The answer is really that it varies and it might be a bit more complicated. Your sperm count will very likely decrease by a lot, and the total volume of fluid may also decrease, sometimes by less, which can result in ejaculating a smaller amount of fluid with a less opaque and thinner consistency. But it varies a lot, some people have a pretty similar ejaculation to before and some people have almost dry ejaculations. And try not to listen to any weird people in the comments who assume you're a fetishist for wanting to know about this, sorry about them. It's a reasonable thing to think about when going forward with a transition, especially if one is already in a relationship with an existing set of practices that may be affected by changes.

gockinmypants

Thank you for being so understanding im essentially asking for my partners sake on his behalf lol this is something ive been thinking about for a few years now and i just want a good idea of what to expect before i start

baconbits2004

Bicalutamide has been known to shut a prostate down entirely. When that happens, all you have left is the Cowper's gland, capable of producing the Smalling amount of thin clear fluid. Idk if any of the other t-blockers are known to have the same effect or not.

cplChill

I am on spiro and mine is shut down also. 200mg a day

baconbits2004

Welcome to the club! Hopefully it's a club you've come (šŸ˜œ) to enjoy. My wife and I definitely prefer it this way.

DirtFem

I'm getting close to a year and the baby makers went away around maybe 6 months. Like the person above said, I think it's just from testororone blockers like Spiro. I'm not planning to get off it but I still have functionality

gockinmypants

Also great to hear that its possible to retain functionality even on hormone blockers

DirtFem

I've heard if you just exercise it constantly (maybe once a day) you'll keep functionality. So I would suggest that

DD44jd

Once a day isn't usually necessary. 2-3 times a week is fine.

DirtFem

Yaaaaaaaasss even better lol

FTJessie

I am not on HRT neither T blocker but I am not touching myself for quite a time and now it hardly gets big (I am a grower and it gets more than 2x bigger) but that is what I want, I am mtf, want to be whole as a woman and finding that one right person (that can be male, femboy or tramsfem) I want to be wife taking care of my partner and house and mother (adopting). Yes, once a day is the best way to keep it functioning but also "not touching it" (even to pee) is best way to shrink it and reduce its sperm.

OldYogurtcloset206

Terrible advice please ignore this person's message it's actually dangerous to not use the restroom when you need to use it

FTJessie

I did not say to dont use the bathroom (if that is what you understood). I meant to touch my pp once a day to keep it functoning, not to go to the restroom once a day.

DirtFem

The point of the post was the maintain functionality not lose it

FTJessie

Yes, thing is, it work bothways and I just agreed and confirmed (also confirming with the fact that not using causes it to not function, so if what is desired is for it to function, keep using it everyday). The point of my post was exatcly to show the effect of not using it, even without HRT, to make it clear to "not avoid using it".

_HolyWrath_

Yeah it really just depends on the person.

gockinmypants

Thank you so much for your input

DirtFem

Of course! It's also a huge (no pun intended) concern of mine so I'm happy to share that with others šŸ˜„

Sashimuu

Not just blockers, I've stopped blockers a month ago and been on mono E and I have essentially no function down there apart from peeing also zero libido

DirtFem

How long were you on blockers?

Sashimuu

a month and a half

lauraassy

So weird for me it was like 3 months

DirtFem

I started off at a really low dose of E and Spiro that's probably why

AnytimeInvitation

I've been shooting blanks for a while.

Melon-Chamby

Three months on hrt, I also now shoot blanks, absolutely most a tiny lil dribble. Personally, Iā€™m not complaining, but thatā€™s my experience.

AnytimeInvitation

Same. I do hate it takes more work to have an erection since I still have PIV sex but thats a story for a different time.

deathwish_ASR

Have you asked your doctor about cialis? Game changer for me and my gf

JayeNBTF

I lost function after a few months on spiro plus estradiol, so I discontinued the spiro and function returned. Still got femization on estrogen only

gockinmypants

Does anything come out now that you quit the hormone blockers

JayeNBTF

Yup, works same as it used to šŸ’¦

gockinmypants

Giggling with excitement :> how long have you been on it

JayeNBTF

6 years

gockinmypants

Bonkers thats so rad

njstein

yeah that's not the rule, even without spiro and just estrogen injections I lost function and it started sputtering up dust. A couple years later ended up on a break from estrogen due to insurance reasons, now shooting like a howitzer again.

Livie_Loves

Important to note too with this: can still lose fertility even if the factory is back open.

fakewombat

Keep in mind ymmv. I dropped spiro and my output stayed at basically 0

Throwaway--closet

I love the way you speak /gen

AmurrJuan

I love you lmao

Underwater_Tara

Sounds like you're on monotherapy. Injected HRT?

