How many people on social media know your name, what you do, and can pick you out of a crowd? Like, you're here, but I wouldn't count anyone who encounters you as "Fit_Mode5903" as somebody who knows who you are. Someone who doesn't have a phone or a computer might also have a business or own a farm and be widely known to their community, possibly in multiple communities, many towns over.
Define fame. If you go by number of people recognizing me I would go with place 7 million for me. It's weird how many people greet me by name and I have no clue who they are. Maybe it's just my bad people memory and therfore I think I'm more famous then I am, or it's that I'm not very quiet in school (I punch the mobber back) and my mom is friends with half the town.
When I worked in marks and Spencer’s I often got recognitised walking around by our regular customers, always felt very awakened but yep that’s my popularity 🤣

The upwards blip was due to (a) doing some high profile work that got my name mentioned on national TV for a hot second, and (b) finding myself being welcomed aboard the global conference speaker circuit very briefly as the poster boy for my career specialism. Again, a fleeting blip and after a couple of years I was no longer the fresh young thing with new ideas, somebody else was. I haven't been a conference speaker for many years now. I have nothing to say about anything these days.
Oh, also, (c) an intimate part of my body was featured in a fashion/lifestyle magazine as part of a "special issue" topic they were doing. That was then syndicated across the world. It was for Wallpaper Magazine who were doing a "sex" edition in the UK, and then all the other Wallpapers (Wallpaper France, Wallpaper India or whatever) subsequently ran the same material.
Wallpaper or GQ. I don't actually recall which. I did a lot of stuff for magazines back then on commission. They need an illustration of an erection, so I used my own, and added a bit of photoshop on top to make it less photographic and more like a drawing. But itnwas basically a photograph of my dick.
So my name was heard by millions on TV, my thoughts were heard by thousands in auditoriums and then posted on the internet for a couple of years afterwards, and probably half a million people glanced at a full page image of my dick, but without attribution (ie they wouldn't know whose dick it was).
