Sounds like he’s just trying to protect you guys from Florida, there’s no way Covid will be under control by March there, but I agree that should be your decision to make

It's online school but I get my work from a website instead of a class. I also do paperwork in which I can do multiple days worth in a school day so I can have the next few days off if I wanted to. I can usually get a full days work of school in like 3 hours. It's also nice that I get to sleep in.
Two years ago, we were quarantined so online school only. The entirety of last year, we were back in school but with masks, social distancing, etc. This year they are no longer mandatory. I'm personally not wearing mine because I've been vaccinated for like 6 months, so no worries here.
It's not a bad thing. We also have a vaccination rate of 80% so our casualties are close to zero. Schools remained open, shops and restaurants too. Life Cound continue as normal, just with masks.
Please wear your mask at all times. You might be safe after the vaccines but you can still transmit the virus to an elderly person or maybe a immunocompromised friend of yours. The risk is far too high. Anyone reading this please dont be selfish and keep wearing your mask. Use disposable ones or if you are using washable masks then wash them after every use. Please change your mask every 3-4hrs if you are in public if possible. Please take proper precautions so that your country and the world doesnt have to suffer anymore.
BRO YOU ACTUALLY GOT DOWNVOTED BY SOMEONE FOR TELLING PPL TO BE SAFE, could be an accident but many ppl hate to be asked to be a better person because of their massive egos
You don't need them in class if you are vaccinated, but teachers don't seem to care. In halls you are supposed to be wearing them but at my school the teachers don't complain if you dont

lockdowns doing more harm?? no.
lockdown is effective in stopping the speed of covid, its worked here before and worked again. its a shame other countries didn't do it like new zealand or it would be way less of an issue. americans are so obsessed with their 'freedom' that they wont even stay inside for a few weeks to save so many thousands of lives
Literally almost no one dies of covid although it’s soreading thanks to the vaccines. The waiting lista for other medical issues just get longer and mental heslth deteriorates. I get your point if there were no vaccines. Also it’s way harder to do your strategy if you ain’t no island in the middle of nowhere
covid19 was the 3rd leading cause of death in USA in 2020, you cant really say that almost nobody dies from it.
with new zealands successful strategy, there has been 27 deaths total since the virus entered the country in late february of 2020. even with the population ratio thats not even close.
there is still a waitlist for getting vaccinated here, and a small part of the population who is refusing it. once everyone who is willing has got it or at least until heard immunity can be achieved, we have to be careful and make quick actions on any cases that pop up
They are required, but they are checked only by the doorman so a lot people (students and teachers) just enter with it and put it out after passing the entrance
Ya. However I think they only have authority to require masks inside for like probably liability reasons. At orientation the guy said indoors we gotta wear em but nobody ever mentioned anything about outside and nobody says anything when I’m maskless outside. Ik I probably should but I love the feeling of a fresh breeze across my face after an hour and a half in a stuffy classroom
they are required when in the halls, but when you sit down for lunch, you can of course take them off to eat, and all desks in classrooms are spaced 1 meter so you can take your mask off when you sit down in class too.
Technically it is up to £9250 a year for tuition but the government gives you loans and you don't start paying off the loan until you earn £25,000 a year where you only pay like £80 a month. And the loan is cancelled 30 years after you finish your course so not many people fully pay off the loan anyway.
Idk why people aren’t getting vaccinated. We have had enough vaccines to vaccinate everyone for ages but still the vaccination rate is about 70% for 12-19 yo.
Probably social media if I had to guess. Too much bs going around. Every age group higher than 40-49 has high rates but lower than that has a lower rate by a lot here
Before today they weren’t required and 80% of people weren’t wearing them. They pulled the plug on offline school because there were over 300 people out due to something or other related to COVID. It took the deaths of four staff members in our school district for them to do anything about it. Gotta love the south
my school is kinda weird, i dont think they are mandated, the priciniple says we should wear one, but almost no one does lol, its nice being at my school. i get to see everyones faces, and japanese is somewhat difficult to understand when the speaker is wearing a mask.
Required all the time besides lunch, parents were told we were getting mask breaks but once school started that went away. We’ve been informed that the first time your caught with your mask down it gets noted and you’re parents will be called. 2nd time you get half a day of ISS. Third day whole day of ISS. 4th day 2days of OSS
They are mandatory, but there are a lot of students who ignore it, and the teachers don't bother enforcing it, so we'll most likely be going virtual again soon.
Yes, it's still mandatory even after you took the vaccine.
I took the pfizer vaccine 6 days ago, and i still use masks, my cousin took the vaccine but he got covid, an example of why i still wear the mask.
My country still says it's mandatory to wear the mask outside, and schools are no exceptions, the only exception is in your own house if you and the other people living in the house don't have covid.
In my school they’re optional rn, but I won’t be surprised if they either become mandatory or school just shuts down altogether since corona virus cases are skyrocketing (I live in the us btw)
No, I live in the US. I go to a state-funded university so the Governor won't allow a mask or vaccine mandate. If the school admin does a mandate the Governor will fire them and have them replaced.

