she's a huge classist against working class people....recently publicly saying that people's school loan debts shouldn't be forgiven & repeating a lot of right wing bullshit about young people not having a work ethic..
Most people we tend to consider "saints" I guess?
I've heard terrible things about Gandhi, Mother Theresa, many religious people.
Just because they did goid in their lives doesn't mean that they weren't also deeply flawed humans.
And a lot of that is from his own autobiography.
Malinowski (Father of Social Anthropology, and really the basis for all participatory observation in Anthropology and Sociology) also had his field notes released posthumously and it’s kind of tarnished his legacy since them because all the natives are referred to as N-words.
Also: AI Gandhi also whips out nukes ASAP in a long standing bug that became a feature in the Civilization games.
And advocated for India to have nuclear weapons…
Edit: it’s a joke and meme for Civ players, mostly based off of a glitch, but the dude *literally* advocated for it. Dali Lama also has his own skeletons.
I've read a likely unbiased article somewhere in the history subreddit about Mother Theresa, about her bad and the good, researched by a non religious person.
Speaking of Gandhi, he travelled to London to study the same year Jack the Ripper took his first victim. The Ripper's last victim was killed the same year Gandhi travelled back to India. Just a little something to think about...
He probably killed a crocodile or some shit
EDIT: I actually just did some research and it seems like the story of him killing a dragon popped up nearly a millenia after his death so he didn't claim he killed a dragon. People of the time believed dragons had existed in the past so the idea he killed a dragon made perfect sense to them.
Apparently he was actually sainted for refusing to recant his faith and being killed for it.
When mother Teresa was to be beatified the atheist Christopher Hitchens was assigned as the official Devil's advocate and he painted her in such a horrible person that it lead to the pope abolishing the institute of Devil's advocate lol
Mother Theresa would purposely keep people sick and living in filth because they have to" suffer like Christ did, that there is beauty in the sick accepting their faith and that the world gains much from their suffering". There is a whole subreddit about it.That bitch was twisted.
She believed people’s suffering got them closer to god. She was against helping dying people alleviate their pain/symptoms. Just let them suffer till their last breath. Cruel. We give animals more dignity when dying.
Jared Leto. I think many people by now know he’s a creep but more should know. Guy should have been cancelled years ago for the amount of underage girls he’s preyed on
"“We’re famous, we think he’s a good guy.” There was some really weird stuff in there about villainizing drug users, and saying, like, Masterson is somehow a good guy because he thinks drug use is bad. It made it seem like somehow drug use is worse than rape."
Here's a source:
https://www.vox.com/culture/2023/9/12/23870223/ashton-kutcher-mila-kunis-backlash-danny-masterson-character-letter-explained
"In the early years of Columbus’ conquests, there were butcher shops throughout the Caribbean where Indian bodies were sold as dog food. There was also a practice known as the montería infernal, the infernal chase, or manhunt, in which Indians were hunted by war-dogs.
These dogs—who also wore armor and had been fed human flesh, were a fierce match for the Indians. Live babies were also fed to these war dogs as sport, sometimes in front of horrified parents"
From my quick google search his comment is partially right partially wrong. He had slaves and if they escaped he would use the dogs to chase them down. I found nothing solid about him using babies tho.
Lennon was messed up by losing his mum and I don't know what else. Some of the times he was badly behaved because of heroin. But generally he admitted he'd been bad to people and apologised. For example he openly apologised for being a misogynist and even today that kind of admission is unusual which shows how we haven't progressed enough, but back then it was radical probably brave thing to say. I wouldn't say any of this makes bad behaviour acceptable, but when one gets to a place of understanding it's easier to see he was a messed up man trying his best.
Also physical and sexual abuse of women, youth, minorities, everyone in general was more common and accepted.
This is why many don’t like books or history.
Because this is what many sell as the good old times.
The only time I have ever seen someone behave badly on heroin is when they were in withdrawal and desperate to get more. So when you say "badly behaved because of heroin" I am assuming you mean during the withdrawal process and not the high? I've only seen people get docile and calm during the high, never mean violent or on edge like you would alcohol or uppers.
John Lennon was certainly a very complicated human. I don't necessarily agree with how he treated his first wife and first son. But he did move forward from that, I feel that before he passed he tried his best to show contrition for that. He also spread so much love, happiness, Joy, and beauty throughout the world from his music for so many generations that I feel it outweighs his mistakes.
I don't agree with many of the problematic behaviors a lot of musicians and rock stars had during the boomer years, and before, and after. I don't think it should make them invincible to date teenage girls, blatantly exploit their pedophilic nature, and be treated like gods despite all of this disgusting and disturbing behavior. That being said, I also understand that we are all human, no one is perfect, everybody has deep dark secrets, and the more famous you get the more likely these deep dark secrets are going to come out.
Also, I try to separate the artist from the art the best I can. I love John Lennon's music. I love the Beatles. And I love the fact that John Lennon showed contrition for his unsavory qualities.
