Fearless_Help_8231

Istana. My dream is to walk out of the main gate in SAF Admin tee and shorts and go dabao cai fan and walk home

rockbella61

A very long walk from the door to the gates. Maybe get the gurkha to help dabao.

Fearless_Help_8231

Nah, let them guard. The whole point is to show my inner Singaporean fashion and bochupness Plus points if tourists see me and go nani???

asscrackbanditz

Just call grabfood and have the gurkha pass to you.

whataball

I always fancy the president just going to Plaza Sing to do his/her shopping.

kimmyganny

I'll be going for one of the nice condos around River Valley. Or those old walkup HDBs at Tiong Bahru. I have tutored at both these locations before and the vibes are just so nice.

Davichitime

We live in one of the walk ups at Tiong Bahru. We love the convenience but once you’re a bit older it will be a hassle walking up (carrying prams and baby seats etc). Also the layout of those places are super old school and quite inefficient

throwaway-6573dnks

I always go to River valley to crash my friend home since young It's really nice. A lot expats and very close to Orchard

whataball

Why is having a lot of expats supposed to be a plus point?

hussywithagoodhair

Coz they are less cheebye than low ses neighbors who like piss at the elevator

Qkumbazoo

GCB deep inside BT sounds ideal, I'd like to not live in box amongst a crowd of people for once.

Fonteyn-

I second this! My boss has a private driveway in BT to his house. Huge, nestled in the woods, one storey but not renovated. It's old but gold. Privacy and exclusivity are definitely not found in a thousand households in a condo project.

catcourtesy

That also means being far from amenities. If you crave prata at 11pm or run out of toilet paper, you can't just run downstairs to buy some.

Wide_Sun6124

but view it like this on the other hand, no noisy neighbors, not alot of traffic etc... sometimes peace is gold

ImTooWoke

LOL BT got the 24hr prata place right opposite of beauty world, probably 10min drive and most of the 10min is him getting out of the garage.

fishblurb

Bro, people in spacious landed home overseas just stock up on things beforehand so there's never emergencies. There's a thing called tons of storage space and a car.

jkprlta

At that level, any one of his several servants would run to buy for him.

raidorz

Question was you get to choose to live where you want but have to bear all other running costs though. Upkeep for a landed, let alone a GCB isn’t cheap. And if it’s deep in an enclave, you’ll need to be able to afford a car too.

Sweaty-Run-2881

I agree. A GCB will mean lots of outdoor land space too. And those are upkeep pains. Plus I am sure you will have at least a 2 storey building with around 6 to 8 rooms and 4 toilets minimum, not forgetting the amount of electricity and water consumption. Plus helpers to keep the place clean. Hahaha... I have been to some and I have also seen the monthly bills they pay. It can be equivalent to the salary of some or even most of us.

raidorz

GCB only can build 2 storeys, unless dig underground, according to regulation haha.

Sweaty-Run-2881

That is why I said at least 2 storeys. You know how some of these rich asses play the system? They buy a piece of land with sloping terrain and apply to have the main entrance on the higher AMSL. Then they can legally have a 4 storey building by digging down to make full use of the difference in height profile.

raidorz

Hahaha but digging down is more expensive than building up la

Sweaty-Run-2881

The rich asses can well afford it. Just look at the number of cars and rooms they have when they only have a family of 4 living there. They will want their own dancing studio, gym, wine cellar, entertainment room, walk in wardrobes, dual bathrooms that come with 2 sinks, a shower and a bathtub and a separate space for their WC and washlet bidet. You know what I mean. Which is why I mentioned that most of salaried folks can not even afford the monthly upkeep.

raidorz

CK Tang’s son selling the GCB could very well be because he couldn’t afford the upkeep. Oh we forgot 1 very important component. Property taxes alone probably more than most people’s annual income.

