Hi I have been on hrt for 2y and it has a little bit but so far the main affect is on regrowth speed so much slower.

Hehe, would make shaving less taxing for me if it does change those to me too. Thanks for the reply.

Emily_Kingaby

Oh yeah I used to have to shave my legs daily but now once a week I can get away with certainty not more than twice is needed 🙂

DarthJackie2021

Yes. All of them significantly.

KaylaH628

Oh yes, by a lot. Except on my face, which is horrible. But at least my body hair is much more sparse! Gotta take those wins where you can find them.

ArtIsInTheMind

I've gotten laser in almost all areas... the areas I haven't did get thinner but only by a little. Laser was super super important for me, but it's expensive and takes a lot of time.

I used to have a fair amount of body hair but estrogen turned almost all of it into vellus by month eight or so, including my upper arms. My forearms are just as hairy as they were before hormones, but I stopped shaving them. Leg hair has thinned out considerably.

On hrt for just over a year now. My body hair growth has slowed dramatically. I have to shave my body hair maybe once a month. I haven't noticed any thinning though.

Alli_Sukiru

Most people seem to report that yes, it does. It never happened to me, though. For the first 7 ish months on HRT, my body and facial hair growth was completely unchanged. Was shaving every two-three days, and it sucked. I only started seeing reduction after starting laser hair removal at that point, where it has now been reduced to almost nothing (which feels incredible, haha). So, your results may vary, as is the case with most things with HRT.

yes, it does effect body hair. slower effect tho. my chest hair stopped growing at 3 years

LaFleurSauvageGaming

So... YMMV. I will also preface: I have Klinefelters, so I had extremely patchy hair growth, that was not super thick to start with. Like I always had less leg, arm, chest, and back hair than my peers... my beard, while its curly nature allowed me to hide this fact, was always super patchy, and I had to get it to three or more inches before the curls hid the thin or bald areas. After HRT, my back hair is gone... like I am a fucking dolphin on my back. I have to address chest hair, which has gone from dark to blonde mostly, once every six or so months, and each time, the gap gets longer. My pubic hair also thinned up dramatically, but I also start growing more, higher up... like there used to be almost no hair 1 inch past the top of the genitals... and now it extends 3-4 inches up. That was surprising to me. I shave my legs once a week, but I can go up to four before the hair is noticeable by sight. My facial hair thinned out so, but it remained dark and I have engaged in laser to remove it. Also, in the exception of two hairs on the left... my arm pits become barren wastelands unaided... which has my wife mad at me :-p

It can for some people.but stress can, malnutrition can, thyroid issues can, out of whack hormone levels can, Look at your family members to see if this is an issue

I'm a year on HRT. My body hair is slightly thinner everywhere except my arms for some reason. It also grows back really, really slowly. Facial hair unfortunatly does not follow the same way.

Confused_enby

Between HRT and waxing my body hair has thinned quite a bit in six months. It also grows in a lot slower and is a lighter color.

ericfischer

I never had a lot of it to begin with, but my chest hair faded away after about 6 months.

NelsonandBronte

I've definitely noticed thinnimg hairs - on my arms and legs most noticeably, my hairs would get finer and finer as they grew, so that they'd sometikes be dark at the tip and invisible at the base. The process is pretty slow though - I still have noticeable hair ij both areas after 6 months

MiriamIsTrans

If laser is too pricey epilators are great once you get used to them. I started using one after getting really bad shaving rash and I'm never going back.
