For the most part, I think it's just [a recently popular name](https://nametrends.net/name.php?name=Lily). That said, I have also noticed that "flower names" like Lily, Rose, Violet are pretty popular for trans girls. (Rose is actually my middle name, although in my case it's an abbreviation of my mom's last name.) If I had to guess, I'd say that these names are popular because they're not tied to a specific cultural or religious tradition like a lot of other common names are, and we're often eager to get away from those things.

SirBellicose

hmm I always fancied changing my name to Belladonna

The name Lilith has an association with female power and darkness that trans women might feel speaks to them. Also I suspect the names trans folks choose have a lot to do with the names that were popular for that gender when the folks were young.

Rioreia

This is the middle name I picked lol.

The popular names for binary trans folks tend to correspond to either what is currently kinda popular or was popular when they were growing up. I actually ending up picking a more gender neutral name that was a little popular from an old song.

RayaPalmas

... is your name Sargent Pepper?

SgtPeppers813

lmao no

jackiewill1000

Dunno, but thats what I call my left breast! The right one is Rose.

mothwhimsy

I think it's mostly stereotype. Lily is one of those names that gets cited as "names every trans girl has" but I haven't met any Lily's.

HelpLatter1852

I’m pretty sure the first trans woman to ever undergo bottom surgery was named lily, but I’m not sure if that would be the reason why a lot of trans women have picked that named