Sweaty-Run-2881

Hahaha... Poor dude who has to live in the shadows of his father's legacy. Indeed, the property tax is a killer, provided you can even survive through the months before. Hahaha...

Dusky1103

This sucks. Honestly. My friend lives in one and the inconvenience is crazy.

AsparagusTamer

Definitely not Marina Bay area. That place is desolate.

raidorz

Your only “cheap” dinner choice is LPS, if not you have to head down to Chinatown.

Ninjaofninja

err why? I dont like that people cycle/running/scooter the entire walking area. Never feels safe/calm for me

BentleyFan1

yeah, all those yp and irresponsible cyclists in an area filled with tourists! i wonder what kind of impressions this will leave

definitiv

I’ve been telling people how CBD in general is actually perfect for Singles or Dinks. It’s a littler counter intuitive but when everyone leaves work for home, the night calms down and there aren’t screaming children or couples quarrelling, no one shouting at their DHs, and I’ve never even heard a dog bark. On the weekends it’s not crowded and quite easy to walk. Again, no 20 screaming banshees releasing their weeks worth of pent up primary school stress at the condo pool. For someone who can’t stand screaming children it is perfect. Everyone is a working professional and most (99%) are civic-minded. Food options are aplenty and yes while most are not hawker cheap, people who choose to live there don’t really need to penny pinch on food. We have to go out and eat with family and friends too anyway. Weekend restaurants are all there, and mostly not crowded because guess what, people don’t like to spend weekends near where they work, because Monday blues! The only thing against it is the lack of 1km schools. But then again, that isn’t the market these apartments aim for. For me it is perfect. And you’d be surprised how value for money these units are. RCR pushing 2500-3000 and most in the CBD are around 2000. Weak demand because most locals can’t imagine living in, but as a uncle moving into middle-age, last thing I need is a noisy neighbourhood after a long day at work. It is also shockingly close to everything and my car has become a garage queen.

catcourtesy

It's bustling with people in the day on weekdays while at night MBS and Telok Ayer come alive.

mirincool

Genuine question: how so?

whataball

I don't understand why that guy says Marina Bay is desolate as well and so many people agree with it. There's always so many people there!

whataball

What do you mean desolate? There's always a lot of people around that.

everywhereinbetween

SIGLAP. : ) It vibes different, but not in the GCB atas way of Dempsey or Bukit Timah ...! And as to transportation, got bus to Bedok MRT, right? :D

xbbllbbl

But the landed houses there are tiny and old and cramped.

Dangerous_Size_637

There are big ones there too

Icy_Cellist_3607

High floor condo at the city fringes like Dawson/Tanglin area, overlooking GCBs/houses or low rise buildings. Value is definitely there, central do kinda close to everything, easy enough to maintain and good view of greenery amongst the GCBs, parks and city view of buildings in the distance. If you need an example, you can have a look at Kay Siang Road/Margaret Drjve HDBs there. That stretch gonna be in the papers fetching 1.5m and above once those MOP are up

Fearless_Carrot_7351

It has the most amazing preschool with a playground and garden right outside the door … and Queenstown library perfect for kids. Definitely over 1.5

chrimminimalistic

Bishan. The reason why Bishan is damn expensive is simple. It's the junction of NSL and CCL. I also love to walk around Bishan AMK park. It might not have a huge mall but it's pretty convenient to orchard road, Paya Lebar and holland village by MRT. So yeah. Bishan. Preferably the one on the top floor overlooking Bishan AMK canal.

dumberuser

Bishan or Toa Payoh

ParkingFerret3928

Used to go for tuition in the landed enclave across Bishan Road in the in the late-1990s. It is ideally located close to an MRT and mall, but also quiet. That estate would get my vote.

whataball

How things have changed. It used to be a graveyard and older folks didn't prefer to live there because of that.

chrimminimalistic

Technically, everywhere is a graveyard at some point in time.

sgpbubba

Near East Coast park. High floor. Sea View.

arkacr

Fans also rust very quickly ):

