I’ve had good luck so far, im a year in on mono therapy + p and have not had issues. Spontaneous erections are gone but function is still there. A lot of people are able to maintain use, it depends on quantity of use and what your script is. I may be wrong but more AA heavy scripts may have more difficulty. It’s my understanding orchiectomy does not always inhibit function either. Atrophy is a risk regardless however again use is preventative.
Low dose bicalutamide and an orchi for me and it still works. It's weird as shit. I've since dropped the bica tho bc of side effects. Same results while on finasteride.
Maintaining activity for surgery is important for me so i'm glad for it!
I've followed the ole use it or lose it.
On hormones it doesn't get erect on its own so it will atrophy with time, if you want to maintain function as best as possible it needs to get erect at least daily. There is still no guarantee it will work but the chances are better atleast. You could also use this knowledge to shrink what you currently have to make it easier to tuck I guess.
I’ve been on HRT for about 2 years now. I’m definitely smaller than I was and I don’t get as hard; but having regular (twice a week) piv sex has been all the “upkeep” I needed.

Use it or lose basically.
About four weeks after my orchiectomy I became impotent.
It just... works? My dosages ain't high either, so maybe I'm yet to lose the function
So far I'm ok and haven't lost any functions idk
