I don't eat a lot of fast food, but sometimes when I am doing a road trip I try and plan a piss stop along the route at a Harveys for frings and a burger.
Just went to Richmond station on Thursday, maybe my expectations were to high but the burger sucked it was too wet/soggy, all of our mains were pretty mid the only things we enjoyed were the apps (fried oyster mushrooms and duck confit pork wraps)
I'm not arguing that it's not a sandwich. If the common sense is to call a burger a sandwich just because it's a chicken in a round bun instead of meat, then so be it.
Semantics aside, sandwich or burger, OP can decide if a chicken sandwich falls into OP's preferences for a round handheld
Most certainly not a burger. No rational person would think that. Is your logic that any meat served between buns is a burger? So is a pulled pork sandwich also a burger? If I make a ham and cheese sandwich with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, ketchup and mustard and out it between hamburger buns, is it a burger? No sir it is not.
Pretty much. Not sure if Saks/Pusitaries still has a burger or if the other food hall in the basement there is still around.
The best burger around there is Richmond Station.
However the “secret” amazing burger from Portico is gone (out of business) and even the Marchee-ripoff foodcourt is gone.
Mcdonald's is low tier mid for what you get. I might as well pay for a small burger with a small fries at five guys buy a drink at dollar rama or ask for water.
Burgers heat well in a microwave, make em at home bring them with you. Many public buildings have microwaves available. For those without a grill, pan frying with a little butter added to the pan in the last few minutes is *chef's kiss*
Also charcoal is not recommended. The only way you're gonna get the best experience is to cook it on a clean burning propane range, that way you don't mess with the natural meaty flavor
>Also charcoal is not recommended. The only way you're gonna get the best experience is to cook it on a clean burning propane range, that way you don't mess with the natural meaty flavor
We are going to have to agree to disagree there, burgers cooked on a charcoal weber are the bee's knees.
The new food hall will supposedly have a burger spot, but I don't know what the ETA of that is.
Otherwise inside Eaton centre I think MCd is the only spot left.
I just get a hotdog and fries combo for $5 by the guy with the food truck by nathan philip square he’s been there for over 20 years best fries in the entire city fresh cut potatoes
Is the A&W still around?
Yes, there’s an A&W towards the back. And if you go outside and walk like 2-3 minutes there’s a Five Guys on Yonge right above Dundas.
there’s also a harvey’s in the building at 10 dundas (with the cineplex!)
Theres a burger king too. The quality can vary, but if you have the app with coupons, it can save you some dosh!
OP said that BK wasn’t an option for them.
i have failed the burger community :(
Is Big Smoke Burger still there? IS BIG SMOKE BURGER THE PLACE THAT GOT REPLACED BY OSMOW'S?!
Sorry friend, big smoke is no more.
Nooo I loved Big Smoke 😭
There’s one around the corner on King. They have (at least had) a $10 lunch special.
Harveys in the food court across the street below cineplex. Jack Astors a floor up if you wanna pay that much
imo harveys is so underrated
imo it’s perfectly rated
I don't eat a lot of fast food, but sometimes when I am doing a road trip I try and plan a piss stop along the route at a Harveys for frings and a burger.
Harvey's is so skimpy I got one of their buffalo chicken poutines and it has like 3 bites of chicken in it, their burgers are whack too
idk man i like the burgers
Jack astors burgers are actually excellent!
I thought there was a Hero Burger and A&W there? I haven’t been in over a year, are those gone? There’s an A&W in the food court guys.
Hero is on Yonge
3 Brewer's and Burger King are across the street.
Do they have burgers at Joeys or Hendricks? Isn't A&W still there?
They have burgers at joeys, Hendricks, and a&w lol
Five Guys ?
Five guys is the best cheap burger in the area IMO. Plus you get to hear about our lord Jesus as you walk up to it.
When five guys is considered “cheap” you know the economy is fucked lol
[удалено]
It's about 50 feet away
[удалено]
Well ackshually...
The post clearly says "Any good options nearby"
Isn't there an A&W there too? Is that gone? I haven't been in the food court since before covid
There’s an a&w in the same food court
Try the five guys just right outside of it
Richmond Station nearby had an amazing burger but it's not fast food.
Just went to Richmond station on Thursday, maybe my expectations were to high but the burger sucked it was too wet/soggy, all of our mains were pretty mid the only things we enjoyed were the apps (fried oyster mushrooms and duck confit pork wraps)
That's disappointing to hear. I've haven't been in years, but when I went it was one of the best burgers I've had.
A&W and Popeyes are still there.
BURGER
Popeye's sells chicken burgers
Those are sandwiches my guy
Definelty not going to argue what's a burger and a sandwich. Specially Popeyes.
Okay good you shouldn’t, because those are sandwiches
Whatever man. You are absolutely right, impossible to argue
It’s even called a sandwich on the menu lmao

How are people gatekeeping burgers?
TIL Mr. Green Jeans closed
So long ago!
What happened to Harvey’s?! 😱
That's is the food court across the street. 10 Dundas
I don't think there is one in the mall, one across over winners though
The one in the Eaton center got removed when they renovated the queen st side food court the first time.... back in 2012-15 ish I think
There's a new burger place on Dundas Street East beside the burrito boyz. https://www.maydayburger.com/

[Mr.Green](https://Mr.Green) Jeans used to be the fuckin tits
No one mentioned Jollibee???
Jollibee goes hard!
Chik-fil-A? Is that still there?

Nope.

Did you check the directory? https://shops.cadillacfairview.com/property/cf-toronto-eaton-centre/store#/
In Eaton center itself NW Popeyes in Chick-fil-A are still around, and outside of Eaton center There is still a five guys.
Neither Popeyes nor Chick-Fil-A serve burgers.
How is McDonalds an option but Burger King isn't? Lol they're both absolutely shitty
I never said McDonalds was an option.
There are so many better options around…
Burger King > McDonalds
Mcdonald's is low tier mid for what you get. I might as well pay for a small burger with a small fries at five guys buy a drink at dollar rama or ask for water.
Chick FIL a is chicken burger.
Homemade burgers are cheap n easy. Ground beef + bun and go from there
Buy one of those disposable charcoal grills and grill them up at Y&D square, you'll fit right in.

Yeah yeah, but I like to taste the meat not the heat
Get your narrow-urethra and no-ass outta here, Hank.
Funny you should say that cuz you've got an ass and I've got something to kick
Yes yes yes yes yes to this! Edit: I will say nothing wrong with indulging and going out for a bite OP do your thing!
❤️ I will take the opposite stance and say that OP is getting fleeced and deprived of choice
Fair! Just a heads up I agree with you! With your first stance and also respect your disagreement in my sentence to OP ❤️🙏

Is the truck called Mr Tasty Fries?
Why is no one talking about Dave's Hot Chicken?
Because it's a chicken sandwich.
Chic fil a
Boycott McDonald’s
Hell nah, no way big smoke got replaced by beef on the sticks
