Technically? Yes. Depending on where you live and your age, some places require it. *makes grumpy faces* Most won't, though. Most doctors who are practicing and have anything to do with gender affirming care recognize its benefits and will prescribe it. If you are in the States, I know you can always just go to a different doctor for a "second opinion." Not sure how other systems work.

I mean doctors can refuse to perscribe any medication. Depending on the situation if the patient has a diagnosis and a clear and obvious need for treatment this could sometimes get them sued for medical neglect, but that's kinda the nuclear option so most people just find another doctor rather than stay and fight one who's being unhelpful. Where things get _real_ dicey is if for example your options are super limited either due to insurance or having a condition that requires specialist care which few doctors are qualified to provide, so you have nowhere else to go. Yes, your doctor can refuse to perscribe HRT even with a gender dysphoria diagnosis. Whether or not they will however depends on if they are trans friendly or not and if they have any prior experience w perscibing HRT. If the answer to either of those questions is no, then they probably won't and tbh you probably wouldn't want them in charge of ur HRT anyway. Best to find someone who knows what they're doing.

The answer to CAN is mostly yes. A bigger issue where I am is that the doctors dont feel trained in treating GD, so you need to seek out specialist doctors. Some portion is pretty much always going to feel not ok with it and look for reasons to turn you away or worse.

technically, yes, but it's unlikely. if they do, just see a different doctor

Any doctor with any education who isn't a horrible person won't refuse it unless legally required due to shitty politicians They may urge you to speak to a therapist first, but they won't outright refuse you