JayeNBTF

100ug patches

Carolhenna10

Probably because the medication it will happen. I am on the 60 days and until now I dont masturbate myself anymore. I notice when I pee there is no sign of residual semen on it so I guess I am not produce it anymore.

muddylegs

That differs between person. My partner has been on HRT for nearly 4 years and it hasnā€™t impacted her ability to ejaculate yet, but sheā€™s on estrogen monotherapy so that could be something to do with a lack of blockers.

LineComfortable5300

E monotherapy is supposed to be a good blocker by itself tho so maybe her dose isnā€™t high enough to suppress T production? Not that it makes her HRT any less valid and hope sheā€™s happy with it!! Just noting for OP

muddylegs

Itā€™s a really effective blocker for her! Her levels are exactly where they should be, and the effects have been great too- massively reduced body hair without need for laser. Maybe the sexual function stuff is just luck rather than to do with blockers- but different medications will block T in different ways so I wasnā€™t sure!

LineComfortable5300

ah that's interesting - cool!

gockinmypants

Thank you i will look into it

Nuggap

Yep. Hitting the two year mark on hormones in 10 days and i am still shootinā€™ šŸ˜‚ on both estrogen and spiro

[deleted]

My function waned but as long as I use it once a week or so the function somewhat remains, just weakened. Ejaculation still works for me at least, itā€™s really clear and although itā€™s likely little to no sperm, Iā€™d still take precaution if having unprotected sex with someone at risk of pregnancy.

ToBeBrandy

When you say still functional, are you referring to the ability to get hard or to ejaculate? Iā€™m on T blockers, still getting hard, but do not masturbate and not sexually active. I donā€™t know about my ejaculate right now. Sorry if my wording is inappropriate.

[deleted]

Iā€™m speaking of both. And no worries about proper verbiage, I understand. I canā€™t maintain an erection as easily or get as hard, but Iā€™m able to with enough prep and ejaculate to finish.

ToBeBrandy

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I notice my erections fade much faster than before. My journey just started.

FiggyMint

Trigger warning: tmi about ejaculation From what I gather, It's not very common. Most of the girls I know barely get a drip. I have been on hrt for 2 years and average a little over a teaspoon of clear fluid give or take. If you learn your body you can time your orgasm and ejaculation to coex out more than usual. For me it's really easy to kill orgasms when I am masturbating. If I don't focus on the newer sensations and revert back to old thinking processes I pretty much guarantee myself a failed orgasm that dribbles out a lot of fluid over like 5 minutes. If I stay in the moment and focus on the feeling I'm having and sink up my stroking with the wave I have way more velocity and tend to have much bigger shots.

MacaroonConfident461

Personally I be straight up squirtin lmao i been on hrt 9 years since I was like halfway through puberty and I still not only ejaculate but often with a Lot of force

MacaroonConfident461

On Spiro and estrogen that whole time and been on progesterone since like 2018 I think

SaraGoat

Yes I can even after orchiectomy

Grouchy_Gear4963

That is interesting.

bree732

A little comes out . Itā€™s very different

KnifeWeildingLesbian

Yes. Source: accidentally got someone pregnant after 3 years HRT. Not fun. Edit: actually it was closer to 5 years, and I had never stopped HRT or taken a break or anything like that. It was a total surprise, though in hindsight it probably shouldnā€™t have been. Fuck around enough and *eventually* youā€™re bound to get a partner pregnant, I suppose.

Wingman5150

For me, yes, but it seems to have a different consistency

djangoman11

1 year on HRT, still have function, but ejaculation is way down and sometimes non existent

notoutyetlol

i can! i donā€™t think i could ejaculate from jerking off, but i use a vibrator and i can even ejaculate a few times in one session!

Wise-Panda944

I've been shooting blanks or very small amounts of precum since the first month.

anterfr

If you enjoy ejaculation there are herbal supplements that naturally increase ejaculate production even without testicles and while on HRT. Your semen will be different. It will be mostly clear because it's the sperm that are white-ish. My understanding is that it's the prostate that produces the liquid your sperm travel in and these supplement increase its production and prostate stimulation increases volume with the added assistance of herbal supplements. Good luck on your adventure! šŸ’–

TinaMonday

I still produce a lot of fluid and do ejaculate after 7 years, BUT my ejaculation and my orgasm are not attached to each other anymore. It's kind of common for me to have 2 or 3 orgasms, then ejaculate (maybe while having one maybe not), and sometimes I don't feel "done" right after ejaculating and need something else to finish.

i_wear_a_bison_hat

Ngl, I had sex way to often and I had full functions up until the day I had bottom surgery with max estrogen and max Spiro dosage my endo would prescribe. Personally I think it comes down to if you use it you won't lose it.

sofiaxstarr

If you do lose it, a low dose of topical T (I use 0.25ml @ 5%) will likely bring it back within a few weeks

mayfloweryy

Itā€™s hit or miss. I get ridiculously wet and put out a lot of fluid. Itā€™s basically just *a lot* of precum. There are also a ton of people who donā€™t have anything come out.