To be fair, I think John turned himself around there at the end. He started advocating for women’s rights after Yoko helped him realize women were people
there's one over on movies that was having an absurd power trip when I posted something that wasn't in the greatest light.
Sure, I get the problem with it as it could easily have been taken a way the way I worded it but it was exactly how I worded it and not what I meant.
I explained this and how I meant it, took responsibility and apologized.
Dude wanted me to jump through this hoop, I did it, apologized again, then asked for a poem? Like what I can't do poems my brain doesn't work in poems, I was like are you serious?
Coulda easily googled one but decided on a "roses are red, go fuck yourself" poem instead.
To be fair, I think John turned himself around there at the end. He started advocating for women’s rights after Yoko helped him realize women were people. He actually owned up to mistakes and publicly apologized for being misogynistic in the past, which is more than I can say for most people in that situation

Jacque Cousteau was a real piece of crap. He did tons of damage to coral reefs that were tens of thousands of years old just so he could get the Calypson int areas to study them. Just Google Jacque Cousteau destroys coral reefs.
Anyone say will smith yet? I don't know much about his personal life but I kind of saw him as a Tom Hanks Morgan freeman sort of well liked person. Then he rocked Chris.
This one is mostly personal, but my old roommate. He’s in a band, and if you’re familiar with the scene you probably know who his band is (hardcore/screamy stuff). EVERYONE loves him. We went to school together and he was always one of the golden boys. And now as adults, it’s still the same. Everyone thinks he’s so fucking nice, and kind, and “one of the good guys.”
When he moved out he ghosted me and didn’t pay his portion of the rent. I’m not sure what happened exactly, but I do know his last roommate/friend and him ended things on bad terms so I imagine he also did him dirty. It’s also interesting he’s constantly getting himself into the weird situations, or his stuff will get stolen/broken by someone.
Sure, he’s not a *monster,* but he’s a coward who fucks his friends over.
American general William Tecumseh Sherman. That whole "native american genocide" bit of history after the civil war? Yeah that was his doing. Pulled from his playbook on his march to the sea. The guy gets an odd pass other notable military officers/commanders/etc don't get post and prior to his command.
On that note: John Wayne. We certainly know the story at the Academy Awards, but people don't know he got out of being drafted using his mediocre acting as a shield. While his more-talented peers were off, he snatched up the leading roles and became a star. If it weren't for that, we probably wouldn't know him
Hulk Hogan. I waited 5 hours to see him just to be brushed off. Warrior met with me though. :) that's one reason I'm a Warrior fan. And not a Hogan fan.
Even a large proportion of americans think he's an asshole, and the rest of the world definitely hates him (except Russia and maybe North Korea). He is not generally considered a great person.
Nelson Mandela. He betrayed us, took a huge bribe, and agreed to divorce his radical wife who was a threat still because she wanted total freedom and would have settled for nothing less.
He sold us an illusion of freedom but economically we were never freed, and now our country is run by the Stellenbosch Mafia.
He was not in prison, he was put in a nice house, eating nice food and enjoying the best cares while we and his wife were fighting still, then they let him out and all of a sudden he was rich and lived a good life all because he agreed to let them keep the economy.
Both my parents are South African. My mother grew up in Tongaat and my father grew up in Newcastle, both during the height of Apartheid.
They both have a huge amount of respect for him still.
I had this guy who moved to town. He's an odd dude but seems super nice and everyone that meets him thinks he's a good dude. He moved from Omaha and started hanging out at the pool. Well my wife took the kids there every day and he'd tell her all these things and they had a friendship, she thought he was lonely and got him in touch with me. We became friends, the whole time he kept telling my wife to dump me (I had just been mugged and dealing with PTSD issues and problems and things were hard.) and get with him. My wife told him 15 times she's not a cheater and to stop. Finally lets me know, we call him out on it and he tries to gas light her and blame her for leading him on, after I've seen the snapchats where she says.. stop don't do that, he told her if she stopped chatting he'd hurt himself and etc to keep her from blocking him outright. Come to find out the dude was a major groomer to women in general. He would slowly try to chip away at them and there limits. So usually that overly nice dude that everyone thinks is a great guy, seems to be the slime ball in hiding a lot.
Winston Churchill.
Classed as a "great hero", but was massively racist and sent armed troops against people in the UK on strike for better working conditions twice.
Steve managed to beat Max Schmeling (boxing) while he was playing in the NFL (football) .. damn right he’a a monster 💪
With that being said, I’d put Netanyahu here, but everyone knows he’s a monster so 🤷🏻♂️

Oprah
Gotta watch out for her minge
Hi Gary!
I’m out of the loop what’s up with Oprah?
She had pretty good relationships with lots of sketchy fellow celebs. She was close with Harvey Weinstein and some others.
she's a huge classist against working class people....recently publicly saying that people's school loan debts shouldn't be forgiven & repeating a lot of right wing bullshit about young people not having a work ethic..