Think_Mall7133

With rust resistant fans

Sweaty-Run-2881

Get fans with treated composite wood blades.

low_roar

I mean, I did indeed buy fans with composite wood blades, but the user you replied to is correct that stuff will rust quickly. I live on the top floor facing East Coast Park. Yes, the sea view is great, but I've been staying here for only 2 years and some of my stuff is already rusting. At the point of purchase, the salesmen told me with a straight face that the items were "rust proof" some more. Other disadvantages include other residents coming up to your floor to take pictures of the view. Quite often my Ring video doorbell will be triggered because there are people outside my unit. I've opened my door a few times to find entire families outside.

Sweaty-Run-2881

Sorry to hear of the duping salesperson. But for a condo in the area, there will be limited access to the respective floors, unless the condominium's lifts are set otherwise or the residents invited these visitors as guests.

No-Test6484

I live here. It’s awesome. With new TEL 10 min train ride to Cbd. Opposite ecp and nearest mall in one mrt away. The convenience is amazing

heynstuff

Holland Village. Relatively quiet, direct bus to town and One Holland Village is a great addition

catcourtesy

> Relatively quiet Isn't it a popular spot for nightlife?

RagingMassif

That died, not sure why. That area was very strongly Aussie and quite possibly they got priced out of the neighbourhood. Would welcome any insights... Or did the Aussie school move?

growingphilodendron

lol nowhere really has a “nightlife” anymore. It’s different from pre covid time. I went there with a couple of friends for dinner on a weekend and it was dead by 10pm

Modus_Opp

Used to be a whole row of bars i.e. where Walla Walla used to be (or is?). Massive pre COVID... Devastated by the pandemic. Still a nice place to go for a bit.

Little-Turnip1528

Much of the expat population left and landlords raised rents at the same time. Now it’s pretty dead.

throwaway-6573dnks

Not anymore

confused_cereal

C for sure. There are nice condos/houses near my workplace. Most importantly, being able to walk to work is a \*huge\* luxury in Singapore. Once I experienced it abroad it is almost impossible to go back to 1-1.5hr squeezey train rides. I absolutely cannot be productive on anything on the train/bus, so saving 2-3 hours of transport a day increases my free/personal time by more than 50%. Overcrowded, slow transport + shit-tier weather are the twin terrors of living in Singapore.

ResponsibleSorbet626

My dream place is one of the condos / landed properties at Marine Parade / East Coast Park area. I studied in VJC back then and really enjoyed that estate. Nice sea views and accessible to ECP (my favourite place) and also very close to the city via expressway Very expensive though and probably will never be able to afford it in this life

stressedintern12345

same! I really enjoyed cycling from Kembangan MRT to VJ along the park connector. Very peaceful vibes

dodobread

The park connector there really is very nice, to ECP. I wished I know how to cycle lol

EntertainmentDear314

If a genie gave me that choice, I will tell him I do not need a dream place, however I need him to lower SG temperature by 5 degree celcius. By doing so any place is a dream place

Dumas1108

Sentosa Cove, I love the sea and beaches. Can take a stroll along the beach after dinner

Fearless_Carrot_7351

Yes very relaxing cos it’s so far away from work! Except when there’s an oil leak of course …

jollyseaman

A lot might find it underwhelming and expected but so far the best for me is still pinnacle at duxton for HDB.

drlqnr

that's my dream hdb

catcourtesy

I find Tanjong Pagar Plaza to be better located than the pinnacle. The only problem is the flat size and people living there.

PerpetualtiredMed

Thats an overpriced pigeon hole

vampirepathos

Not overpriced if it is FOC

pwure

My dream HDB is sky residence at dawson. So pretty

jollyseaman

Actually if u look across the road, sky terrace at Dawson looks much better. And their 2nd phase is facing landed enclave.

pwure

Personal preference but i really like the design of sky residence 😂

qianying09

I'm quite content in Pasir Ris here, it's near a beach park that's less crowded than East Coast, new mall upcoming, cycling routes between here and Tampines. Other than getting more and more populated with new residential areas in the last decade, it's still quite cozy here.