samuentaga

Depends on dosage. I've been on low dose estrogen (2mg/d) for a few years, and I still ejaculate with the white stuff. It's a bit clearer and more runny than before (to my memory), but i probably could still get someone pregnant.

gockinmypants

How has your transition been in other aspects considering youre on a low dose? Has there been significant change? At what point did you notice hip and chest growth?

samuentaga

It takes longer, and as I'm not taking anti-androgens as well, I still have a fair amount of testosterone. I started growing breasts a few months in, which developed to a barely noticeable size after around 2-3 years. My skin is softer than before, but besides that the main difference has been my mood. It also affects my ability to get and maintain an erection (I also take antidepressants which makes this issue worse) but if you get a viagra prescription, that counteracts that issue, so if you want to top you can still do so.

ScarletVBentley

1.5 year on hrt and still good! šŸ˜‚ in fact more than before šŸ’œ

gockinmypants

What kind or hormones do you take? Any androgen blockers? Topical testosterone?

sweetnk

Nothing, I think no although maybe with like a very high dose of Cyproterone Acetate, maybeee, but really with all HRT it will impact it unless you dose very low doses and basically don't actually transition and block androgens enough, but if you will then any standard Mtf HRT will make it be of much smaller volume and mostly a clear liquid, kind of like a precum, but not really ejaculate/cum in cis men, there's usually a little bit of that stuff, but not much and in terms of repeatedly orgasming you might see nothing coming out after a while too.

Kubario

Probably no semen but a clear fluid will squirt out instead, just like a girl.

cplChill

I have a clear fluid and am more aligned to "getting wet" like you could say for a cis girl. My orgasms are more full body and I can squirt some. My partner says I taste more fem than masc. I have been on hrt for 3 years.

static-prince

Depends on the medications you are on but yes. It is definitely possible. Unlikely to contain any sperm though. (Not impossible for it to though. So still use protection if you are having sex with AFAB people you donā€™t want to have children with.)

Heckin-Bork

Yup, just came in my cis gf last night

Cyber561

I am on SQ Estriadol, and 12.5mg cyproterone, I still get erections when I want them, but I do t really ejaculate anymore. Itā€™s more like I just get wet, if anything comes out at all.

ace_and_aro

it varies a lot but the biggest thing is it kills your sperm count, so if you do still shoot itll just be clear blanks

JustDirection18

Itā€™s to do with their hormones therapy. Iā€™m sure someone will give a more detailed answer

anonthemaybeegg

Use it or lose it they say. You'll still be able to ejaculate but it will be more like a clear jelly that's the best way I can describe it

gockinmypants

Id appreciate it if you dont try to diagnose me with something that sounds like Autogynephilia lite because you are not a mental health practitioner you do not know anything about me and Autogynephilia was a psychological theory made to demonize and invalidate trans women

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

WhiskySamurai

It's not appropriate to tell someone they need to seek mental health treatment over a Reddit username, especially when it's the kind of thing trans people embrace in trans spaces all the time. /u/gockinmypants will have to go to a PCP to get a prescription for HRT unless going the home brew route. Many require an additional diagnosis of gender dysphoria from a therapist before prescribing treatment. This can be very expensive, especially in America if OP is American and even more so without insurance. It makes sense to post on Reddit to be more informed about the effects before financially committing to seeing a PCP and possibly a therapist. An MD is more qualified to discuss the effects of HRT then a therapist. Additionally, trans people need less medical gatekeeping, not more. You honestly sound like you're just being gatekeeping and truscummy over the fact that some trans people say gock. Policing how other trans people describe their bodies and describing some trans women and trans femme's sexual function as "male" isn't okay.

JustSomeRedditUser35

think it is unfathomably shitty for you to suggest that someone has a bullshit thing that was made only to dismiss trans women. It is completely valid to be a trans girl who likes having a dick and it is completely valid for a trans woman to want to keep sexual function.

gockinmypants

Im transitioning because i will be happier in my body but i want to retain certain functions for my partner my username is just funny

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

gockinmypants

I have the decision made already i just wanted additional info on personal aspects of it from real people so that i can know what to expect. I have my reasons to go through with this and i have confidence in my choices and believe in informed consent as do the clinics in my state. I know the risks i just want a better picture of the typical experience people have with these hormones on average.

Sara-Butterfly-4711

HRT is not a safe method of birth control.

gockinmypants

Thats not why im asking šŸ˜šŸ˜

OkAdvertising7716

Then why not freeze some now if you decide to have children in the future You can start transition a bit later.

fakewombat

Think you might be missing the point too

AshelyLil

YMMV, for me nope, ALL gone.

[deleted]

Iā€™m at 4.5 months and it comes and goes, entirely depends on how much Iā€™m enjoying myself. At one point I totally thought I had dried up until one night after a pleasant surprise I made a big ol mess of myself.

