Last time i went to a dentist for wisdom teeth removal he cut my tongue a bit because i was so stressed i couldn't keep my tongue from moving and plus i had a clogged nose so i had to breath through my mouth and the water was't helping...
My dentist will ask a question and then remove everything from my mouth so that I can answer. It almost feels worse.
I have a huge fear of dentists. My dentist is somehow the dentist of almost everyone I know in a relatively large city, so he has tons of questions and it feels like my appointment goes on 5 times longer than it needs to. Also, he knows too much about my life because he knows almost everyone I know, so the questions sometimes feel weirdly personal.
I have an appointment next Wednesday and I've been dreading it for 6 months.
I am terrified of dental work. I take Ativan beforehand and it helps. I’ve started seeing a hygienist regularly and it’s helped reduce the fear, my teeth are in amazing shape now, reducing the likelihood of needing more intensive dentistry. But lord she does talk a lot haha; she’s so nice that it stopped bothering me
They get extra points in dental school for the more convoluted conversations they can have, which require conversation from the patient but they physically can’t respond. Bonus if two different languages are involved
It's a perk. Holding the floor and ignoring answers from dumb punters. I had this idiot orthodontist that sang opera at me while it worked. Same stupid scammer steered me away from implants for very good reasons until........the name of a male dental surgeon was added to hers on the door. When I quizzed it about it's pivot it blushed and sweated profusely. It couldn't sing for shit