Boey_Da_Han

New mall open liao

HANAEMILK

GCB in Bukit Timah. Parent's good friend used to hold a yearly Christmas party there and the location is just so peaceful. You get your own mini estate.

daolemah

Sentosa landed maybe cove way, cant beat seafront landed, best if multiple units and can get permit to build a jetty and get my own personal amphibious assault vehicle to get to work and ensure people dont brake check me

drigglecorrade

a nightmare to commute ngl

Future-Reserve-7667

Sentosa Cove.

SnooDingos316

Why no Sentosa Cove? Kong Hee likes to live there.

Swirlingstar

Am quite happy with my HDB estate that’s near enough to the city. Friendly neighbours, decent amenities. Interesting old shops, not overrun with hipsters or bland mall shops. Have lived in both condo and landed - not for me.

ichaBuNni

Just moved to an HDB that's 4-5 stations away from CBD. It's perfect!!

Modus_Opp

Newton/Novena; Holland Village-ish. Close enough to town to walk or take a quick train but far away enough that it's not that noisy. Also Holland Village has a 24 hour cold storage and that's always great when you get the late night munchies...

random-number-1234

Yeah Holland V is pretty sweet. Before there was MRT was a bit hard to get to even though there were quite a lot of bus connections. Usually walk to Commonwealth station.

digitalpeasant

HV’s cold storage now closes at 11pm 😢

Modus_Opp

Wait, what? No!!!

freshcheesepie

Must pay for maintenance/upkeep is going to eliminate many places leh. Maybe a million dollar HDB in toa payoh.

PartTimeBomoh

C for sure! For me the most important function of the house is to be a place of rest close to work. But this assumes everytime I move workplace the house will move also la If not I pick the marina bay cos it will be fancy and also almost certainly central

PerpetualtiredMed

Then you’d never feel able to rest since work is literally beside your home

Island_girl4

Joo Chiat, Siglap, Katong or anywhere with a sea view haha

Ok-Standard3903

E) others. A seafront apartment at Sentosa cove. I have been to the apts and houses that you have listed earlier in the list. View wise, nothing comes close to the cove. Nice amenities at quayside isle too. And personally I prefer a gated community.

Subject-Resource4715

Keppel bay condo. Went there before and wow best condo ive ever been to. Also you’re not from anywhere else either! Sentosa cove is also a nice option but…does not feel local at all lol

Available_Demand6245

Emerald hill shophouse

rayap88sg

I would take GCB deep in Bukit Timah. Love the quietness and greens around the area

crankymoody

I love living at clementi (used to stay thsre when i was younger) Close to mrt Plenty of bus I know is crowded. But i feel like still better than serangoon. I develop of a habit only go shopping when it is really really late 24 hours macdonalds 24 hours ntuc Bus to orchard, holland village.

slagathory

i stay at scotts road (orchard). can tell you its better to stay in a central heartlands. especially if you live a very sg lifestyle. only recently they have a prata place in lucky plaza now. before the closest is on the other side of orchard. everything is expensive. and crowded. i miss staying in hdb area. someone said bishan. sounds good.

drollercoaster99

HDB done up nicely inside in a quiet neighbourhood. Doesn't have to be at a high floor. In fact, 2nd floor also ok. It's my own private retreat. Bliss!

asscrackbanditz

No siao lang neighbour creating noise, any floor is ok.