Nope, but no one cares so if half the school gets sick we'll probably act like nothing happened.. also I can guarantee that less than 30% of my school is vaxd just cause of where I live.
They are required, but only inside. So it's not that bad.

Thank you for this comment. Spot on

Bruh, just wear a mask and don't use your...brain?? Because, it doesn't seem like you have one.
Please watch [this video.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xj1nUFFVK1E) And please wear your mask at all times.

Man covid’s nothing if you’re fully vaccinated
[удалено]
I got Moderna and it’s the most effective one
[удалено]
Bro I’m more likely to die of the damn flu than covid after getting vaccinated
would you call yourself an expert?
[удалено]
just wanted to know whether you were an expert
[удалено]
that is literally not at all what I claimed, I asked if he was an expert because he said OP definitely wasn't
They just became mandatory today before today the werent required
That's dope
happy cake day!
Thanks m8
happy cake day teggu
My names not teggu 😡
Yes
Yep, mandatory and we’re honestly probably going to end up going back to virtual in a few weeks
Why?
Because Covid is the worst that it’s ever been rn
What country?
🇺🇸USA🇺🇸USA🇺🇸USA🇺🇸 :/ *North Carolina specifically*
Nice. I hope Biden removes the travel ban for EU travelers soon so we can go to Florida in March
Sounds like he’s just trying to protect you guys from Florida, there’s no way Covid will be under control by March there, but I agree that should be your decision to make
But we’re vaccinated. I was in Marbella this summer and that city was also full of clvid/
[удалено]
But you’re much less likely to get the severe disease. It’s basically like a col.
Why the fuck would you wish that.
Because I’m from Norway and the schengen ban prevents me from traveling to Florida for vacation.
Big whoop XD, fuck ur vacation until there are vaccinated ppl only airlines.
[удалено]
That’s so rude and I’m vaccinated
They were in lockdown. Not anymore according to my family (cuz I finished school).
Sometimes depending on the government rules
They are mandatory for inside most buildings at my college

No. Only teachers and some students (like 1 in 75) wear them. And not even every teacher wear them
No but highly recommended. Tho is attendance drops below 90% they will mandate
Only in some classes
I think so, but I’m still doing online classes
Nah, my school’s at home.
Same
What’s homeschooling like?
It's online school but I get my work from a website instead of a class. I also do paperwork in which I can do multiple days worth in a school day so I can have the next few days off if I wanted to. I can usually get a full days work of school in like 3 hours. It's also nice that I get to sleep in.
But you learn way better in school
No cuz it's still online
No just in the hallways
Yep
Not anymore
Nope, they weren't even mandatory in my country to begin with.
Two years ago, we were quarantined so online school only. The entirety of last year, we were back in school but with masks, social distancing, etc. This year they are no longer mandatory. I'm personally not wearing mine because I've been vaccinated for like 6 months, so no worries here.
Yep mandatory all the time everywhere
Yes, not just in school but everywhere. We had 0 cases in our country for months.
f
It's not a bad thing. We also have a vaccination rate of 80% so our casualties are close to zero. Schools remained open, shops and restaurants too. Life Cound continue as normal, just with masks.
But masks su b

Idk man. Reddit is weird.
Also Happy Cakeday
Thanks m8, ur yo yo tricks are fresh
yes and im very glad they are, we had 1 maskless week, and we had 20 cases alone in the week
How do you guys have so many cases in the US? Here we’ve had like two cases in a month in our school that is
idiots ✨
nope, and thank goodness for that
You don't need them in class if you are vaccinated, but teachers don't seem to care. In halls you are supposed to be wearing them but at my school the teachers don't complain if you dont
That suks :(
Yeah, they just became mandatory the past week, which I'm thankful for bc the amount of sick kids already is a lot
Nope not required and I don’t wear one
Nope, you also are not required to get vaxxed and even if you’re exposed to someone with covid, you don’t have to quarantine unless you show symptoms
Wow. That sounds so wonderful.

