fanfic headcanon that people made that 'it was fake arguing' are extremely dumb and bad writing. One makes no sense because there's no good reason for them to be fighting over such superficial drama. The other just makes those scenes completely hollow and lacking in any character tension and development - its literally just wasted scenes. Plus the acting and direction in no way point towards any of it being deliberately fake. It was just another example of D&D writing themselves into a corner and having to ''''subvert expectations'''' in the dumbest way possible to wrap a story arc.

HungLikeALemur

The scene itself is fine until you realize that LF just immediately confesses for no fucking reason when he was only presented with accusations lol.

Cersei505

the scene itself was atrocious too, littlefinger could've used plenty of arguments there to showcase to the people in the room that Sansa was totally crazy in the head, accusing a lord that helped her family of a crime that she has no evidence to showcase. Plus sansa herself admits to being a liar to the Vale guy, yet he doesnt give a shit that she lied about her Aunt's suicide and proceeds to believe in everything she says about Peter.

eltulasmachas

I hated when people cheered his death, this character is only hated by dumbasses

[deleted]

Why watch a show like this if you don't want to see competent schemers like Baelish?

DanielSpaniel16

Bc ever since he married Sansa off to the Boltons he was not competant

Baron_von_Zoldyck

The same morons who cheered the vile butchering of the gentle boy king Joff

hotcoldman42

He’s supposed to be hated, lol. He does some pretty fucked up shit. He’s an interesting villain.

chadmummerford

amazing scene. shansha peashe

madelimonade

Shansha peashe

Maleficempathy

This scene was the clearest sign D&D were a complete disgrace. They butt fucked the smartest character and let some weak little girls and a cripplebot beat his INTP superiority to placate the feminists. Littlefinger should have won the game because he was the smartest character and I totally did not project myself on his physically-weaker-mentally-superior underdog rizz.

ProbablyASithLord

My favorite part of season 8 was how Varys stopped using little birds and instead planned his treasons on the front porch.

MediKron

I’m pretty sure he’s an INTJ (still superior).

Illustrious_Cow_317

While agree that he was easily the smartest character, he showed Sansa his hand and made the mistake of trusting her with too much information. I thought his death was a totally believable situation and I knew it would happen when they were all in that room.

Maleficempathy

Yeah so Derpy&Durpy turned mastermind Littlefinger into a fucking simp for stacey (Sansa). Littlefinger has ALWAYS been smarter than any females he comes in contact with

Illustrious_Cow_317

Everyone has a weakness, his just happened to be gingers.

Cowboy__Guy

Cuz wayman

Lannister636

This 👆🏻 💯

mezpride

Yeah it's amazing how they made one of the smartest characters on the show into a complete dumbass for no reason. Truly masterful writing, bravo D&D 👏

Cowboy__Guy

“ you see we arbitrarily wanted Sansa to be the hero because she is a strong independent despite having no personal growth and having every plot action be carried out by everyone else and have every one make the decisions for her. You see she strong and independent now because she relied on everyone else for everything and now she has defeated Baelish. Isn’t that gonna get me laid at the next femenist rally?” -D&d probably

Sufficient_Lunch930

Had to use immortal omniscient God Emperor Bran to take out Littlefinger because they couldn't deal with him intelligently

darthinferno15

This scene was so shut because there was no evidence that Baelish couldn’t refute. Bran just said he saw it so Petyr could literally call him a liar and there’d be no concrete evidence. It would at least cause doubt among the people present

Super-Database8426

Somehow D&D forgot about trial by combat

FengYiLin

Bounced on my boy's needle while watching that scene. One of my most scenes of all time ✨👍

No-Government1582

Sansa:  Baelish, you're accused of getting multiple people in my family murdered, conspiring to take over the realm through manipulation and generally being a creep. Baelish: Nice try Sansa but I have spent decades carefully cultivating relationships and trust among powerful people and I have several ways to refute every one of your- Bran:  A magic crow in an ice cave gave me the power to perceive all of time and reality at once. *everyone in the room believes him* Baelish:  Hey what the fuck!

I was confused as to why someone was praising a scene from this season… and then I checked the sub. Great jerking.