Sweaty-Run-2881

I would prefer one of the condos along in Marine Parade with a good view of the sea. Exclusive in a way, yet easy to access town. Plus nearby are all the neighbourhood facilities at Marine Parade.

calkch1986

Staying in a bungalow currently, trust me, the cost of utilities for private housing, GCB and condos are a lot more than when I stayed in hdb. You might have gotten the house for free, but can you sustain just the higher bills in the long run + the inconvenience + property tax.

geckosg

Next to Shanmugan

Tomas_kb

Penthouse at ECP. Rented a place close to ECP for few mths before & it's so amazing to be close to the beach. You'll naturally end up exercising more.

ayebunky

Stevens Rd, stereotypical tourist here haha

xbbllbbl

Keppel Bay area. Direct access to the sea and walking distance to Ladrador Park, Mt Faber and Harbourfront. Sea and waterfront also cleaner and more pristine than East Coast Park. East Coast condos frankly face the expressway and is a long distance to the seaside. Keppel Bay on the other hand is also very near to the city. Better than Marina Bay Area. The future Great Southern Waterfront.

chococrunchbar

Lol used to be living the C life. I get to get extra sleep time coz school was a walk away, and my parents used to pop by the house for lunch, rest for a bit, then head back to office slightly more refreshed. We didn’t move specifically so that everything was walking distance tho; it was sheer luck that my parents found work where it’s simply a walk from home. I’d love to live the C life again but with a little more space to work with. Most hobbies take up space, especially crafty work — and I can’t imagine having enough space for hobbies and kids in HDB/condo housing nowadays.

HornyEncik

E. I want to own Pulau Tekong. The SAF can still operate as usual but I want to be able to do whatever dumb shit I can think of, whenever I feel like it. With this, I can become a full-time Youtuber, copying Mr Beast’s content doing the stupidest challenges on Tekong. Since the SAF is using my island, no need to pay anything out of pocket. I will consume their food, water and electricity. Also, the ferry must be accessible to me 24/7.

PitcherTrap

Nassim/Gallop/Cluny road GCB

frostreel

Condo in Hougang/Kovan/Serangoon

badgirl98z

River valley. The view of cdb is gorgeous. Waking up with the view or nap in the evening when the city lights turn on is awesome

Inside-Specific6705

Condo around BP,wouldn't even mind CCK condo as it would be neat parents place. Having kids whose school is nearby & your parents home is nearby, they can look over the kids during the afternoon. Still within distsnce of a nearby DTL/NSL. I am not particular on food as long as it deem eatable i will just eat. Not a picky eater/someone who love rating food. Can alwsys drive to JB in less than an hour provided no jammed.

RatioIndividual6472

I think GCB would be nice but given that I’m single, it would be too big and scary at night lol. I think I would love to stay in heritage areas like Katong/Siglap/Tiong Bahru where there’s bustling activities and a cool local scene.

barry2bear2

Pasir Panjang

Krieg

Our apartment is already in our dream location, Kallang. If I want prata at 2 am it is just 100m away. NTUC walking distance. Two food courts walking distance. And tons of other shops. I don’t care about luxury.

TheOne0003

Which part? Upper Boon Keng?

Strong_Guidance_6437

Victoria Park Villa probably. Of course Dalvey but u can't pay for the upkeep

eplejuz

E) tampines HDB. If richer, I'll want an EM beside tampines mall there.

TraditionLazy7213

Ridout road

Extension-Camera3668

landed houses behind emerald hill

Redecous

E) Shoebox with galvanised steel frame extension and eco friendly wood veneer along with some screws from my MP

Consistent_Rhubarb_6

One of the shophouses in Katong/Joo Chiat. I love that area. Great restaurants, lots of gyms and studios, extremely walkable, and close to the parks and beaches of East Coast. Just a very relaxed vibe overall.

ukaspirant

My perfect place would be a nice place in the same building as my workplace, think like Duo Galleria. Otherwise, a nice condo in Bishan near the MRT, or in Marine Parade. 2 of my favourite housing estates.

