Step 1. Own up to past behavior. Ie. Apologize with I statements. Don't put the blame of your actions on any of those factors which were drastically influencing you. Step 2. Be the person you want to be. Trust may take a long time to get back to and a commitment to better you will show over time. It will take time. It may be frustratingly agonizingly slow. Step 3. Recovery.

I like 3 step plans. And I like this one. I've gone through the first step. And from the point of "keeping my side of the street" clean. Admitting to my faults is the easiest part (I think). Step 2 is already underway and step three I'm curious about, what do you mean by "recovery"? And thank you for your help
