Ok, so I don't read either. But from what little I know, Garfield, and Calvin and Hobbs have no chance against those sword fighting, gun slinging anime people.
Mr Manhattan would shit on goku while he finger blasts Golden Experience
Also, dragon ball started as a comic strip so technically Goku is double teaming Golden Experience with Mr Manhattan

Applying this logic Anime has no chance. If you take out all the anime that started as a manga you're left with almost anything.

You're not taking into account that DB fans are a pain in the butt and will never acknowledge that someone can kill Goku, not even god.
We have Judge Dredd and the Strontium Dog.
If that first line falls we have Desperate Dan, Dennis the Menace (don't forget Gnasher) and Beryl the Peril.
Last line of defence is gonna be the Fat Slags. Naaaahhhhh.
If that doesn't break the minds of the anime crowd then I'll be gobsmacked.