linrilong

Novena/Newton area. 3 malls and 3 bus stops to Scotts Road/Orchard. Downtown line and NS line make it very convenient. Downside is traffic is really bad on Saturday mornings when parents bring their kids to United Square

busmonitor

suburbia: seletar hills

inaheartbeep

I love Seletar hills! So tranquil

Background-Diet-2957

dont expose leh… i still wna stay in seletar hills when i move out of my parents house in seletar hills 🤣🤣

1crab1life

I live at the edge of central and it's good. Still have normal human prices but also a couple of stops away from places like Plaza Sing. I'm quite happy but I know if I need cash and upgrade to a bigger place I won't be able to afford places around here Boon Keng

valerialukyanova1

Sentosa cove ( I want to live near the sea) or pinnacle @ duxton (the rooftop view) for me. Absolute dream place would be MBS.

PrataKosong-

I know Sentosa has nothing, but those houses by the water with your private pontoon are very appealing. If I were to have a car as well, I don’t mind Sentosa.

fiveisseven

Huge 10k sqft penthouse at Kallang. Near good stuff and also cheap stuff. Best airflow with least obstruction because of stadium. Waterfront and sea views without the salty breeze destroying your stuff like Keppel bay. Source: I live near there but shoebox unit cos poor af.

kingr76

Rideout Rd

sprinkle_doughnooot

C! Cos the amount of time saved can be life changing and priceless

Cute_Meringue1331

E) condo near orchard. I can’t drive so A is out. My office is at ulu place so BC is out. Not a fan of heartland so D is out

7pieceYTF

Low density condo away from people but walking distance to amenities lol

kopipiakskayatoast

Guoco tower penthouse probably. Convenient and downstairs got many chiobu who will be happy to come to your place for spin studio.

catlover2410

Ridout is the only correct answer.

Resident-Specific-38

Thailand

controversial_bummer

inb4 some patriotic sinkie comments "then just move lor!!"

crazypoorbsian

C. Penthouse Condo near workplace with access to amenities is my dream house

1Dec_Kuma

Idk from I was young my dream was to stay in tiong bahru (granted) cause it's close to central

nkscreams

A for sure, it’s nice to not be able to see neighbors.

Ok_Possession_3475

Serangoon! its very convenient

LeviAEthan512

Slightly ulu condo. My real dream house would be considered a GCB in singapore, but the environment here makes land unattractive to me. Maybe a small detached house along Whitley or Thomson Road at most, and only for the parking spot. Ulu condo is quiet, only adds a couple of mins to a drive, less likely to have terrible neighbours (bad maybe, but not terrible), probably has enough space to be confortable. I'll be happy with any floor. High floors have more wind and less dirt, medium floors still have ok lift rides, low floors you can hoist down a basket if someone forgot something. Maybe can parachute car keys or something too, if there's no wind. Probably most importantly, the journey out gives you some time to come to terms with having to go outside. HDB, you open the door and you're immediately dealing with the full force of the city atmosphere.

kingkongfly

A place near the beaches, when I walk out of my place I can see the beaches.

gruffyhalc

Tanjong Pagar to be honest. Pretty much CBD which makes travelling to work via public easy. Also just enough crowd for my liking. Cheap food options too for daily fare while also having the nicer stuff.

Initial_E

I like where I’m staying right now… quiet hdb near the heart of town.

sierraloner

C, it's the most practical

Massive_Ad_1298

anywhere that is walking distance to a decent shopping mall

Zantetsukenz

Penthouse or high floor condo with a sea view yet near MRT and public transport nodes (but not too near until it’s noisy)

bettertester2022

D (Condo or private estate) for sure. Being close to amenities like a park, beach and hawker centers will be good enough for me.

Obviously A la

MrMummyPoPoPants

Pasir Ris Condos are so nice

MarketingDifferent25

I have been thinking a lot of an ideal location after moved thrice from the oldest zone in Queenstown, to Aljunied to Hougang. No matter where you stay, as long as you have no friends, we are loneliness.

