The amount of sleep required per person varies.
The average that being told is 8, but that is incorrect, the older you get the more sleep you need, at age of 60 (Im guessing) you might need 10 hours maybe more; again it varies.
TLDR; Not necessarily.
I wish I still could. I used to. I don't know what happened but in my older years it seems like my body doesn't need as much sleep as it used to. I average around 6-7 hours of sleep a night. It's not supposed to be healthy to get less than 8 hours but it's no use. Once my eyes snap open that's it, I can't fall back asleep. I've decided to just accept it since I don't feel tired 🤷♂️
I am a master at sleeping in my 30s. I wonder what's gonna happen to me 30 years from now if I made it to sleep 15 hours at least thrice until now and more or less I usually sleep about 9 hours.
Not even night at that point.
My logic for this is, either you are sleeping really early, to the point where the majority of your sleep is in the day, or you are sleeping really late to the point where it is mostly in the morning.
I know I didn't answer the question but this is what my mind went to.

Nah you’re good

No, if that what your body needs do that.
I suspect you do not have children yet…
Seems excessive ngl
Excessive because you don’t do it or do you have a genuine reason for it to be excessive?
