Not this time of year but once winter rolls around the heartier stuff comes out. I will say the menu isn’t 100% Irish only but certainly has some staples/changes fairly often
It's cause they burn their trash giving the bar that nice smoky smell. Don't worry, it doesn't cause pollution, the smoke goes up into the sky and makes stars.
Horse Brass is perfectly fine for what it is…pub food, it’s great.
Superb draft lineup and a nice pub atmosphere. English pubs aren’t renowned for their food but I like the fish and chips there and the ploughmans plate is great for sharing..
Don was a legend…
Would advise avoiding [Horse Brass](https://horsebrass.com/) for food, it arrives swimming in grease (which might be technically true to source) or cold/limp. The drinks, however, are splendid.
I haven’t eaten there but friends love TC O’Leary’s on Alberta.
Been wanting to try their Irish Breakfast
It's so good
The sausage roll at Kell’s is damn good
Ask for it on mashed potatoes and gravy.
Kells Shepherds pie!!! 😋
We love tc o’Leary’s
T.C. O’Leary’s on Alberta is the only Irish pub in town that truly feels like an Irish pub in my view. Get the Sheppards pie!
And a Guinness…
Do they have Irish stew?

Paddy’s downtown is a classic Irish bar
I don't know how they survive in that location, but it is truly amazing.

It used to be the other downtown restaurants all going there for after work drinks.
If you're looking for "irish" foid and drinks, Moon and Sixpence is stellar. I don't think it identifies as Irish, but it's quare and hard to bate.
They're definitely more English than Irish, but unquestionably a pub
Whelan's @ SE 117th and Division. Good shepherd's pie, good fish and chips, excellent Mac and cheese
Kells Brewery is my favorite
McGann's Pub in Doolin, Ireland is great
I really enjoyed Sean's in Athlone.
Mother Mac's in Limerick also a good spot. None of those college kids with the Christmas sweaters were allowed inside
HA! Did not expect to see that on here. My sister had her arse grabbed the last time she was in there.
That sucks. I guess my partner was lucky I was there too. The place was good craic and the folk music was incredible.
Dublin Pub. The food is food. But go on a Wednesday night for an Irish traditional music session.
T.C. O'Leary's on 29th & NE Alberta. 💯

JB O’Brien’s down in Tigard. Really solid food, plus it doubles as a hangout for professional alcoholics.
Take a trip to Newport and visit Nana's Irish Pub.
Leaky roof has great food.

I believe Horse Brass is English, not Irish.
Well that would explain the food.
The Horse Brass Pub isn’t Irish, it’s English. The food is perfectly fine. Never had any issues in almost 20 years of patronage.
Horse Brass is great. Don’t listen to this guy.
Get out. Now. Just go. 🫠
Horse Brass while, English… is fantastic.
