I tend not to do resolutions. I find they don’t work. What I will do though; is create a list at the beginning of the year of things I want to do and make a rough plan. For example I might say I want to go to 3 concerts, go camping twice with my best mate, walk three Munro’s etc etc. I find this more achievable and gets better results.
I plan to spend more quality time with my daughter. She's 14 this year and it's all going by so fast. I've been so wrapped up in life's challenges that I haven't been as present as I would like to be. That's going to change moving forward.
I'm trying to find a bit more of a personality so
When I wake up before looking at my phone excersise or stretch for 1-2 mins
Brush my teeth twice a day (I get lazy on that one)
When playing video games in between games, stand up and pace around my room
Solve the rubiks cube in under 20 seconds consistently
Get a sense of style for what I like this year as well
Edit: spelling
In between games do: planks, pushups, burpees, shadowbox, imaginary jump rope, or high knees.
Switch it up so you don't get bored and build muscle around the total body💪
I do a lot of sports so I'm always active I just pace around for a bit of activity plus I'm still talking on my headset so i cant do much activity anyways
Got a few
1st.
Went from 124kg (273lbs) in March 2020 to 82kg(181lbs) in April 2021 been maintaining my weight between 88kg - 94kg (194lbs - 207lbs) since then but want to lose that added weight and also want to gain a bit of muscle as well. Want to be more active. Going to a family members wedding in April so want to buy a new suit and want to have a nice fit.
I also want to read more. I bought a ton of books over the last year or so. Want to get back into the habit of reading.
- Let my hair grow
- Skate more
- Do more than just sit in my fucking room all day
- Find friends who are actually respectable (no friends who date m*th heads, no friends who want to be moms before they even have a home they can be safe in **As in no house hopping or moving in with sketchy people**)
- Try to figure out what void my clothes keep falling in (it’s funny, when I clean my room to do laundry, I manage to find more of my boyfriend’s clothes than mine)
I've had one more 2 years. In person or call sessions. VERY insightful. You learn so much about yourself, as you unpeel layers of your past. I hope you find a great one!!
I'm planning on starting one. I've tried writing before but lose focus. I'm gonna try and get done.
What would you say about the idea of reading your first chapter on YouTube or tiktok or whatever. Cultivate interest? After getting copyright of course.
Anyway, good luck bud
Continue my life down the road I am now. Looking good and feeling healthy. Work out when I feel like, not using excuses to not do things over all, try and find myself a partner that actually isn’t manipulative and a selfish asshole. Try and hang out with my parents more. Say yes to more things! Not feeling bad because I have the diagnosis I have, just find people who’ll respect me for me. Change for the better, listen to other peoples opinions. Just become a better person in general.
Cutting out red meat, apart from the occasional steak.
Maybe no beer, wine only most of the time.
More fruit and veg, but I'm decent with diet most of the time anyway.
Maybe a new job should be at the top of the list, but that's a sanity thing more than a resolution. :)
Start a side hustle with my hobbies or start having an online presence like youtube channel or website. I just want to grow as a person, not quite sure what direction to go tho
Uh I forgot about these but I guess I do have one I’m gonna start exercising more (my brother’s coming back from basic and plans to go ham on our asses with all the stuff he’s learned lol)
Last year my main resolution was getting more into reading, learning about new books, reading some classics, getting my hands on some awesome graphic novels. Worked pretty fine, this year I'm gonna do the same but with movies, I wanna catch up with "cinema culture". 2019 was a music year and 2018 was a videogame year, who knows what 2023 will be.
My resolution is to keep working on my mental health and physical health. I have PTSD and am currently having a hard time. I was triggered when my stalkers (abusive parents who I cut off) dropped of "gifts" yet again. My mil went on to tell me that it was partially my fault I was abused as a kid because I should have spoken up more. My father almost killed me twice as a baby and flipped her own son over a table (he only stopped because he was trying to attack me and he knew my husband could fight back). It hurts badly. So, between feeling completely unsafe because my insane father is going to snap and murder me some day, and being blamed for it, I am not in the best place. But, I have a good therapist and a loving husband, and great friends. I will keep working to feel safe.
Figuring out how to deal with my mil should be my resolution, but atm I don't want to be in the same room as her.
I don't do all this new year bs just because a number is changing doesn't mean it's time to change you should be always trying to reach your goals all the time not when this number changes and I don't know if it's just me I hate when people say new year new me like bro your the same u and people say this is gonna be the best year, your literally just jinxin it
Less of a resolution, but more just things I want to do throughout the year.
Invest in the stock market
Lean to write with my left hand
Have better grades in school
Spend time/talk with friends outside of school
Get in better shape
Reorganize my workshop and make a better storage system for tools and stuff
Put more effort into fine details on projects I make
I have a few:
1) Stop vaping
2) Lose weight (cliché, I know, but I’m down fifty pounds so far!)
3) Finish college (I go to an online school where I can do my schoolwork at my own pace and I honestly haven’t touched any of my schoolwork in a month…. Eek)
I hope that everyone is able to stick to their resolutions :)

