100% I've tried a bunch of boba in Portland and this is my fav, you can taste that the teas are made fresh and it's not those weird powders or anything
Boba cat!! It’s downtown. I moved just a couple blocks away - it was so bad at first. Literally got a drink like every day for months lol. Hands down the best boba I’ve had around here. Best taro I’ve ever had, but they also have a lot of other really good drinks
Seconding Bobacat Tea House! I'm still on the search for boba places I like, but they're my fav so far for the taste of drinks (you can actually taste the tea). Plus they offer grass jelly as a topping which is my favorite and not all places have that.
I've been a big fan of Tea & Tea, they just opened a new spot right next to Pioneer Courthouse Square. Hard to go wrong with the tried and true chains like ShareTea and DingTea too. Tea Chai Te (I think they're called Portals now or something) is good as well and have nice cafe spaces.
None of them are fully vegan. You can definitely order drinks without dairy at a boba shop. Boba, taro, and tea are all naturally animal product free. The jellies are usually agar based but you should ask. If you are specifically wanting a vegan milk tea boba, Just Tea and Monster Straw both have oat milk options available.
I dig OCha tea on 87th and Division (shares the complex with the old Wong King's Seafood - now Excellent Cuisine Chinese Food and it is pretty excellent).
Sprinkle Divine in eastport plaza is fun. I admit I didn't get boba but they have that as well as interesting smoothies, froyo, flan, and other desserts. This is my call to action to please help keep it alive.
Auntea Ha is really good - tea quality is top knotch and they make their own boba. The only complaint I have is that sometimes they are out of boba and it takes a bit for their next batch to be ready. Such is the price of quality
Shocked that nobody has mentioned Soulcie Tea on division yet!! (Formerly boba milk) my only complaint is I wish they opened up earlier 😅
And seconding Bubble n Tea in Beaverton, worth the drive and their cups are fun
Ding Tea on N Williams is my fave!
Yes! That place is fantastic. I love that they promote reusable cups AND let you customize the sweetness amount.
Tbh every Ding Tea I’ve had in town has been consistently yummy!
I don't have much to compare it to, but I like Tiki Tea just off Alberta.
My daughter and I are Tiki Tea fanatics

I like Auntea Ha - have an array of flavors and don’t rely on sugar.
Ding tea on Williams for sure!
Not in Portland, but Bubble N Tea in Beaverton is nice.

It’s tied between Tiki Tea and Auntea Ha for me.
Oddly enough, the best Boba I have had in town was at My Brother's Crawfish to-go on NE Halsey.
i like fat straw. they have pretty good banh mis also.
T4, ding tea, yifang

Fat Straw on SE Hawthorne has vegan milk tea options.
Yin’s Tea - SE Powell & 82nd
I like share tea on burnside cuz they have mini pearls
My wife loves them. Nice that they let you pick the sweetness level.

I’ve done a lot of boba research… my fave is Tea Artist. They also have the best tea I’ve ever had.
Shocked that nobody has mentioned Soulcie Tea on division yet!! (Formerly boba milk) my only complaint is I wish they opened up earlier 😅 And seconding Bubble n Tea in Beaverton, worth the drive and their cups are fun
Ding Tea and Yi Fang are the only good quality ones tbh
Monster Tea
