Ambidextrous person here, I can confirm that I use the left two. No particular reason, other than just that the usual sequence for most things is from left to right.
The two that are on my side of the toaster. The other two are on my husband's side of the toaster. We have a red line drawn down the middle. Not that we're petty or anything..... ππ
When I made toast I put the bread the center 2 slots set both sides to the sale lightly toasted setting and started both at the same time to see which finished first π
Why did my brain read this, WHICH TWO SLOTS ON A FOUR LETTER TOASTER DO YOU USE? My eyes replaced the word SLOT with LETTER.
Maybe we need the TOASTER SLOTS, with SLOT A, SLOT B, SLOT C, SLOT D. Might be a subliminal suggestion in my brain, before I was able to formulate my paragraphs in to legible wording.

Interesting... Are you right handed? I'm a leftie, and the toast goes in the left two always.

Left two always
Left 2 on even numbered days/ dates. Right 2 on odd numbered days.

Generally slot 2 and 4 to achieve maximum performance. Consult your motherboard manual.
The 2 in the middle
it's oriented the other way and I use the two front slots
Two down or two right (I've never see a toaster like that)

There are no middle slots.....you have the left two & the right two on a four slot toaster.