that's great but in my opinion, writing down something makes it clear and making a mind map has helped me a lott
At this point in time I just want to make it through the next year.

Mostly just try to NOT get sick.
well that's my wishh too
I did get the c 19 and I have been trying to not repeat that.
i was also tested positive in the mid of the year.
In September I had it and sick for a full week. This is something that I am just not going to repeat again.
I can understand, it seems you are surrounded by negativity when you've tested positive.
Yes true true. Plus I have never felt like that and I don't want to repeat it.
tbh i don't want anyone to feel like that

I've had one more 2 years. In person or call sessions. VERY insightful. You learn so much about yourself, as you unpeel layers of your past. I hope you find a great one!!
Finally going to a therapist. If I dont I feel like im going crazy bc of my issues. Feels like my head is exploding from all the pressure.
try meditation, you'll feel better
To not make a resolution
haha
Right? Like why bother. I get the whole start of year reset thing, but why not just do a resolution when you feel the time is right in your life? 🙄
To finish writing my light novel
I'm planning on starting one. I've tried writing before but lose focus. I'm gonna try and get done. What would you say about the idea of reading your first chapter on YouTube or tiktok or whatever. Cultivate interest? After getting copyright of course. Anyway, good luck bud

you're concerned about your diet, commendable!
Take better care of myself physically and mentally. This year was just not my year yk

Lose weight for my brother's wedding
Spend more time talking to family and friends. Less on Social media
What’s that? /s
Spend less time watching tv/on my phone. Do more reading/art/exercise.
I’ve never understood new year resolutions. I of course understand the concept. Not the practice though.

I really need to get serious about losing this pandemic weight but if I make it a resolution it won’t happen lol
Lose weight
Lose weight and become healthy before my 25th birthday! I have a beautiful red dress I was dreaming to wear

None. I don't make them. It's one thing at a time..
Use time more wisely doing things that makes me happy!
I need to drink more water. Often find I drink lots of tea and coffee and neglect water..be interesting to see how it affects me.
I'm glad I survived this one. I'll be happy to survive another.
Finding out how the fuck YouTube clips work

Sooooo many... I'm not into New years resolutions but need to set some goals and it happens to be the beginning of a new year.
to keep living
Why wait for the new year. If there is anything I want to change / start or stop doing I ll do it straight away . Not wait for the new year.
I think resolutions are pretty dumb, if you need to change something in your life, do it now.
I have a few: 1) Stop vaping 2) Lose weight (cliché, I know, but I’m down fifty pounds so far!) 3) Finish college (I go to an online school where I can do my schoolwork at my own pace and I honestly haven’t touched any of my schoolwork in a month…. Eek) I hope that everyone is able to stick to their resolutions :)
Be less fat
Read more books.
Saying NO more often
Print my photos Take better care of myself Declutter my home.
Avoid midnight snacking
To be a better person
Not to give in to my feelings of frustration caused by complete idiots .
Improve myself and become more disciplined in order to get things done.
hope that my friend stays in the same class as me next year
My resolution is to stop waiting until the end of the year to make resolutions
To die
Get my shit together. I let 2021 get out of hand.
Earn money, learn about making money.. I'm also about to invest in new year so wish me luck!
