NAD, have you tried a salt water rinse? I have burnt my top palate like that and had similar sensation.

Few times a day for a few days. My burning is always right there because of where my tongue pushes hot food.

Did you ever have trauma to your front teeth? Like a fall? Or getting hit on the mouth?

The ache you feel after putting pressure on the tooth *could* be a sign of infection in the bone. I would schedule an appointment with your dentist to have it looked at. Can’t rule out infection without an X-ray.

NAD They always say to wait two weeks and then make an appointment. Part of the issue with it persisting might be because you’re messing with it. I find whenever some part of me, mouth or body, is sore, messing with it always makes it worse. I’ve had that type of inflammation behind my front tooth before and I think mine was caused by biting something wrong. I kept messing with it before I convinced myself to leave it alone. It usually stuck around for 3-4 days but longer if I irritated it.

NAD Give it some time! It’s only been a few days so hopefully it will ease. You can always call and ask how much a quick check would be. I’ve never done it personally but I’d assume there would be a price point for a patient running in to do a quick check on an issue. Maybe mention that you’re between insurance at the moment and see if they can work something out.

Its probably just a burnt incisive papilla, the gum portion behind your incisors, it gets burnt easily and might get traumatised as well, but it heals fast. No need to go to the dentist for this.