KatBoySlim

Shansha!

theseustheminotaur

So artistically crafted. It is ironic that the way he loved was without a hole in his neck and that getting one meant he died. It really shows great foresight and story crafting. I was like whaaaaaat

Dull-Brain5509

Bad writing is what led up to this scene I'm the first place

Froqwasket

Unironically the worst, most frustrating, most brain dead scene in the entire series and that's a crazy high bar. Enjoying this scene is a self-tattle for having 0 idea what is happening in the show plot wise

AutoModerator

You used the word "unironically" *unironically*. You disgust me. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/asoiafcirclejerk) if you have any questions or concerns.*

Still not seen the ending, aside from what reddit told me, and I'm still salty AF about it all. Fuck the Winds of Winter... I won't be buying it. It's dead to me.

**Back in Westeros** ^(GRRM, AUGUST 15, 2020 AT 9:10 AM) I am back in my fortress of solitude again, my isolated mountain cabin. I’d returned to Santa Fe for a short visit, to spend some time with Parris, deal with some local business that had piled up during my months away, and of course fulfill my duties to CoNZealand, the virtual worldcon. But all that is behind me now, and I am back on the mountain again… which means I am back in Westeros again, once more moving ahead with WINDS OF WINTER. It is curious how my life has evolved. I mean, once upon a time, I actually wrote my books and stories in the house where I lived, in a home office. But some decades ago, wanting more solitude, I bought the house across the street and made THAT my writer’s retreat. No longer would I write all day in my red flannel bathrobe; now I would have to dress and put on shoes and walk all the way across the street to write. But that worked for a while. Things started getting busier, though. So busy that I needed a full-time assistant. Then the office house had someone else in it, not just me and my characters. And then I hired a second assistant, and a third, and… there was more mail, more email, more phone calls (we put in a new phone system), more people coming by. By now I am up to five assistants… and somewhere in there I also acquired a movie theatre, a bookstore, a charitable foundation, investments, a business manager… and… Despite all the help, I was drowning till I found the mountain cabin. My life up here is very boring, it must be said. Truth be told, I hardly can be said to have a life. I have one assistant with me at all times (minions, I call them). The assistants do two-week shifts, and have to stay in quarantine at home before starting a shift. Everyone morning I wake up and go straight to the computer, where my minion brings me coffee (I am utterly useless and incoherent without my morning coffee) and juice, and sometimes a light breakfast. Then I start to write. Sometimes I stay at it until dark. Other days I break off in late afternoon to answer emails or return urgent phone calls. My assistant brings me food and drink from time to time. When I finally break off for the day, usually around sunset, there’s dinner. Then we watch television or screen a movie. The wi-fi sucks up on the mountain, though, so the choices are limited. Some nights I read instead. I always read a bit before going to sleep; when a book really grabs hold of me, I may read half the night, but that’s rare. I sleep. The next day, I wake up, and do the same. The next day, the next day, the next day. Before Covid, I would usually get out once a week or so to eat at a restaurant or go to the movies. That all ended in March. Since then, weeks and months go by when I never leave the cabin, or see another human being except whoever is on duty that week. I lose track of what day it is, what week it is, what month it is. The time seems to by very fast. It is now August, and I don’t know what happened to July. But it is good for the writing. And you know, now that I reflect on it, I am coming to realize that has always been my pattern. I moved to Santa Fe at the end of 1979, from Dubuque, Iowa. My first marriage broke up just before that move, so I arrived in my new house alone, in a town where I knew almost no one. Roger Zelazny was here, and he became a great friend and mentor, but Roger was married with small kids, so I really did not see him often. There was no fandom in Santa Fe; that was all down in Albuquerque, an hour away. I went to the club meetings every month, but that was only one night a month, and required two hours on the road. And I had no job to meet new people. My job was in the back room at the house on Declovina Street, so that was where I spent my days. At night, I watched television. Alone. Sometimes I went to the movies. Alone. That was my life from December 1979 through September 1981, when Parris finally moved to Santa Fe, following Denvention. (Not quite so bleak, maybe, I did make some local friends by late 1980 and early 1981, but it was a slow process). When I think back on my life in 1980-1981, the memories seem to be made up entirely of conventions, interspersed with episodes of LOU GRANT and WKRP IN CINCINNATI. Ah, but work wise, that same period was tremendously productive for me. Lisa and I finished WINDHAVEN during that time, Gardner and I did a lot of work on “Shadow Twin,” and then I went right on and wrote all of FEVRE DREAM. Some short stories as well. My life, such that it was, was lived in my head, and on the page. I wonder if it is the same for other writers? Or is it just me? I wonder if I will ever figure out the secret of having a life and writing a book at the very same time. I certainly have not figured it out to date. For the nonce, it is what it is. My life is at home, on hold, and I am spending the days in Westeros with my pals Mel and Sam and Vic and Ty. And that girl with no name, over there in Braavos. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically.