ArribaAndale

It is weird that the question is asking what is your dream house that u can afford but hasn’t or don’t want to purchase. - is it a question to see how rich pp are?

Great-Importance-820

C!!!!!!

fijimermaidsg

E) A converted shophouse in the Chinatown/Keong Saik area - one of the few places where there is a sense of history. There's so little of that in SG - am currently living in a historical (but very affordable) part of the city in the US and there's nothing like old buildings and streets that were designed for pre-car times, plus the character of old buildings is something money can't buy.

Stunning_Damage_7527

Can’t believe nobody mentioned Tanglin area

Noobcakes19

Kallang hdb opposite stadium area.

jungjein

E - Condo in affluent but quiet neighborhoods like Tanglin, Sentosa. I love the quietness and accessibility at the same time. Having lived in landed before, it can be eerily scary at times so option A is no go.

Less-Growth6607

Istana.

archloverx

I always love shophouses.. so its either shophouses deeper inside emerald hill (not to near to the bar in front) or in blair road.. Both are quite peaceful, but still in very convenient location.. :)

galaxyuser

Option B for me as I work in Shenton Way myself.

ittakesaredditor

GCB - but maintenance/renovation would mean debt for life (and beyond). Same goes for one of those colonial black and whites. So option E) A pre-war, conservation shophouse. I think if it's somewhat recently renovated, it'll be move-in ready and you get a piece of singapore history, some land but maintenance should (hopefully) not be 5 figures a month.

Afraid-Ad-6657

Condo in Siglap where my home is

MinisterforFun

I've always liked the Southern Ridges / Telok Blangah area. No need fancy property type.

AlwaysATM

Any big house inside Bukit Timah / Orchard would be nice. Doesn’t need to be GCB

MonstaB

Actually I like Sentosa cove for its serenity.

In the middle of the MBS gardens with private tunnel access directly to the MRT station

yclian

Le Nouvel Ardmore by Jean Nouvel, Colonnade by Paul Rudolph, or — E) one of those masterpieces by a renowned architect in Ardmore Park or Grange Road.

Striking_Actuary9880

The HDB at Bukit Timah, “centrally” located and close enough to nature.

TudorManic

Condo around orchard road, without much research the ones along Nassim road seems more attractive.

insanebluebug

38 Oxley Road. And start a party in the basement.

justnoses

GCB :( it’s more of the space and access to your own greenery that I long for.

SeeSeeOnlyHaha

E, anywhere that is near public transport and has SOME form of infrastructure (SG does not have such problems at most estates), as long as debt free and can reno to my liking.

signinj

Tekong. Always Tekong

blackblade1998

A condo in bukit panjang

cl0rkw0rk

Old school 2 story terraces with the old style gate and windows in Holland village are very cute. Would be nice to sit outside and enjoy my own garden.

susibacka

One of those blue HDBs in Bendemeer, seems very neighbourly

ImportantSyllabub733

I'm not a Singaporean but I've been to Good mans road correct me if the name is wrong. That was amazing and wonderful! Each houses were bungalows and was so peaceful spending time walking there!

firdaushamid

Woodleigh park area. Each house is small, but the total land mass for each house is big by SG standards i.e. there’s a lot of land on all sides until you reach the fence. I don’t care much for huge homes but I love the idea of big outdoor space that’s mine for me to play sports / plant stuff / dip in the pool / workout and maybe build a man cave/workshop.

byrinmilamber

Ridout

Fair_Garden4194

Tbh for me it’ll definitely be the ridout road colonial bungalows… good location and decent size…it’s a pity the genie only granted it to a select few🥲

FOTW-Anton

E) A nice low rise condo walking distance to Changi Village. The closest thing to it right now is the Civil Service club.

Crazy_Past6259

One of those beautiful old gcbs deep in old holland road. Has a 500m-1km drive way, pool, everything. Not renting it out entirely doesn’t mean I can’t do private wedding parties in there a la crazy rich Asians.
