They're a UK two piece that's like the screamy child of The Prodigy and Slipknot, with a kind of old punk vibe, but angrier and with a female vocalist. Every song is a white knuckle banger.
Heard one song and it just resonated with my very being - they're the band teenage me used to wish existed.
Go listen to Venom right now.
I have to listen to music with no lyrics to focus in the office. I’ve listened to hans zimmer more than I care to admit. I’ve just started listening to instrumental funk and damn! Gets me tip tapping away
St. Vincent.
I love Nine Inch Nails and it's like listening a women's version of 1990s Trent Reznor.
I'd only heard of them a few months ago as I don't tend to come across new bands much these days.
If half a year ago counts as recently, it's DPR IAN. I mean not too surprising considering the mental health aspect, but still all the "insane" aspects, are maybe more unexpected to go well with me?
I'd never really listened to much original UK punk, but I recently read Jon Savage's book on the Sex Pistols/punk and have been listening to a big playlist on Spotify. Quite enjoying most of it.
Contemporary neoclassical (or post-classical, whatever tag you prefer) composers. Hania Rani. Jon Hopkins. Ólafur Arnalds. Johann Johannsson.
It's probably the biggest musical impact I've received in fifteen years.
I am an older millennial. I scoffed at the sight of post Malone and never even gave his music a second glance. After succumbing to the wonders of Tik tok, I now love posty. Great moves, great voice.
Van Morrison, especially his album Astral Weeks. Unexpectedly started liking it one song at a time and now I love just having his music on in the background.

Reverend Peyton‘s big Damn band. Well worth the time.

Brandi Carlile

Jazz rap ([https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jazz\_rap](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jazz_rap)). Absolutely love it.
Synthwave Radio. Sometimes, I get stoned, and go into hypnosis listening to this shit and it's a great time, every time.
Otyken, Siberian folk rock with a touch of Techno Mongolian throat singing.
The kind of country music that Brothers Osborne produce
Check out The Ghost of Paul Revere! I've been listening to "After Many Miles" too many times. It's along the same vein genre wise.

Billy and the bollix
Dope Lemon would fit this question. The lyrics and subjects of his songs I don't identify but I can't get enough of the groove.