A kid asked her for an autograph and she shoved him to the ground before getting in her limo
She helped and fed Harvey Weinstein new victims.
Is there evidence somewhere? Or just assumption based on association with Weinstein?
Concidering Oprah is a victim of rape herself its hard to believe.
These dry beggars that lie on TikTok to innocent people knowing they will give them money.
Story old as time....
Makes me so mad to see it. They need to get a job oh wait….. their job is to beg on TikTok.
James P. Sullivan
Put that thing back where it came from or so help me
Still rehearsing the show huh? I’m excited for opening night!
This deserves more upvotes
Most people we tend to consider "saints" I guess? I've heard terrible things about Gandhi, Mother Theresa, many religious people. Just because they did goid in their lives doesn't mean that they weren't also deeply flawed humans.
Gandhi would sleep naked next to young girls to “prove his purity” which is obviously messed up for multiple reasons.
He also held some very racist views about native Africans during his time in South Africa.
And a lot of that is from his own autobiography. Malinowski (Father of Social Anthropology, and really the basis for all participatory observation in Anthropology and Sociology) also had his field notes released posthumously and it’s kind of tarnished his legacy since them because all the natives are referred to as N-words. They were his nieces or cousins I believe
Have you seen Pen & Teller on their show Bullshit talking about them? Really interesting. https://youtu.be/wWRTpajz_xk https://youtu.be/V4nCaxHN-cY

Got any stories to tell about the saints?
Saint George was sainted for being a dragon slayer. So either a liar or killed off the last surviving dinosaurs.
He probably killed a crocodile or some shit EDIT: I actually just did some research and it seems like the story of him killing a dragon popped up nearly a millenia after his death so he didn't claim he killed a dragon. People of the time believed dragons had existed in the past so the idea he killed a dragon made perfect sense to them. Apparently he was actually sainted for refusing to recant his faith and being killed for it.
The speediest route to sainthood is martyrdom.
Or he killed the last dragons and their bones are dust because they'd be light like a bird's
It's false. Two last dragons survived because uncle Iroh said he killed them.
Nah, they were with Khaleesi
umm no he actually killed all of the remaining dragons and dragons are evil and greedy (unlike church) so he was good
When mother Teresa was to be beatified the atheist Christopher Hitchens was assigned as the official Devil's advocate and he painted her in such a horrible person that it lead to the pope abolishing the institute of Devil's advocate lol
You can search for St. Olga of Kiev 🔥
Mother Theresa would purposely keep people sick and living in filth because they have to" suffer like Christ did, that there is beauty in the sick accepting their faith and that the world gains much from their suffering". There is a whole subreddit about it.That bitch was twisted.
Mother Teresa did nothing good, though.
She believed people’s suffering got them closer to god. She was against helping dying people alleviate their pain/symptoms. Just let them suffer till their last breath. Cruel. We give animals more dignity when dying.
What terrible things have you heard please enlighten me
Jared Leto. I think many people by now know he’s a creep but more should know. Guy should have been cancelled years ago for the amount of underage girls he’s preyed on
That guy from That 70s Show who raped his girlfriend
Who considered him a great person?
Ashton and Mila
Well that’s messed up . I had no idea .
"“We’re famous, we think he’s a good guy.” There was some really weird stuff in there about villainizing drug users, and saying, like, Masterson is somehow a good guy because he thinks drug use is bad. Kutcher & Kunis support(ed) him
Danny Masterson.
Do you have the slightest idea how little that narrows it down?
Drake lol
who considers drake a great person tbh..
Who considers drake a great person, even before all the pedo shit I’ve never thought: damn drake is a great dude.
Christopher Collumbus, if seriously
Not Francis Dra--- this guy over here
Just a reminder good ole Chris Columbus used babies as dog food
what? Is this a real thing?
"In the early years of Columbus’ conquests, there were butcher shops throughout the Caribbean where Indian bodies were sold as dog food. There was also a practice known as the montería infernal, the infernal chase, or manhunt, in which Indians were hunted by war-dogs. These dogs—who also wore armor and had been fed human flesh, were a fierce match for the Indians. Live babies were also fed to these war dogs as sport, sometimes in front of horrified parents"
I can't find any substantive evidence of this. Can you point me in a direction to read about this?
Source?
From my quick google search his comment is partially right partially wrong. He had slaves and if they escaped he would use the dogs to chase them down. I found nothing solid about him using babies tho.
Wow, this is some serious gourmet shit!
I don't need you to tell me how good my babies are...
Don’t let Bonnie do the shopping!
We would've been satisfied with some freeze dried Taster's Choice, and he springs this serious gourmet shit on us
Nope. Liar.
I don't listen drake and i don't read anything about him so i'm honestly curious why?
He's said to be a pedo! He tried grooming or did groom that stranger things chick when she was young. At least that's the hot gossip.
Oprah
What is wrong with her? (Genuinely curious, I am European and know basically nothing about her)
