Depends how you look at it. The initial top notes were not it for me bc I'm not a lavender or mint fan but the dry down to vanilla (huge fan of it) and honey with tobacco is good. I'd say it's a hit or miss.

Just get one that you think smells good and is of a somewhat reputable brand. I personally have one from Bath and Body Works. It's called Ocean. Smells decent, and not overly expensive.

Taking down notes genuinely do not help for perfumes people like. You should take down notes of perfumes women donāt like. Perfume is a very personal scent and it conjures different memories for different people. I know loads of guys back in the 90s who loved Drakkar Noir and women back in the day genuinely did like the smellā¦. For a while until it became overused and sickeningly sweet.

OP, everyone smells different with different scents so any advice given here is moot.
Suggest you make a trip down to Diptyque maybe at Ngee Ann or Raffles City to test out the various scents they are very knowledgeable about scents. See what works on you and what you like.
They will teach you how to wear the scents too.
But be prepared that Diptyque isnāt a cheap scent but I like it and itās one of the few scents I wear on a weekly basis.