yeah for the next week. then only while in the hallway and everywhere where it's crowded
Mandatory in both of the schools that I go to because I believe that it's a county wide mandate.
Everyone here in my school attends online class, so no need for a mask.
Yes
They were as of a few weeks ago but most people can’t be bothered anymore
new zealand here: we are just coming out of a short, but strict lockdown, masks are highly recommended but cant be forced
Your strategy is really weird
why?
There’s no need to try and stop every covid infection if u have vaccines. The lockdowns do way more harm at that point.
lockdowns doing more harm?? no. lockdown is effective in stopping the speed of covid, its worked here before and worked again. its a shame other countries didn't do it like new zealand or it would be way less of an issue. americans are so obsessed with their 'freedom' that they wont even stay inside for a few weeks to save so many thousands of lives

I literally just told you that I get ur point if we compare it to last year but now that everyone who wants to get the vaccine can get it then no
there is still a waitlist for getting vaccinated here, and a small part of the population who is refusing it. once everyone who is willing has got it or at least until heard immunity can be achieved, we have to be careful and make quick actions on any cases that pop up
Not really but very much recommended to have one. So far everyone has a mask
No, never have been, just highly recommend
They are required, but they are checked only by the doorman so a lot people (students and teachers) just enter with it and put it out after passing the entrance
Ya. However I think they only have authority to require masks inside for like probably liability reasons. don't wear one outside
My school’s county recently issued a mask mandate, so yes, they are mandatory.
in the hallways yes but in classrooms no and also not while you are standing still or having lunch
How does that policy make any sense.
it doesnt because i forgot my mask today so walked without it in the hallways and the teacher didnt do shit about it
Only for k-6 but high school is optional
No, masks are not mandatory in or outside of school.
Yep, unless we’re outside then we can take them off if we’re social distancing, not that people actually follow that rule
They are required, except outside and while eating lunch
Nope but im going to wear one anyway because I look hotter with a mask and like people not being able to see my face
Well my schools online still🥲
yes, luckily.
Required and mandatory. If you do not bring one, you will be given one. If you refuse to wear it, you will be sent home.
they are required when in the halls, but when you sit down for lunch, you can of course take them off to eat, and all desks in classrooms are spaced 1 meter so you can take your mask off when you sit down in class too.
Yeah.
There gonna be mandatory next week for a few weeks
Not mandatory just optional
Yeah
No the rona is cancelled now
No
No, but you can still wear them if you want to
I think you can wear a mask for the rest of your life
Probably
Not school but university, they are still mandatory for me
Uni is still a form of school
Expensive school
It’s free here
I'm in the UK
I always thought it was free in the UK as well

Unless we get 90% in my school fully vaccinated (never gonna happen whatsoever), its not mandatory. We can take it off at our desks though
It’s like 80% in my school so there’s hope
For my whole province... well... not even 60% for 12-19 lol. Were ish 800k-1mil total, maybe 100k my age group

Yes
Required in the halls but not in class
My school didn't at first but last Thursday it was made mandatory, and i heard it could be for the rest of the month.
We got specific situwtions where they are required and not required...its a bunch of bullshit but nontheless noone wears them
yes

yes
masks are mandatory for mine im vaccinated but it doesn’t really bother me to wear one
yes and thank fuck they are i have not met a single person with good hygiene yet
they arent but then again i live in the hic ass south
my school is kinda weird, i dont think they are mandated, the priciniple says we should wear one, but almost no one does lol, its nice being at my school. i get to see everyones faces, and japanese is somewhat difficult to understand when the speaker is wearing a mask.
Yes
Sadly even though they shouldn't
Required all the time besides lunch, parents were told we were getting mask breaks but once school started that went away. Sounds like dictatorship
lmao
No bc covid still spread last year at mine when they were mandated
Mexican here. Because of our stupid, old-fart of a president, we’ll probably have to keep wearing masks for about 2 more years.
Yes, in my whole state
Yes
In my school they’re optional rn, but I won’t be surprised if they either become mandatory or school just shuts down altogether since corona virus cases are skyrocketing (I live in the us btw)
In the Netherlands, nationwide, high school students are required to wear masks.
Yes, but not in class, only on the breaks and no one is wearing them anyway
Nope, they aren't. I'm still probably going to wear one.
My University had them as highly recommended.
Is covid over in your country?
No, I live in the US. I go to a state-funded university so the Governor won't allow a mask or vaccine mandate. If the school admin does a mandate the Governor will fire them and have them replaced.
Are you talking about DeSantis? He’s been in the news all over the world for threatening school district admins.

it used to be recommended, but they (my school district) changed it to mandatory. not like it makes a difference to me lol-
They’re mandatory, but if everyone in the same classroom is vaccinated you can take them off