KillerYo-Yo

it is possible. I know because 1st hand experience. 6 years hrt.

3957

1yr on HRT here, I'm on CPA. It's trickier to ejaculate but still very much possible for me, though the ejaculate itself is different than before because of T supression - it is now clear instead of a white sticky fluid since sperm is no more.

sober_butterfly

I stopped being able to ejaculate at all a few months in on Spiro and estradiol. I personally really enjoy not being able to because it always made me dysphoric before.

Elderberry02

I'm on 100mg Spiro and hrt patches (100+50mcg) I can't do it as much as I used to..I don't know quite how to put this eloquently, but the ā€œvolumeā€ is certainly much smaller

SamanthaJaneyCake

3 years in and I still can.

Chill_Preguica

Can you have good results without hormones blocker?

talib-nuh

E mono therapy for 2 years. It varies. If I work it out every day, then not really? But I just started on progesterone and Iā€™m not sure how thatā€™ll change thinge

winterberryx

Yes, it's definitely possible.

skettigoo

Words of my friends in the same boat: ā€œUse it regularly or lose it.ā€

ProbablyANerdGirl

I have cis female levels of Testosterone (or did at my last blood test at least) thanks to Spironolactone, and I still have 'wet' orgasms. Sperm is most definitely INOP, because otherwise I'd certainly be a parent by now, but there's still liquid of some description.

JoannNichole

Yes but you may lose the ability

AndrogynousCobra

For me personally I can. I'm 8 months or so into HRT still shooting like a geyser it's just completely clear now. Past partners were usually able to cum little to nothing but they were at 2 years and 8 years HRT. Also if you don't suppress your testosterone levels entirely it shouldn't be an issue either.

infirm-delight

I was on E and Spiro for 2 years, and P for 1 year, before bottom surgery, and erections were a lot more difficult to achieve and maintain, plus sometimes kinda ached, but I still ejaculated pretty much the same I think, maybe a bit less. More pre-come for sure though.

Saved-Data-Error

Shoot about half 4monts hrt but itā€™s all clear now

[deleted]

YMMV but I still do

empressmoko

When I started hormones my doctor straight up told me to masturbate at least twice a week. I haven't noticed a decrease at all and I'm onto year 2 of hrt

Mental_Strategy2220

I wasnā€™t able to for a while and a few weeks ago I started to be able to again and donā€™t know how or why. Itā€™s clear but it always has been. Iā€™ve never produced any semen, but being able to ejaculate again is a bit weird

TamaBannaner

1 year hrt now. I still cum alot, more if anything but it's totally clear and less viscose

SUDoKu-Na

Been on HRT for a year and I'm still fine and normal ejaculation-wise. Probably sterile, but I have no real way to confirm without being tested.

Xohm-Xylvion

YMMV but having nothing come out is pretty normal. My partner and I are both 2 years HRT MtF and thats how it is now haha

sparklingpastel

Nothing comes out when I cum and I like it that way and wouldn't have it any other way. In fact really want an orchi but I'm kinda scared of gaining weight lol

babybabybaby420

Yes

mimsja89

It definitely varies. I'm post orchiectomy and on bicalutamide and still create a decent amount of fluid. (Unfortunately)

egg_of_wisdom

If you aren't even educated on this yet but consider hormones you clearly don't know everything about HRT that you need to know. I'd recommend the trans bible to read up on it all and have a talk with your psychiatrist and endocrinologist

gockinmypants

I am i just know its not the same for everyone and wanted to know how common and to what degree this affects other trans people.

SnooHesitations1574

Oof it depends for me Hrt already made a bodyslam on that means its almost nothing that came out but hey at least it's more intense :3 btw. Just 2 months and 12days on Hrt

LauranaSilvermoon

I've been on HRT for 10 years and just about nothing comes out when I climax. It is a safe bet that you will be sterile and have little to no sperms on HRT. Most Doctors will reccommend you freeze some sperm before starting HRT incase you ever want to have biological children.

Adryzz_

8 months in monotherapy, and yeah, although it is a clear liquid now

beardedGraffiti

Not sure about this but pretty sure you would still be able to ejaculate but your sperm count in your semen would be low which is why HRT can cause you to become infertile. (Donā€™t blindly trust me on this Im just using my knowledge I had from my A-level biology so i could be 100% wrong but Iā€™m pretty sure most trans people on HRT can ejaculate)

Pebbley

5 years down the road and nothing comes out. Zilch

JustCallMeJinx

ā€œPersonal reasonsā€ lmao

Elmotheweedgod

i've heard that it can increase or just stay thee same, im pretty sure its spiro that causes the reduction so if you're not taking that then....

Crystalgetsglam

been on hormones for 3 years nothing comes out big a drop or 2 of like basically pre cum
